In this video, I talk about some of my favourite proxy and alternative models for Chaos Space Marines in Warhammer 40k. I talk about why these model designs have impressed me, and why many players might feel tempted to use alternative models in their games of Warhammer 40k.

If gw doesn't update their models, they shouldn't be surprised that people will go elsewhere

... i have to say i like your style of your speaking and the fact you go into asthetics and how it describes the character of sculpts too. describing how the mindset of model might be.

Love it🎉 this is more Blachitsu than current GW. I collect also Admech but the new sniper on stilts is a joke. Looking to getting in to 3d printing a proxy.

I`m was waiting for 20 years for new modells for Aspect Warriors and Phoenix Lords. Couldn`t care less for GWs inability so i bought elsewhere.

Either evolve, or pass into obscurity. I was with Warhammer and table top gaming since the beginning of the hobby. I have aboriginal rouge trader book somewhere, possibly my grandmother’s lol. I 3d print most of my models these days, and save tons of cash. If GW ants to keep it’s fan base , then it needs to lower there prices. I bough 12 minis from ravaged stars for 30 dollars. You can’t find those prices at GWs store. Not even close.

Despite GW propaganda, our hobby is wargaming, and Warhammer is just one game (albeit a large one) in that genre. I don't this anything bothers me more than seeing people refer to Warhammer as "the hobby", since it's not. The hobby encompasses wargaming as a whole. If you only play Warhammer, you aren't a wargamer, you're a Warhammer player.

But anyway, personally I feel a lot of the models have gotten just too goofy/over the top lately. There was a charm and aesthetic in the old kits, whether they be the old Tactical kit, or the old CSM kit, or bikers, or whatever, that's been lost with this over the top cartoony action pose crap.
That bike is just to much imo.
They do it to themselves, they could have over a dozen full sets out a month, a new army every quarter for both 40k and AOS, but they instead choose to take an approach of scarcity similar to the diamond industry
Don’t get me wrong I love 40k, but I feel like GW has shot themselves in the foot repeatedly and kinda sucks generally
