On I think all version of windows. Even if you have figured it out through other methods this is still worth doing. Because the use of the printer after words is simplified.
Using Windows 10 and a Zebra LP2844
The place I get the drivers from is 3rd party, but they have been refining their drivers they put out for a very long time.

This was big help to install have not used to print shipping label yet but going to once i get label setup hope it works lol. i use paypal and ebay to print labels and they always give me problem on these printer. either way great info. video thanks again.

@@freewaresucks Mine is unable to locate the printer when searching under USB. The magnifying glass keeps spinning.
@@osamabindrinkin40s I would say restart printer and trying again. Is the light around the feed button on does it feed paper through when you press it, probably does but just in case and then I would while it's all turned on and USB is plugged into pc try rebooting pc and try the process again. Sometimes the addressing to USB ports freeze up. Or you can also try network option I think that can work that way also and choose USB something something zebra it should say.
@@freewaresucks what does that mean when I troubleshoot the printer it says "USB Printing Support is an older USB device and might not work with USB 3.0"
@@osamabindrinkin40s windows saying that? Is the port your hooking up to 3.0 you could try a 2.0 I don't know what model number your zebra is but im fairly certain usb 3.0 ports are backwards compatible with 2.0

Hey there, I'm getting to the connect printer- How is this printer going to be attached- I have selected USB- I however can't click the next button. I have the printer turned on and plugged in- I just can't click the next button- Any idea- For some reason I was able to get it working on my laptop- Just not on my desktop- My laptop also says it is called the Eltron LP2844 not ZP 450

This was on the same OS, thats odd not going into the queue suggest a few possibilities though. Like its directing print job to somewhere but and allowed so not erroring out but not going to the correct printer either. Sorry on late reply

Yeah, I personally would just take that error message and either google or search youtube to get it fixed. Here's one of the many error's people get for instance and the fix to it. czcams.com/video/aRPcxM7mE_0/video.html It matters if its windows 10 or windows 7 and if one is 64 bit and the other is 32 bit and many, many things like that.
When I download the ZP450 driver, click on “install printer drivers” proceed to next, that’s where the trouble starts. I cannot choose the USB option. It keeps showing me the magnifying glass searching. I tried using different cords, different sequences between turning printer on and off, and reset to factory settings. Nothing worked.
Another person down in the comments was having this issue with a laptop and using 3.0 USB ports on it. I'm not sure we ever figured it out I might have to do an updated video of this sometime when I get 3.0 ports. U could try network option instead but you have to know which USB port that zebra printer is hooked into. Reason why I choose USB option for vid was so ppl didn't have to figure it out but seems sometimes you have too.

I have zebra zp505 and I cannot figure it out how to install it. There no zp 505 on the list.
Don't know if you figured it out but ZP series were made specifically for Fedex. You have to download the drivers there. Good luck!!!

So how can I connect my usb printer to the network ? Have multiple computers .
So with any printers on a Windows machine you can "share" that printer for other computers on the same network. This requires a process I'm not familiar with off the top of my head but Google something how to setup a printer share on your version of Windows and that should lead you in the right direction.
What this process really does is allow same networked computer the rights to access the machine that has the printer by changing some security setting in the on the printer
What software do you use for printing?
You can use any software you'd like for printing to the printer. I myself don't have any certain one piece of software I use to print labels from amazon and ebay. I would just set the shipping label to 4x6 and push a print label button.
@@freewaresucks thanks. I'm trying to print small 14mm x 30mm Clear stickers but using your install method and also Zebra Designer PRO they are conflicting.
@@craigdavidson52 Yeah I'm not sure but I think when you install zebra software it would install the drivers for the software also I've never used zebra stuff before. I could be wrong on all that. I havent used zebra printers in a long time now and im sure all has changed since by now.
I have a ZP500 plus when I get to the connect printer page it will not let me proceed via USB. Is anyone else having this issue?
I think so just a magnifying glass searching forever? I think either the usb plug isn't recognized and maybe you could try network option and in that should be a list of ports and one should be labeled with your printer? I think anyway. Like 3 or 4 people have had that issue. I might need to video that sometime also, never seen this issue everybody has talked about though.

I was wondering i get labels from fedex and ups sent thru email for returns in my store how can i print them from the email thanks?
Are they inside the email body or attachment to the email? I've never gotten a return label in that way.
freeware sometimes they attachments and sometimes looks like a screenshot .
Ah well you could just use a program like lightshot to capture the screen. Or if you need further cropping you could just use paint or something but I like briss it's a little program that can crop pdf's. Either way once the image you want in a file. Whatever program you use to open it with you would just print to the zebra and it should be fine. That's the more manual way to do it. Other way I'm not 100% sure but I'd imagine you would have to hook your FedEx/ups account into the appropriate shipping program. I think FedEx is ship manager or something like that those would bring up the label you would want and interface with the zebra once that program is set correctly you would just print from there with no cropping or anything like that. Those companies have staff to tell you what the program is and how to set it up. Or you could log onto the account FedEx or UPS online and print from there I believe. Of course this all depends on whether its your FedEx or UPS account or eBays fedex/ups account. If it's eBays then I'm not sure in the seller portal where that would be and could print directly from there. I used almost exclusively USPS.
It is returns from companies we deal with so they just send us call tags which basically the ups or fedex labels to our email which seems to be sometimes pdf or looks to be a screen shot or a link to their site to print. either way if i do ebay usps etc. no problems printing with zebra but if i try to do from any of the items send thru them to email zebra won't print scale size correctly or will do too big too small or multi pages out of wack.
PyroZippy yeah try lightshot just Google that install it you'll see how to use it on there website that can be used cause the issue you have is it needs cropped

Yeah I heard this once before my thought was to make a video on doing in the same process to use the network option even though its usb. I hadn't have the time yet. But if you select the network option instead, it will show a list of interfaces available to choose from your computer and it would be one of the usb ports. A few other people also say it is never recognized either which this would also be a way to get it to work.
Didn't know that would be an issue but its technology always changing issues with usb 3.0 and stuff like that. But the software and driver are the best,
