The brain is the only organ in the body that wants sugar. It will literally ask for it, it will make you crave for it if you don't have your sugar levels in blood controlled because brain need glucose to function and sugar is the easiest way to get it. The more processed a food or additive is, the more likely it is to cause numerous health problems. And some things like sugar has many problems caused by it's use. Addictive, fat creating, emotion screwing, and other problems. I'm currently trying to step down my use of sugar. Second worse thing I've ever put in my body.

I've never felt pleasure from sugar consumption. Once a year or two I'll decide I should try and eat a bunch of reeses, or a darker chocolate but usually the sweetness winds up being too much after two or three pieces. Fruits are pretty good though.
if you get too much sugar daily or trough the week, you get another type of dopamine that feels better when you go sugar free for two weeks. in fact you might get addicted to that too. but the feel good effects is only gonna last for so long.

And once you stop eating so much sugar you get sick. I started developing health issues and had to quit sugar, cold turkey. I got sick for a couple weeks. But I am dropping weight really fast. I get a normal amount of exercise and I haven’t changed my activity since I started my diet. I was 270 a little over 2 months ago and I’m 232 now. My 1 year goal was to lose 75 pounds. Looks like I’m going to beat it 😂
@@ailynevensen No, it works for us too. I'm a woman with PCOS, which means I gain weight incredibly easily and have more trouble than an average woman losing it. Cutting sugar is the only way I've ever managed to lose weight. HOWEVER...cutting sugar means more than just switching to diet soda and not eating candy all day. It also means cutting out the hidden sugars and those in "healthy" sources...like granola, smoothies (which are just mlikshakes by another name!), instant oatmeal, yogurt, breakfast cerals (yes, even the boring high fiber ones), store or restaurant bought sauces and condiments, sports drinks, trail mix even if it says "omega-3 mix" on it, any kind of nut milk unless it's specifically unsweetened, all oat milk, all fruit juices, and some brands of bread and peanutbutter. Also, controlling portions on high carbohydrate foods that aren't sweet like potatoes, pasta, bread, rice (I have a blood glucose monitor and rice spikes my blood sugar worse than actual candy!), and portion sizes on some fruits. Fruit isn't called "nature's candy" for no reason, and just because you eat dried cranberries on a salad, or chocolate in the form of a Luna bar, doesn't magically lower the amount of sugar in them. Men do lose weight more easily than us. That's just a fact, but there's some science to suggest that cutting out sugar is probably actually more effective for weightloss for us. We just have to be serious about it. We can't switch to snacking on pretzels instead of peanutbutter cups, and call that "cutting out sugar" the way that a young 20 something dude might be able to get away with.

And once you stop eating so much sugar you get sick. I started developing health issues and had to quit sugar, cold turkey. I got sick for a couple weeks. But I am dropping weight really fast. I get a normal amount of exercise and I haven’t changed my activity since I started my diet. I was 270 a little over 2 months ago and I’m 232 now. My 1 year goal was to lose 75 pounds. Looks like I’m going to beat it 😂
232 is still a lot fatty

Candida die-off is likely the sickness you experienced after cutting sugar from your diet cold turkey. A slow change would be better to avoid that :)
@@ailynevensen No, it works for us too. I'm a woman with PCOS, which means I gain weight incredibly easily and have more trouble than an average woman losing it.
Cutting sugar is the only way I've ever managed to lose weight.
HOWEVER...cutting sugar means more than just switching to diet soda and not eating candy all day.
It also means cutting out the hidden sugars and those in "healthy" sources...like granola, smoothies (which are just mlikshakes by another name!), instant oatmeal, yogurt, breakfast cerals (yes, even the boring high fiber ones), store or restaurant bought sauces and condiments, sports drinks, trail mix even if it says "omega-3 mix" on it, any kind of nut milk unless it's specifically unsweetened, all oat milk, all fruit juices, and some brands of bread and peanutbutter.
Also, controlling portions on high carbohydrate foods that aren't sweet like potatoes, pasta, bread, rice (I have a blood glucose monitor and rice spikes my blood sugar worse than actual candy!), and portion sizes on some fruits.
Fruit isn't called "nature's candy" for no reason, and just because you eat dried cranberries on a salad, or chocolate in the form of a Luna bar, doesn't magically lower the amount of sugar in them.
Men do lose weight more easily than us. That's just a fact, but there's some science to suggest that cutting out sugar is probably actually more effective for weightloss for us. We just have to be serious about it. We can't switch to snacking on pretzels instead of peanutbutter cups, and call that "cutting out sugar" the way that a young 20 something dude might be able to get away with.
