LINVAL ‘PICKINS’ MCFARLANE - GROOM EXTRAORDINAIRE

He is one of the most decorated grooms in the history of horse racing at Caymanas Park. He has won the grooms’ championship on three occasions, was inducted into the Hall of Fame of racing in Jamaica, and is a recipient of the coveted None Such Award. Linval McFarlane known to all inside and outside of racing as 'Pickins,' also holds the distinction of grooming a Triple Crown winner. In his over 40 years in the horse racing industry, Pickins has done it all. He shares his life story with Quickgallop.com, and its CZcams Channel - The Quick Galloper.

Garett Arscott if I can remember clearly I think it's the other way around, actually Thunderbird won the Gold Cup and the Superstakes and Legal Light was man handled in the Superstakes by the mighty Thunderbird.and was to be the last time he ever raced due to his untimely death caused by colic.

Legal Light never run in the Benson Gold cup and fanna made a big mistake in the Super Stakes the track was just resurface so the inside was very heavy every body went outside all day in the previous races and fanna went inside on the dead rail and lost the race so it wasn't no manhandled, they ran twice d score was 1/1 ,but the Light would have had his ticket in future meetings if he didn't passed away 😀😀😀😀😀,how comes pickings never say she's a Maneater and he was around her for her career and other people have her as the greatest, sounds strange pardie would a vex with him 😀 😀😀

One thing i know, this man get all the biggest horses over Wayne stable, only time a next groom get a big horse only if him refuse it, because am never like that how that one look from dem a branco, most of the groom knw from them time ova Wayne stable.
