Another thing you can do to check values is: make a layer above all your layers, fill it with white and then set the blending mode to "color" and it will give you a grayscale picture. This way you can turn it of and on when you want to check.
What! I never knew this, this is kinda awesome :)
Yeah I was going to say the same thing... I know that in PS is (I think) color or white balance... I just know I saw it the other day in a tutorial! LOL!!!
Much Obliged.
Clever idea.
Bro I can't thank you enough, this is just what I needed... I'm still trying to figure out all the basics but you really just made that task 1000× easier, thank you!
this was amazing, thanks man. this is my first time drawing on a computer and using clipstudio. already learned so much
Thank you. You taught me coloring, sharing and highlight all in one video. Very easy to understand. I hope to learn more from you!
Holy smokes this was super helpful, I’ve been struggling with the basics since I’m completely new to digital art and this is super helpful! What’s great is that I feel that I can build upon this with the other tutorials out there that are more advanced/in-depth.
I love learning about new stuff
The best and easiest beginner video. I like the soothing music, your recording style, your voice and the way you show everything. THANK YOU!
This was really fun to follow along. Nice drawing with you.
I just started digital drawing, so this is very helpful for me, thanks!
Bro, I just purchased clip studio, and I've been looking for a video like this! Thanks a lot for the gems!
Great break down over the digital drawing process :)

Thank you! Learned so much. 🐴
This is the best tutorial I have seen!! Thank you❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve been doing digital art for almost a year and always doubted if I was doing this right. I watched multiple people explain their digital art process and yours is the only one that has broken it down perfectly for me. Thank you again for this, this really helped me.
New Subscriber!!
Thank you for showing and explaining how to use so many different things on CSP EX.
😄👍
I was having trouble with layers but I'm gradually learning this and how to use other things on CSP EX.
I felt super bummed out when I got my first display tablet cause it felt so overwhelming... So glad you made this video, I'm halfway through it and I can't wait to go home and start drawing :D
I have never seen such an amazing beginners guide, tsym bro
Yo Thanks so much you actually help in so many ways thanks Sebastian.

Great video, very informative; thank you!
Thank you! This helped alot!
Thank you. This helped a lot with the result. (Now i understand the importance of lighting)
Absolutely loved this video
Very helpful. Thanks!
The character you drew reminds me of Deemo from the rhythm game "Deemo". I had a friend who really liked it and I immediately could recognize the similarity. Great video on CSP and ciao.
Perfect ! Thank you 😀
Bro, your setup is NICE!!!!
My new favorite
really good video, thanks a lot !
The lighting is always so good. Also the clothes..... I really need to learn clothes lol
Thank you, this was very helpful. I'm just trying to include digital art with my traditional art forms, pencil ink etc.
Great tutorial!
Tysm

