- Today we begin a new challenge in which we play through the game but if we get hit, we lose maximum life (20 for now but will increase in hardmode). Additionally our mana count will also be going down by 5 (quarter of a mana crystal).
Huge thanks to DarioDaf for creating the mod! The mod is titled "Ghost n' Goblins" and should be available for download on the mod browser within a week or two!

maybe wanna try the "limited health" mod, it is similar, but you only get 15000 hp for your whole run, only way to get hp back is life crystals and life fruit, death is permanent...
I was going to say that, and he could combine it with health and mana from bosses mod
that mod seems like a much better idea than this series

You know, I find the best way to dodge Queen Bee's charges near the end of the fight is actually dashing *into* them with Shield of Cthulhu: the i-frames let you pass through without taking damage, and it does a bit of chip to the boss as well. Eventually you do have to combine it with jumping over though

I personally like the idea of "Get hit, you lose permanent life, but you can restock infinitely"
Just because it puts massive pressure during a boss fight, nothing else, really. But you can only use life hearts at base only
What i would do now in hardmode is save up a bunch of heart crystals, set up a life fruit farm, and then once i had a surplus of life fruit i would get up to 400hp and then use all the life fruit to get to 500hp and then continuously stay above 400hp to get back hp unlimitedly.
Diamond robe would be really good for this run as it is the chestpiece that gives the most mana, using the titanium mage head and forbidden treads will give you the most mana before bosses letting you concentrate on getting menacing for your accessories instead of arcane
True but defence would also be important because gungir will constantly have low health.
@@iforgotoputausername He will lose less health if he kills the boss quicker, also defence is ballanced around you having 400 health and stuff so it is very underpowered in this sort of run where you will almost never have full health
@@imwithmilk8162 yeah it would be better to have more damage. But once he gets to hardcore he needs at least some defence otherwise he will be 1 hit by bosses, especially sinve he has limited life crystals.

I thought this would work in the way that you would only be able to take 20 damage before you lost the heart crystal, but it looks like if you just get hit once you lose the heart. You essentially just have 100 with a couple extra hits. Kinda weird.

I think this idea would be more interesting with mods that have accessories or something that give you additional life, thus giving you more life but wasting an accessory slot.

I thought it meant the HP lost is taken away from max. So if you take 13 now you are at 87/87

As someone who watched the streams live, this is probably one of my favourite challenges yet (mainly cause seeing streamers/youtubers get mad is funny).

I thought you were going to lose the amount of HP you took as damage, like, tanking a full lunar deathray would hack your max health all the way down

How about a challenge where you start with 500 health and every enemy damage is decreased to 0.
However every time you get hit you loose 1 point of your maximum health, basically perma killing you when your health reaches 0.
And you can't use life crystals/life fruit.
Getting hit 500 times and the run is over.
Health can be adjusted if deemed to easy.
I do not understand how he stays calm throughout the whole game. If I lost to queen bee and she was at 37 HP I would uninstall immediately

This playthrough looks like it basically just boils down to being a 100 hp run, which is cool and all but kinda takes a bit of the charm away from the concept.

I’m guessing your dungeon didn’t have a waterbolt at the entrance? Because they would of made a lot of fights a lot easier! (And yes, he did say he was playing pre 1.4)
18:00 i relate to kinetoxo in chat so much. people are like "i suck at this game" and then "eater of worlds is free" and with like 320 health, tungsten armour and demon bow + jester arrows i cant even get master mode eow below half health...

I would've suggested stockpiling fallen stars and heart crystals and just stay at 100 health and use them before boss fights

Would be cool if the mod reduced the hp up to 20, and after that change your character to hardcore and if you take even one hit, you're dead permanently

Yeah looking back I can definitely see how people might get that idea from the thumbnail. I made a new design that hopefully will get the right idea across. I appreciate the feedback!
