They took undertale's name, pokemon's look, omori's vibe, gave us ads that actually intrigued us, and still made a whole other game.
Undertale didn't invent the word tale in a name tho
@@ikagura that’s true but I feel like the name “Evertale” was heavily inspired in order to give off that vibe in their fake ads. Maybe making people associate the two subconsciously or something like that.

I want this version of Evertale badly. Specifically because it looks like a blatant Pokemon creepypasta. I don't know much about the real game, but it doesn't interest me at all after these ads got my imagination running.
Its sadly not the real game unless they redesigned the entire game in the year since i played

I also saw an altar in one of them. So someone summoned/woke/enraged this plot. And the commercials? You can continue to mind fuck as many was you would want because that would be marketing."

When your game is so uninteresting that you have to make fake ads that end up getting more views than the Downloads of your game.
I mean as much as I hate false advertising, ads getting more views than downloads is just kinda how ads work. You don’t know it exists until you’ve been advertised it 🤷♂️

@@styx2.068 it's a very big mix between very good and idiotic advertising. On one hand you got more people talking on the game, on the other it's very evident that people would prefer if the game is what the advertisements were like. Only people falling for this and getting the game without proper research are children and morons but apparently those are plentiful in the beautiful world of mobile gaming for this to continue for years

It should be noted those are not the same assets, they're not stolen. Some are made by people they commissioned, taking "inspiration" from other games, but most of them are made by artists around the internet. They basically pay these artists so they can use these assets in their ads.

@demoflowey Layout similarities could easily be attributed to pure coincidence. The black-and-white coloring was probably chosen to emulate 1st gen pokemon games + to make blood stains more visible.
These Evertale ads include a wide variety of jarring transitions (for horror effect) so some of them are bound to resemble similar transition effects used elsewhere.

What a coincidence and ad for Evertale was the ad that played before this video, which is also an ad for Evertale.
I finished Evertale offline storyline last year and it wasn't like that lol, I guess they're trying to catch children's attention since they all like weird games nowadays (exemple: FNAF, Baldi's Basic, Undertale, Omori and now FNF)
If the company is reading these comments I would gladly pay $0.99 for your game if this was actually it

I saw one of these ads and thought it was Pokemon so I watched it excitedly bc ive never seen a pokemon ad but then there was blood and it looked like Omori and my body took a screenshot. I wasn't sure what happened until my friend sent me this-

If this game wasn't an RPG and was instead actually like what the ads show. This could have potentially been a good horror game to play since it's based off the pokemon creepypastas. I'd definetly play it.

I was actually interested in an ad for once when I saw this and was super curious about the game. I'm really disappointed at the fact that the game is nothing like the ad. I'd love to play the game depicted in the ad. I hate it whenever the ads don't reflect the game and there's false advertising.

When I found out about this game, while watching the ad, I thought this was gonna be an awesome game, because a gorey Pokémon RPG game looked pretty interesting, and it could make way for a new concept that I have NEVER seen before in an official game (No, the Pokémon horror fangames DON’T count).
But when I actually PLAYED the game, I was EXTREMELY disappointed, because the actual game itself looked NOTHING like it did in the ads
