    I have a few questions.
    1. Why do you need so much rice for only a couple of tablespoons of water?
    2. What do you do with the rice that was soaked?
    3. As someone else has asked- was the soy milk cold or warm?
    4. Isn’t it convenient to make the yogurt in a tub rather than a bottle ?( because it’s so thick).
It will be nice if you could reply.
    Thanks. 🙏🏼

    • @violetxoxox
      @violetxoxox Před 5 lety +85

      Since this has no replies:
      1. To create enough probiotic bacteria (or whatever) to work well with that amount of soy milk. If there were less rice, you’d probably have to add a lot more of the soaking water, and water doesn’t turn into yogurt, milk does, so you don’t want to be adding a lot, otherwise you’ll just end up with soured milky water.
      2. You cook it and use it for something else (dinner, make rice milk, rice pudding, etc.).
      3. The soy milk would be room temperature.
      4. For us, yes, but for the purpose of making a video, a carafe is prettier and the taller narrower glass allows us to see the transformation and consistency we should expect better than a wider, shallower container would.

    • @anonymouse1124

      このヨーグルトは科学的に言うと発酵ではなく腐敗です。玄米や空気中には乳酸菌もいますがそれ以外の菌も多数存在しますから、その中で乳酸菌が大繁殖して他の菌に勝つためには条件が揃ってないと無理です。殺菌もしてない瓶に豆乳をいれて放置してもおなじように固まります。それを玄米の菌、乳酸菌も雑菌も含めて添加して菌の量を増やしているだけに過ぎません。

    健康に氣を使うようになって、玄米豆乳ヨーグルトに興味がありました。発芽玄米はいつも炊いて食べているので、昨日ちょうど浸水させていた玄米の水で、早速作ってみてましたが、今朝みたら大成功でした。味も豆腐感はなくほぼヨーグルトでした。
    瓶底に溜まっているホエイを大事に使って、今後も作っていきます。
    一応、500ml入る瓶で作ったのですが、瓶は煮沸消毒はしました。

Wonder if I could strain the yogurt in a cheese cloth and make soy cream cheese?

kime powell if you season it well it may work well! great idea! perhaps better than the yogurt.

    •  Před 7 lety +2

could be interesting to freeze this yogurt before strain in the cloth to produce a separation of the water and the mass.

it is super easy to make vegan cream cheese. Put soy yoghurt into a coffee filter, so it will lose water. Just heat some vegan butter then (around 1/4 cup, depends on the brand you use. sometimes more sometimes less) and put it into the yoghurt. Let it sit for an hour. Thats it. Works every time.

thank you!

My question is: Can I use the water from sprouted quinoa, or sprouted seeds like sunflower or pumpkin seeds?
