    I am 72 old pensioner AND This vid has got me started using CSP.
    Thank you VERY much.
    It Answered All the questions I had in setting the interface up. LOL ... I was struggling somewhat.
    Now I want to learn a bit more about different types of 'Brushes" and I am off and running.
    Very good video - clear and to the point.
    Thanks again. Cheers ... Bart

    You can save the layout by going to the Window menu option then Workspace > Register Workspace and give it a name. It will appear then under the Window Option for workspaces. This way you can have a drawing workspace, painting workspace, animation workspace etc etc. each loaded with only the tools you need for that type of work.

      Brilliant! Thank you for the great tip. I was deleting stuff and like, "but what if I decide to try animation? ...ehhh I'm sure I can restore the defaults later." This is such a cool function.

    Appreciate this video! One of my biggest struggles when installing any art program is setting up the interface and familiarizing myself with everything.
    I get overwhelmed with all the features and just go back to traditional drawing.
    Edit: Irrelevant but I wish the iPad version wasn’t a monthly subscription. Even though I already purchased the desktop version, I wouldn’t mind purchasing a full priced one-time-buy version on iPad.

    In photoshop 2020 you can erase with the same brush by pressing holding ”~ ” key (tilde key). Releasing it will switch back to paint brush. Just in case someone looking for this option in photoshop.

    • @mppa3284
      @mppa3284 Před 4 lety +4

      Additionally if you want to use your brush as eraser for bit longer and feel pressing that tilde key awkward then you can do the following
      1. Press tilde key
      2. Without let go tilde press shift
      3. Holding shift you can release tilde
      4. Last Release shift.
      Now you can erase without holding Any keys.
      To switch to brush again press tilde key once and let go.

    So for customize your brush tools you first have to customize each icon for each brush, in order to the brush panel sub tool (the panel with all your brushes) appears with your custom items?
    The brush icons make me crazy sometimes. Neve know when I'm clickin at the one I want. So that's why I think its useful to change its icons.

    Excellent TUT! And a big "Thanks!" for painting with the app and not just doing line-art/cartoons. I like people to see you can also use CSP for the kind of art usually associated with Photoshop. (VERY nice illustrations!) A couple other brush-sizing tricks: A) Use the bracket keys, or B) Hold Ctrl & Alt while pressing with cursor and move your hand left or right to resize. This latter combo is how Painter and SAI work, btw.

      4 months late, so maybe no point. But the reason is because you don't have the latest version of clip studio. It's very unintuitive, but you have to go to the website and reinstall the launcher, and the launcher will act as an updater.

    I got a question.
    I recently installed Clip studio art EX and I'm testing it out but when I draw a circle or a make a line, it acts wonky.
    The line gets wobbly and the circle motion starts first straight instead of how it should behave like a normal pencil.
    Is there a way I can fix this or is this something about my monitor or computer
    Context abt the monitor;
    It's a Huion Kamvas 20, a sorta old models to the Huion most recent models and when I used it with my old drawing app (Medibang paint and Jump Paint) it acted very destructive towards it. When I went to use it on the whiteboard app in my laptop, it behaved just fine.
    Context abt the computer;
    My computer is a 4G HP Laptop, got it as an emergency one because my Chromebook died on me (moss is starting to grow on the keyboard, probs explaining why it died :// )
    I wanted to buy a better computer but I'm currently in a low budget due to working just to pay my bills, so I had to get this one (will probs keep it as a personal one instead of a drawing laptop)
    Can anyone help me or link in a video that can help me get back on track? Drawing is my passion and I wanna be able to make a future for myself with it (maybe even go college once this is over) it just frustrates me that when I try to look for ways to clear away my problems it only adds more to it.
    Would appreciate any advice.
