Phagocytosis - Recognition and Removal of Microbes during Inflammation

When the body is inflamed due to microbes or other external agents, leukocytes migrate from the blood vessels to the site of infection through a process called chemotaxis. Once in the site of infection, leukocytes have to recognize the offending agents, in order to be activated to eliminate them.

This video is only about phagocytosis. Adhesion and diapedesis is explained in our video on inflammation. You could check our playlist for the inflammation video. And as far as the information(in the video) is concerned we try to be as comprehensive as possible . This video is mostly based off of Robbins.
