Next up in the fast food review series is Wendy's. Let's see how the menu stacks and do a deep dive into the ingredients they use. Is it just me, or does Wendy's taste way better than McDonald's, and they even use better ingredients fr the most part.

I used to work at a wendy's...actually the produce was very fresh, we baked the potatoes fresh...made the chili from scratch everyday with the hamburger meat fresh onion and bell peppers. The salads were a great option too.

I worked at Wendy's my highschool senior year. I learned alot and it was a good starter job. I've always thought it was healthier food than most fast food. Thanks for the review :)

The UK tried to label all prepared food in what they called the traffic light colors. Green healthy, Yellow not so good, Red really bad. At least the public was able to choose. They were still attached to the European Union at the time so were out voted then . But a chain store did adopt these labels & their sales soared.

I think one reason I love watching this series is because Bobby probably enjoys these items more than us because we are all addicted to fast food and desensitized to the flavors. I appreciate him sacrificing his body to educate us and teach us some healthier options.

I used to work at a warehouse that supplied Wendy’s. When the frosty liquid would get spilled on the floor, it would turn to a gummy paste that was hard to clean up. Was never able to get a frosty after that and imaging that gummy stuff in my stomach.

Not actually a dairy product. I worked at MCD’s and had to put in the goo bag into the machine and magically it came out as a shake. I did not eat them.
I personally want to thank you bobby, if it weren't for you, id have never known about the roundup in the oatmeal. Which was actually making me sick, since i switched to organic ive been feeling so much better. Thank god you bring this evil industry to light

When Chinese food take-out places started doing away with MSG in their food, you thought it was the last time you would hear from monosodium glutamate, but thanks to Bobby’s tour of fast food restaurants, it turns out MSG is hidden in the ingredients in the form of such names as disodium phosphate and blatantly called mono sodium glutamate itself… good work, Bobby for sounding the alarm on these places to eat that brought back MSG and also use hydrogenated oils (trans fats, NO!!!)

Love your videos. My uncle and I have learned a lot from you. We check our food labels/ingredients every time we go to the grocery store, and now, the next time I go to Wendy's, I'm going to try a burger on a lettuce bun. I had no idea they would fix a burger like that. My uncle and I have been feeling so much healthier since eating cleaner foods thanks to you.

Burger with vegetables with side of broccoli. No bun no cheese(factory farm gmo cheese) no ketchup (filled with corn syrup) No mayo ( made with garbage oil and factory farm gmo eggs.)
Yesterday went to Culver's and ordered two hamburgers. I said and on my two hamburgers I want onions pickles ketchup and mustard and she asked me if I want cheese on it. I had to repeat my order two more times. They don't know when to stop.

Yes yes yes, please do Culver's. My husband and I always get the North Atlantic Cod dinner with A side of broccoli and Cole slaw. We pass on the roll, and drink water. I would love to know if this "healthy" meal is in fact a good option.

the sugar and oils in the bun is way worse than the fat in the burgers! Lettuce bun is the way to go!

My favorite on their menu is the Southwestern Chicken Salad, however I will be making my own. This will help me make better food choices for me and my family when we eat out. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️

Super helpful info in regards to the salads in particular. I used your earlier suggestions when I traveled related to Chipotle and found a tasty, healthy travel option.
I remember in the beginning, Wedy's offered Burgers and Hot Dogs, plain. Topping were listed on the menu and you picked which ones you wanted. It was great!

i'm currently trying to get over my fast food addiction and i didn't know about the msg, which makes sense. i knew there was something in it that made it addictive i just didnt know what. i'm on my 4th week of not having fast food. it's harrrrrrd but i'm trying!
I switched to an ultra low carb diet about 15 months ago and lost 62 pounds. I never was able to lose weight before no matter how much exercise I did. I prayed to God to give me a solution to lose weight and he revealed to me the low-carb diet. Now, when I even consider eating something unhealthy, I have an aversion to it. I don't eat pizza, bread, pasta, ice cream, or anything else with a lot of sugar or carbohydrates. I don't even drink a beer anymore because most beer is full of carbs. The big surprise is that I don't really miss any of that stuff. And I am thrilled that I have lost this weight. .

