You tryna set me up?! Classic line. This scene inspired me become a Black Belt in martial art's as a young man. Jim Kelly was my HERO!! Rest in Power Sensei Kelly.
I saw Jim Kelly at the Long Beach Internationals just after the movie Enter The Dragon was released. I was just a kid. Walked up to him, while he was watching the fights, asked him to sign his picture. He said "yeah" and signed it and wrote the word "Peace" above his name. I've been doing nothing watching clips of him on youtube since his passing.
@PowerZgamer Have you seen these Jim Kelly movies? Black Belt Jones, Tattoo Connection, Take A Hard Ride, Black Samurai, Golden Needles, Hot Potato, One Down Two To Go? Jim Kelly is a favorite of mine also. Be safe young man.
Loved Jim Kelly's form and style. Did anyone ever notice that when he first appears,he's wearing that very cool suit and matching boots but when he starts fighting with the cops,he's wearing raggedy tennis shoes? Can't believe they didn't think anyone would catch it!
The tennis shoes were the biggest catch in 1974. Bigger than life on screen. It was cold and windy that day and Jim kept slipping so they used the gym shoes.
Edward Jackson It just goes to show everyone the reality of black people working for White Supremacy organizations like KKK and White Aryan nation etc... and nobody is talking about it! People both black and white selling out on their own people!
Rip to the legend Jim Kelly, whom we lost 7 years ago! I tell you, Jim Brown, Fred Williamson & Jim Kelly, represented the last known era when black MEN were MEN! We need to bring this back fellas! 💯 I'd love to see a remake with Michael Jai White, Rampage Jackson & Jon Jones! Maybe, have Wesley Snipes be a mentor or side character! Similar to Richard Roundtree in the film "One Down, Two to Go!" 🤔 Side note: Jim sent that sell out brotha to the "sunken place" with that side kick! 🤣 #ThreeTheHardWay #Classic
I love the way the police cars randomly start appearing - they SOMEHOW know there's trouble and where it is, despite no radio calls going out from any of the officers 🤣🤣 The music and everything is just great in its own cheesy way. 'What's that on the floor there?!' *Hat blows off*🤣
It's a good thing the cops were all moving in slow motion so they couldn't gang up on him. Also I love the look on Keys' face when he closes the car door. You can tell from that look an ass-kicking is imminent.
One of my favorite scenes in movie history. "Gonna set ME up? OOOOyeee!!!" The Black Dragon. This was for the fools that came straight out of a comic book.
Any one else notice how white cops got slow motion exaggerated kicks and punches, the only black cop gets a devastating kick at 3;02, wow. That hurt. Like look at it, he gets fucking wrecked.
I wonder was this movie only enjoyed by the African-American community or was it also enjoyed by the white community during that era in the 70s because this movie this movie seem to criticize the racism among the white community towards the blacks, anyway I m Asian from an asian country :)
Bobby Chen I saw it in Los Angeles, in an inner city theater black audience. I saw it maybe twenty years later by Ucla at a revival that crowd was in a full theater the difference being at best there were ten blacks in the theater.
Right on Brother Man! Those Brothers that you mentioned made me feel good to be Black & Proud no question about that. The Media is forcing this crap on us to think this is the new thing in which in reality its misleading people big time. Sad but true.

This was a brother who didn’t need a knife or a gun, just his hands and feet! I love it!
Exactly. Jim Brown kept trying to have him use a gun in this movie too! 🤣
Say it again they created the gun because of what they feared us
@@kimberlykyles2838 Precisely, and they still do 'til this very day.
Jim Kelly can teach the younger generation to fight with there hands and throw away there guns
And this movie they can show the younger generation how to dress up decent and respectful in there clothes

Jim Kelly's afro was damn perfect. And he was rockin the leather thru the whole film, lol.
