About twelve years ago I bought a Triton 3-1/4 Hp router to replace the non-functioning 3-1/4 Hp router I inherited when my father passed away. I haven't used it every day, but it was used just about as much as my table saw. About three years ago the vertical adjustment stopped working smoothly and I had to disassemble it and found all it needed was some sawdust removal. So I've been very satisfied with mine, too. It was the least expensive router of that horsepower on the market (excluding Harbor Freight and some other Chinese brands) at that time. It has been worth the money.
I bought this router a couple of years ago - specifically to make a router table. It is brilliant. If I could afford to do it and didn't already have another router, I would have a second one for using without the router table. Some very nice design features, and a good all-round router.
I have had this router for 2 years and it has had to go to the shop for repair twice. I like the lift mechanism but they should have added a way to lock it from the top of the router table. You have to reach under and feel for the locking lever.
Triton routers are solid routers period, I use Makita and the older sears models routers, have used a friends Triton, gives my Makita's a solid run. My first introduction to Triton was watching a few videos from Sommerfelds, liked what I saw in his videos. My next router purchase will be a Triton. Great video, cheers :)
I had my eyes on this router for some time, it is unfortunate that i hear some negative feedback about technical problems. On the flip side i had very good experience with triton support, when my jointer fence warped they sent me a replacement no questions asked. I really like the height adjustment you get from the underside, super convinient when you need to quickly attach/detatch to/from the table.
Having seen their Triton 2000 workcentre, it's obvious there are some great minds at Triton.
Have they fixed the problem with the base being warped?

sounds like it was under power or your pulling is faster than it can bite!
I was running it at a low RPM and I tend to be a bit aggressive with it.
i dont have a triton, but i hear often thats not a great router. and a lot of burnd motors. but nice video
I can’t speak to other experiences but I’ve been working the heck out of mine with no issues.
I want it but I swear if I buy ANOTHER router my wife is gonna have questions. Lll
You know what they say… It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission! Lol
Buy a Bosch and do not buy a Triton- junk.
