I'm from Nepal and got the wild honey from the same eastern part of Nepal. I mostly felt like someone is pushing my face. It's a completely weird sensation. This reminds me of when I went to the Peruvian jungle (by myself) not planning on doing anything. And ended up doing Ayahuasca. I met a "shaman" (he didn't like to be called that but also didn't have another name) who does the ceremony. I definitely puked a lot, because it's supposed to clean your body first, then your mind. Very interesting experience, especially having heard all the horror stories before. But I trusted him, because he didn't do it commercially, but rather still saw it as a medicine and also stayed the whole night and prepared a flower bath in the morning. An experience I'll definitely remember.

      This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip: Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before."

    Absolutely astonishing video. As always great work!
    But one thing can't leave my mind about psychoactive substances. It's wild how some of us get blackout drunk and it's normal. While Yes theory do mad honey with the professionals in a responsible way it's depicted as hazardous, dangerous or bad. At least it had this vibe in a video. Although it's absolutely necessary to give warnings, because you don't want people play with these substances or even taking too much of adventure. But no one gives a warning when you drink poison (alcohol) in a party. We use meth and amphetamines for adhd, we use opiates for pain, we use benzodiazepines for anxiety disorders, literally drugs that affect psyche and addicts us, but we are fine with it.
    I'm all about responsible use. I don't even demonize alcohol or even prescription meth. But it's wild how hypocritical our society is where you have to overexplain why you do try hashish in Afghanistan or try honey in Nepal while some people high on legal amphetamines in work or school. Even if that honey can make you vomit or even kill you, alcohol can do it too.
    But in reality some psychoactive substances, psychedelics mainly, have benefits if used correctly and responsibly. But unfortunately they are unrightfully demonized.
    I don't condone drug use myself. But some people do it anyways. For those, make sure you know EVERYTHING about the substance. Read everything about it.
    Sorry if I rambled trough this rant.

      @Bill Shwifty good thing you werent there then, doesnt sound like you have any idea what you're talking about. This contains potent neurotoxins, not even phenethylamines or tryptamines like traditional psychedelics. These neurotoxins are inherently toxic to the brain.
      The toxins in this case belong to a group called Grayanotoxins, mostly Rhodotoxin from the Rhododendrons they feed on. In high enough concentration, Rhodotoxin and Andromedotoxin will cause full body paralysis and fatal breathing issues due to paralysis of the diaphragm.
      Mad honey isnt a substance that should be used for recreational purposes, I would hardly call it a psychedelic at all anymore than I would consider huffing Freon to be psychedelic.

    • @ownzies100
      @ownzies100 Před rokem

      @Bill Shwifty you sound nuts. So, with your vast knowledge of pharmacology, youd love to ingest a large amount of a neurotoxic substance when there is ridiculous amounts of 4/5 subbed tryptamines and phenethylamines you could choose from instead?
      Well, if you love neurotoxins, that explains this conversation and your attitude.
      Anyone with any level of higher education would never react like that to someone advising them on why a youtuber did not get fucked up on CZcams. I'd be extremely surprised if you ever find anyone specializing in pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacognosy etc that would tell someone they should be paying for them to dish out unsolicited harassment in the CZcams comment section. You're a joke Haha
      By the way, your CZcams comments are public and it's clear you know nothing notable about pharmacology in general.
