Domenico Cimarosa was one italian composer born in 1749. He was part of the Napolitan school, during the classical period. He composed about 80 operas, the best known being Il Matrimonio Secreto (1792).In addition to the operas to which he dedicated himself almost exclusively, he distinguished himself for composing instrumental and religious music. His operas are composed in the various places he traveled through Italy, namely Rme, Venice, Florence, etc. He was hired by Catarina a Grande as conductor and composer of the court between 1787 and 1791. He returned to Naples where, for political reasons, he was arrested and exiled. He dies in Venice at age of 51. Although his attention on manly on operatic composition, he composed music for strings, oboes, horns and trumpets and occasionally bassoons and flute. Includes for the first time in the orchestra in St Petersburg, clarinet music enriching the orchestral sound with this new instrument. He wrote numerous sonatas for piano. From these arises the concert for oboe, which appears to be composed by Arthur Benjamin, through of that.
The beauty and sensitivity of the melody is sublime. It deeply touches its delicacy, leading us out of this world. Harmony is fantastic. The interpretation of the oboist is amazing and the direction of orchestra superb.

Ho conosciuto per caso la bellezza delle composizioni dei grandi musicisti del '700 napoletano. Questo concerto è una meraviglia.
sono cresciuto anni ('70 - '80) ad Aversa nella via intitolata a suo nome, e proprio di fronte alla sua casa (abbandonata a sé stessa).
Da piccolo andavo a vedere al sabato i concerti (perlopiù di musica da camera) che si tenevano credo al seminario dietro san Paolo (mi ci portava mio padre ovviamente) e poi di ritorno prendevamo la mozzarella appena fatta e raccolta direttamente dai vasconi dove gli artigiani casari la lavoravano.
Che splendidi ricordi di un mondo che non esiste più.

Cimarosa est un musicien trop méconnu ! Pourtant cette oeuvre, qui utilise merveilleusement bien le son mélancolique du hautbois, aurait dû lui valoir plus de considération... En tout cas, merci de la mettre en ligne, parce que je l'adore !
Charme supplémentaire : ces petits grésillements du 33 T. qui lui donnait un charme que n'aura jamais le CD...
Petite précision : le chef (époque bénie où une station de radio pouvait se permettre d'entretenir tout un orchestre !) s'appelle Louis DE Froment.

Excusez moi, mais poster Cimarosa sur youtube prise sur un vinyle, c'est nous faire ressentir la statique et la poussière? Grâce au ciel, la qualité est faible et normalement disponible sur les haut-parleurs du PC.
A ma connaissance, il n'existe pas de version numérique originale ; de plus en 2013 , je n'avais pas de logiciel de restauration ; alors qu'importe le flacon pourvu qu'on ait l'ivresse !

Tal vez resulte decepcionante para todos saber que Domenico Cimarosa NO COMPUSO este concierto sino el célebre compositor australiano Arthur Benjamin (1893-1960) que usó temas de sus sonatas para teclado. Sería como decir que el ballet Pulcinella de Stravinsky fue compuesto por Gianbattista Pergolesi (o el Adagio para Cuerdas y Organo de Remo Giazotto fue escrito por Albinoni !!!.)
Il peut être décevant pour tous savent que Domenico Cimarosa pas composer ce concert, mais le célèbre compositeur australien Arthur Benjamin (1893-1960) qui a utilisé les thèmes de ses sonates pour clavier. Ce serait comme dire que Stravinsky Pulcinella ballet a été composée par Giambattista Pergolesi (ou l'Adagio pour cordes et orgue de Remo Giazotto a été écrit par Albinoni !!!).
Merci pour ces mises au point nécessaires et tout à fait inconnues du grand public..
Benjamin a pris des sonates entières de Cimarosa pour clavier et en a réalisé une simple transcription pour Hautbois et Orchestre, on peut pas vraiment dire qu'il en soit le compositeur puisque il n'a fait qu'un travaille purement technique d'arrangement. Rien à voir avec Pulcinella de Stravinski qui lui, c'est simplement inspiré de quelques mélodies de Pergolesi pour composé quelque chose de tout à fait original. La comparaison avec l'Adagio d'Albinoni est encore plus farfelue puisque cette composition est une oeuvre entièrement composée par Remo Giazotto et qui n'a strictement rien à voir avec le compositeur Albinoni, l'histoire du fragment manuscrit d'Albinoni que Giazotto aurait trouvé dans la bibliothèque de Dresde en 1945, n'a jamais été prouvée!
