SO beer geeks! What's your favourite homegrown American beer style? Don't say IPA.
A hoppy brown ale, or coffee porter.
Early runs of Brooklyn Summer Ale 🤩👌🏼 faded somewhat of late 😕

American amber is fantastic and rewarding to brew too. Skirting the line of an IPA.
Aren’t all American beer styles derivative and yet different. Everything TreeHouse makes is fantastic, and Julius might be an IPA, it is just different…. In a fabulous way.
Can we just have the raw footage of Brad at the fest talking into the mic please? 😆
Epic 90 minute documentary of this in the works. Maybe.

Great to see VBC! Williamsburg represent!
Since I can’t have IPA, I’ll choose American stout - big, bold and bitter. Slaps you in the chops, kicks you in the behind and then loving puts you on the ground, all the better to watch the stars appear above and to contemplate the endless majesty of the universe. Plus it tastes good.
Glad to see Brad living the life at the beer fest - in his element with a microphone in hand. Love ‘n beer.
"I am, Johnny's Mate" loved that more than you did i bet... ha ha..
Man I’ve got mixed feelings, I admire and envy you guys.
Cheers
Virginia brew Co are great.. gorgeous citrus IPA in home bargain is 👌
Great video as always. I did enjoy seeing solo Brad in front of the camera for the tasting at the festival, it's always refreshing to mix things up a bit.
So basically American brewers are fueling your "What even is" series!
Doing us a service, as well as the brewing world.
Brad needs to make up his mind! White trousers and Camo t-shirt, is he trying to be seen or not??
Absolute rofls. This is being read out on the podcast for sure.
Y’all need to come to the Snallygaster beer fest in DC in October. Hundreds of the best US and many great global beers on tap.
DC Brau is such a good Brewery. Love their westies.
I was at the Southampton Arms pub in Kentish Town last month and was shocked, nay, gobsmacked to see DC Brau on tap!
As a DC resident, I think their beer is fine. If you want the best of the mid-Atlantic, check out The Veil and Hardywood Park in Richmond, VA and Sapwood Cellars in Columbia MD.
White trousers seem like a risky choice from Brad in a brewery 😅
He makes no concession where fashion is concerned.
Anchor Steam is dead! Long live Anchor Steam!!
Shameless plug to get my comment on The Bubble!!!! As an American (who lives in Virginia) that loves your channel, and the Virginia Beer Company, this video hits on all the levels. Can't wait for the next one! And a good American Lager is still king.
Love a shameless attempt, let's see if it works!
Great video like the old one's!! I can't wait to see the second one
We're going on a brewing streak again! Guess I am getting inspired again for some homebrews!
What an absolute joy!
But perhaps "Johnnys mate" should get a smaller tasting glass?
I saw an Urban Artifact sticker!
Love hearing all these rhotic Rs on this channel.
Virginia Beer Company is one of my go to breweries… wish they’d do a good cask ale!
I reckon it might be coming....they spend a lot of time over here!
Fantastic vid with some super interesting people with interesting ideas. You guys it goes without saying are as always super entertaining. Nice one cheers 👍🍻
Thanks so much!
Oh, that’s easy. 1A, baby! American Light Lager!
But for real, the NEIPA, but I’m talking certain versions from western Massachusetts or Vermont, IYKWIM.
And yet Brad has on a jacket, Shot out to Oklahoma.
Brad losing his natural reserve, and throwing caution to the wind, chancing as many beers as possible, one after another.
Great to see two iconic breweries from the 757 with VAbeerCO and Bold Mariner!
When I think American beer styles, I think of corn syrup, corn juice, and all other manner of inappropriate ingredients. --Wisconsinite
Well hopefully this changed your mind a bit. Except on the cream ale.... but it was all flaked maize.
That’s why I love Narragansett, one of the few cheap beers that uses flaked corn instead
Unfortunately, anchor brewing, the inventors of cal common went out of business after 128 years of business.
Which is why we were delighted to have a steam beer in this video! A small note though - it didn't go out of business, it was shuttered by its parent company, Kirin.
I never got into the whole queer beer thing.just give me a miller light and I'm good.
Interestingly, miller light was once the odd beer
