I don't think Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chiperecked is a bad movie. It was very fresh, energetic, and sometimes heartwarming. Plus, the chemistry between Alvin and Brittany is beyond adorable.

For example, Jason Statham is type cast in action movie roles as an antihero who often has bad things happen to him that he must fix using action packed fight scenes. You wouldn't expect to see him in a comedy movie or a children's movie.
So the actress may regret being in the movie for type casting reasons, she doesn't like the idea that she played a supporting actress role for a CG anthropomorphic chipmunk, or maybe she is tired of receiving DMs from people asking if they can hide their nuts in her? Who knows.
You can legally kill Alvin and the chipmunks because chipmunks are classified as vermin.

Honestly, these movies were my childhood, so I have a soft spot for them. I went back and watched them all, and I can say that the first 2 were actually pretty good and enjoyable. The 3rd one was when the cringe started appearing and the 4th one was actually pretty bad and super annoying. Don’t hate on the first 2 though. Movies like that with no extreme plot where they’re normal… basically don’t exist anymore.
The best joke in the whole franchise was in road chip when in the airport miles said it’s just a doll and the security guard replied with Chucky was just a doll

As bizarre as these movies are, I still like them for the sake of my childhood. I used to watch them a lot when I was in elementary school. My teachers always played these movies during the last few weeks of school before summer vacation. I haven’t watched them in almost a decade and I’m thinking about rewatching them.
The 1987 movie "The Chipmunk Adventure" is super fun and everyone who has any interest in the Chipmunks should watch it. It has this song "Diamond Dolls" that I unironically love and listen to all the time. The story itself is pretty interesting too.
*Random Stupid Fact Time:* Zoe is played by Jenny Slate, the voice of Gidget from Secret Life of Pets and Mayor Bellwether from Zootopia. Chipwrecked is actually her first role in a major theatrical film.

@@Puki9117 but then everyone remembers that Alvin is an actual chipmunk and any relationship with a human would just be incredibly uncomfortable and awkward. It was weird for bee Jerry Siegnfeld and for Sonic with Elise in Sonic 06.