I just received my Seed probiotic and my mom commented on how nice it all looked, from the box to the container. That container (and the travel container it comes with) is glass! You can also peel off the information packet and the basic info you need for everyday is printed on the back. They did a lovely job! :) Bobby! I'm scared to ask it, but you should look into El Pollo Loco (if they're in your area)!

Did I miss something?...the question was asked, "is Wendy's healthier than McDonald's?"..of which Bobby didn't give a definitive answer. Regardless, I worked at Wendy's as a high school student and through my first freshman semester in college and even then, just like now, without a doubt, Wendy's is healthier than McDonald's.
Can definitely agree with that! Worked at a wendys for a year and the food was always made fresh, store was extremely clean and the quality wasn't bad. I mean, if you get something fried it wasn't the best but most of the healthier options are pretty good.

If you think Wendy’s burgers are salty then you should try Freddie’s!
I used to work at Wendy's for over a year, and I can tell you that the salt content in the burgers and fries will vary. The workers manually apply salt to the burgers before they are cooked, and the same with the fries once they come out of the fryer. Some of the more apathetic workers will over-apply the salt and some of the managers will barely add any at all LOL 😆

You can ask for which ever burger you would like freshly cooked, with no salt, same with the fries.

I'm glad you did this video, thats actually a medium frosty they gave you. And as for any sandwich if you want lettuce as your bun, just ask, we will be more than happy to provide it for you.

You can also just get any sandwich/burger in a tray, which is what I do (as I'm not that keen on lettuce), and they always seem happy to do that. :)
Most places I’ve tried to get just the meat and fixings the cashier hit vapor lock every time.
Sometimes they are super new and haven't yet been trained on every option, just say, I want a sandwich but with lettuce as the bun, and even then they should be able to get it.

Thank you for mentioning salt content... I ordered Pipcorn Herloom Popcorn Scoops from Thrive Market, and not only are they salty as can be, but they're fried in sunflower oil (which is, supposedly, NON GMO). But even though I did not pig out on them last night, I now have a nasty, greasy heartburn that tastes like the chips, just after them being dressed with battery acid.
But I've got to admit, those damned chips were absolutely delicious - but only the first time, lol!

There’s one in Sarasota and one in palmetto just north. We go there about 2-3 times a week and it’s an amazing place!

In recent videos both in fast food and in grocery, that you mentioned bread with dough conditioners and enriched flour. I don't recall using either ingredient in cullinary school, that when I learned to bake fresh baked goods.
I rarely eat fast foods but there are times when I do. Would love to see Burger King and Subway as they are the 2 I usually go to on rare occasions. Thanks for giving us healthier choices we don't have to feel to guilty ingesting.

I just turned 70 in September & even though I don't eat as much as I use to, there are 2 things or maybe a couple more things I won't give up because I've never had a problem with them.
I love breads good wheat breads,
I love potatoes especially baked stuffed potatoes w/the works lol
I also love pork but in moderation, except if it's BBQ.
Ice Cream is a must lol.
I love fried chicken.
I love salad's w/Roughfort Dressing & french fries w/Roughfort Dressing instead of catsup.
I don't eat as many sweets as I used to when I was young.
I love fruits & veggies, especially dark berries, dried cranberries, fresh & dried cherries, dates etc.
Watching your Wendy's video made me crave Wendy's, I haven't had Wendy's or In & Out for years.

You’re correct..the salad comes undressed. The dressing comes in a packet that you add but I agree you don’t really need the dressing. It’s pretty good 😋

Wendy's chili is excellent imo. For a fast food place I think it's great. I also like their burgers. Their spicy chicken sandwich is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, sometimes too dried out.
Wendy's actually gives you a real burger, not like McDonald's.
Tastes great too, like real food.
I never feel good after a McDonald's meal, even if I enjoyed it.

Short answer...yes! I am totally biased after working for Wendy's in college. Side note there is a junior frosty, lol. Love their salads! You put your own dressing on it. (It comes in a packet.) Spinach on the grilled chicken must be new or not in my market. You TOTALLY enjoy these! :D

They have a ton of sugar. A better bet is Jamba Juice smoothies.
I might recommend sitting with a wall behind Bobby so that people aren’t unknowingly in the background of your videos. Or possibly blur the background in editing before posting.
