- An elephant comes to drink water near a resting lioness. When the lioness sees the elephant, it's too late to run, so she hides behind the well. All seems to go well, until the elephant notices her, gets a fright, and sprays her with water. 😂 Send in your wildlife video here, and earn money: www.latestsightings.com/partn...

I don't think I've ever seen a better example of just how expressive an elephant can be with its trunk...
Looks like a juvenile as well.

They do gesticulate with their trunks a lot. And with how smart elephants are, it's possible that it's part of a proto-language. Sure wouldn't surprise me.
Precision dipping. For sure.
i always thought lions roars were intimidating but WOW the elephants roar is like a dinosaur. such powerful creatures, we're lucky to walk amongst them

Yeah! Lion thinking 'maybe I can grab that trunk.' elephants like ' i see you thinking there. 👀'
Yeah, going by the size and his tusks, he can't be fully-grown yet. Also, he reaches for that water like a kid reaches for a cookie jar.
I love how the lioness tested the patience of that juvenile elephant to the limit.
Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19 He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
21 He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
24 He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

He looked satisfied with himself at the end, the fact that he managed to scare off a lion.
Lions can roar loudly, but even that's nothing compere to the sound an elephant makes.
They're not only big, but also intelligent. That makes them so powerful.
They should have put an audio warning because the elephant might have damaged my eardrums.
I don't think it's a fully grown elephant. Perhaps it'll start making the more familiar trumpeting sound then. This was amusing to watch, though. I think the lioness knew not to mess with an elephant.
Both animals are intelligent and powerful.

The most surprising thing to me is that they're both out there by themselves. Where's the pride and where's the herd?
Some lion king stuff lol
They’re the rebels in their pride and like to sneak off 😂
You know like how some of us teenagers were 😂😂😂
It's normal to see elephants distance from a herd for short periods of time, They are very much able to find their way back home using their superior senses, And lone lionesses are also not that abnormal.
They don't need a clan or herd, they're independent.
As someone who's fed an Elephant once at a zoo, they are truly an extraordinarily majestic animal.
I once stumbled upon the moment the elephants were given their evening bath. The handler gave the elephant a carrot for lifting its legs, so she could wash underneath, but as she was washing the foot (holding the foot with one hand and the hose in another), the elephant just stole all the carrots from her back pocket with his trunk :D

I love how the elephant notices the lioness, freezes, and then continues walking all casual-like. "Oh, don't mind me, just here for a drink, lovely weather we're having, innit?"
Es un gentleman
according to the description the elephant didn't notice the lioness until the last minutes when it scared it away. the whole time the lioness was trying to hide from the elephant
which isn't a surprise actually. lions, big cats in general, never attack elephants alone, they need to be in packs, otherwise it's a sacrifice, as a single elephant can completely crush a big cat
