The clipper is definitely worth trying in a bitter best yeast I've tried, second only to West Yorkshire. No way is a box of crunchy nut over a fiver these days, we're not big on cereal, Rice Krispies and Cheerios usually but even then it's mostly for traybakes.

I’ve been trying to do the same as you, cutting the drinking back to mainly Saturday. Thinking I will need to cut batch sizes as the kegs stay full for a long time on the new schedule. Looking forward to the new videos. Oh and as a favor to you, I’ve not released any videos in a while so you have less to keep up on. You’re welcome!

@@RockonBeerBlog I have beer reviews on my pc from years ago that I've never deleted because I don't know if I've uploaded them as I have hundreds of videos on the channel at this point. Even today trying to free up space and I couldn't bring myself to delete them.

And the difference between a 5% and a 4.2% is actually quite a lot when it comes to a session. I read that a 5% beer is 25% more than a 4%. Take care and cheers for sharing 😎👍
Pitched the stout onto a yeast cake and it went off like a volcano. Literally as it exploded out the airlock and went everywhere inside the fridge 😂. Yeah I can see how alcohol can negatively affect people especially with anxiety and depression. It's a scary place.
Was worried you had retired so good to see you and good that you are having a re-set and making some changes. I'm off the booze for 3 months, thought I had a bit of man flu, turned out to be severe pneumonia and had a little hospital holiday so it's a re-set for me too atm with a fridge full of 0% beers and 6 kegs of homebrew in the shed I can't touch 😂
Oh no, how did the pneumonia come about or was it just random? Have to say, I'm quite impressed by the 0% Guinness but think it should be a bit cheaper, it's not like the ingredients cost as much as the normal beer
@@BigBananaBrewing it just felt like a virus like flu but got progressively worse over the course of a week and I couldn't get my temp down. Ended up being sent to A&E by GP's practice nurse and as soon as they did bloods and a chest x-ray they hauled me in. I agree the Guinness 0% is impressive but they are pricey, as are all the no and low beers. However, I've hit upon dry hopped diet lemonade for a shandy as the lagers and ales just don't have enough oomph. I tried some hopped water which gave me the idea so thought some nice fruity hops into lemonade at 2-3g per 2 litres might do something and it's actually really good. I've done a Sabro, Styrian Wolf and a Columbus lemonade so far so with that 5kg of Citra I've not oepened yet I reckon I'll die before I could use it all up in this way. One word of advice though, do not dry hop into a whole bottle of lemonade and then open it the next day because there's a 3 sec delay and then the whole lot comes out like a fucking rocket all over the place. It was like those videos you see of a sterident dropped into a bottle of coke and I couldn't get the top back on in time 😂 All over the kitchen!
Glad your doing okay, the stout is going to be dangerous, Fully understand about drinking less, I think I am now drinking maybe 4 pints a week and cant remember last time I had a hangover.... I have 3 small batch brews on the ferment at the moment, good luck with you work project.... I dont think I can get to the beer fest again this year, will look forward to your video on that.....
