It’s also crazy how many people are clueless. Id say 75% of the people I’ve watched, had no emotion whatsoever, and had no idea who the characters were, they don’t even know what E-Day is.

Always wanted to see E day and what led to Marcus being imprisoned. To me this is right up there with the hype that gears 3 brought before its launch. Time to stomp some grubs again!!

lol i felt ther same i cried the same way even went to the bathroom and finished off clear my face with water and still kept thinking how gears means so much for us i grew up to gears not only did i feel nostalgia but gears also brought me a girl and kids to the world..gears of war forever bro lets goo we back to the good old days

Insane how this is at least my 40th watch, and I STILL have a hard time holding back my tears.
Oh boy yet for those 40th or 100 revisit you cried I still sobbed seeing Dom I guess the pain of losing someone in a game hits home makes you think if that was your own brother God dam I swear the music makes it more emotional aswel basically two different versions of mad world
I had the same reaction, man. Especially, when I found out that a softer version of Mad World is playing through out the trailer. Brothers to the End 😢
That actually is the original lancer, the chainsaw lancer is the newer one(excluding gears 4 and 5).Considering this takes place during e day the retro lancer pr the lancer Mk1 was the standard AR for the COG and the chainsaw lancer wasn't a thing until a little while later. Also you notice how Marcus seemed to have genuine fear in his and his cream? that's because this was the first locust marcus ever encountered so his experience with literal monsters was fresh as ever, it was also his first locust kill.

I loved the original gears trilogy but never played 4 and 5. Are they any good? I’m stoked for E Day.
The stories are both pretty good, still got all of the remaining delta squad older showing up and the newer generation is decent but they know we are here for delta squad and ready for E day and a 1-3 collection
4 & 5 are a different take on Gears with new characters and new enemys. They're ok. But no where near the original Epic games Gears.

Its going to be rough watching Doms wife Maria get taken by locust and his sons dying.. and if they do a prequel to pendulum wars, seeing carlos death as well... i could only imagine the depression that will hit if they do those story lines.. seeing Marcus dad "Die" as well gunna hit hard.. maybe even Dad Carmine die as well

Adam nearly died during eday that's why marcus went to prison and didn't know that hks father was alive so in marcus mind during prison thar his father died when he realy was trapped under rubble and Prescot taken him to asura which he dies due to testing emulsion on himself and his own weapon killed him which was sad

I am not emotionally ready for gears E day it's gonna impact gears 2 and 3 even more when replaying them or remaster collection
If a game trailer made me cry then this game can take my money 💰 here take £100 for it lol that's for dom and making me bawl
E day happened 14 years before gears of war 1, there was only a handful of weeks between the pendulum wars ending and E day erupting worldwide, first time humanity saw the locusts and werent prepared, 25% of the worlds population died on E day, and neither marcus or Dom were close to the crazy killers they were in gears of war 1, they were used to fighting humans not locusts so even a low level locust was a serious threat