As a noob to Digital this was really helpful thank you so much.
Niceone thanks fellah!
Thanks I really appreciate it
Ayy, didn't comment sooner, but I'm here now. Recently bought CSP, and I was looking for some tutorials! I remember watching your old opentoonz videos, and I'm really glad you made some easy to understand CSP videos as well! You always keep the necessary information and keep me engaged in your tutorials. Just wanted to thank you for that, you're doing a great job in your newer videos as well!
excellent video..i just purchased a Huion Kamvas 13 for my 11 year old daughter..she loves Anime and has wanted 1 for ages...thank you so much for making it easier for both of us :--)...shall be checking out more of your vids !!!!
Hey Sebastien I like you dude Thanks for helping us
Very helpful video 💯
Awesome video! This really showed how to use clip studio paint right. But one thing, I would have liked to see the layers whole time you were drawing. I mean the drawing tablet camera was tiny bit of in the way but thats ok! Also could you make a video about animating on clip studio paint?
Very charming astetic with the pigs and mustached apple
thank you
Looks nice)
This is very helpful. I've been using scanned ink line drawings and Photoshop 6 to do digital coloring in one layer and saving art on JPEG. Now I have chromebook flip top where I can use a pen to draw on screen and subsribed to Clip Studio Paint to try. It really helped seeing how the layers work and what is the "magic lasso" and "paint bucket" method on CSP. I need to rewatch this tutorial more to get use to working in this. I still prefer working with real markers and pens but when I order art prints and products like stickers and buttons for cons I think digital art will look more polished . Thank you from Hawaii!
Like your videos so much ❤️🔥
sick
Thanks
Thanks bro
I learned a Lot thank u very nice I like on 6.9K
Tôi thích cách bạn truyền tải nó đơn giản và rất dễ hiểu 🥰
Can you do a tutorial how to set up and use a XP-Pen I have one since 2019 and haven't used it. Thanks
I have a sketch pad and I’ve decided to only get a drawing tablet when I confident enough in my drawing skills.
Hi there. I just downloaded clip paint yesterday. It's very confusing not knowing anything. I've been watching videos on CZcams, and what people are trying to get across is very fast and hard to keep up with. I've just watched this and the way you narrated is so different to the others. I've saved the video because I think I was able to understand this so much more easily. Great work on your part. I've subbed to your channel just now so I've not seen your other videos. I'm hoping that I can learn a lot from your content. 😊
What size screen is it ?
What are you drawing on ?
??
How do you know what color to pick on the multiply layer when making shadows?
Can you show how to do a slow motion effect in Opentoonz & Clip Studio Paint?
Grew up without internet or money.. had a very small library in a very small town and had no resources so I just thought I couldn't draw and didn't feel like drawing a bunch of ugly looking garbage so I just didn't. I didn't start taking art seriously until 2019 and I've come a long way since then!! I'm pretty damn good now. Thanks to countless tutorials, classes, and books.
That hook tho.
Hi, thanks for the tutorial... i forgot all, i stopped drawing after my mom died 1 year ago and now i restart slowly but as i said, i forgot everting. i wanna learn to draw manga, i love them a lot. Is the Huion Camvas 13 pro a good choice for beginning?
i'm curious how you have your buttons on your pen configured, having a hard time figuring out the best way to map those and the bottons on the side of my tablet.
WAIT IM NOT TRIPPING DID THE LIKE BUTTON ACTUALLY LIGHT UP FOR ANYONE ELSE??? DAT WAS SO COOL BRUH 0:56
There's another Flip Horizontal button on the Navigator window (upper right on his setup).
Will you do logo’s for anyone?
what’s the name of the macropad you’re using
Drawing tutorial please
How do you get your lines so straight??
What is your drawing on ?
when making animation how do i color under the drawing layer does it work as you showed in the video because i tried it but it didn't work. I even tried to turn on onion skin but ended up coloring in the wrong layer that i draged down between sketch and drawing layer so how do i color when i am making animation? Could u make a video or answer me in the comment below.
Yo I got a tour box too!
Does anybody have any tips for inking I'm really new to digital art and want to know any tip I can get
What are your workstation or view settings here? I've seen a lot of webtoon artists using settings that allow them to see previews of what they're doing-or like you have additional drop downs on the righthand side that lets you add new layers, etc...I'm having a hard time getting a user-friendly/intuitive setup for the tools and it's getting frustrating.
using windows accessibility to swap between colored and gray scale was 200 iq
Can you do procreate?
So i need the pc version, right?
I always draw with my finger is that ok? but this seems easy!
Is there any trick to the lineart, mine always looks so scuffed, when filling it gets thinner and thinner and because of pressure some zoned look more polished than other, was thinking that maybe i should lineart on a vector layer with a fixed pressure and then reduce or augment the lineart as i see.
There should be some other sources on line art tips. For example, I know BaM Animation made a video on that. Of course, these things don't get learned overnight, so just try to stick with it. Hope that helps!
I'm a beginner here and need some help. Evereytime I try to draw something the canvas moves with it. So frustrating. I cant do anything. lol! Help!
Yes this is what i need but the problem is i dont have money to buy this things welp im stuck with pencil and paper then
15:41 saving for later :0
3 times did not start, but then it worked
when I press ctrol + z, it dont work to undo. Someoenhelp ?
Does anyone have a link to the discord server?
I’m an artist too
i love but i don t have a drawing pad
can some one tell me how hes pen follows the actual pen he uses. my is just round:(
would you recommend this over krita? i’ve been trying to decide if i should switch to csp
I just switched from Krita to CSP. I loved Krita, but it just crashed too often. CSP is reasonably intuitive, and I'm very happy I made the move. I keep Krita around (it's free), but I suspect that before long I will basically never use it any more.
@@chaosordeal294your Pc sucks than.
BRO WHEN I CLICKED THE VIDEO I GOT AN CLIP STUDIO PAINT AD😂😂
Same
Bro 50k best Animation laptop tell me.....
it seems that my clip studio tools are different from yours :(
Watching this even if I don’t csp.
don’t have* I can’t edit for some reaso
deemo?
Big fact: the phone he saying is mean android not iOS because many of those pen doesn’t support iOS only after it that just start support a bit but the older version is only work on android
But may i ask would you reccomend have like a tablet instead of the professional equipment (etc. Ipad, Samsung, ...)?
You should make a discord server, it would be amazing
There used to be one but it got deleted
@@icantexistence Why?
You forgot to mention that you need an ideal powerful PC that can run the program without lagging.
Not true. Obviously it won't run on an ancient piece of garbage, but it runs on my seven-year-old PC perfectly well.
1st you have to get subscription
