"By what seemed to be a team of monks".
That is an underrated lore building line. That is bizarre. I love it.
It makes me imagine that the Hazers are from some kind of Marbleverse equivalent of Tibet
@@Larszard those would be team momo, if you go by the established lore
The sightings of ghost marbles around the track is equally intriguing...
Hopefully we see the monks on Sunday
I’m pretty sure the both the gazers and team momo are from somewhere in China. So it’s plausible or even likely that the Hazers are from the Himalayas
Hopefully all the marbles can stay safe this race because there was many DNFS in the last race at Misty Mountain!
Still got dnf this time, and on the same turn as last time 🙃
@@nguyentienat2739 Mocha actually got stuck just past the helices.
Hazers need to fix this track immediately lmao it sucks for the marbles
@@bababababababa6124 I like to think they keep it that way just to challenge them even further.
Go Hazy!
Did anyone notice that Clutter got so much speed in the first qualifier that he jumped over part of the helices? The teams would do well to imitate this strategy.
Chaos insues
Well, Orangin tried to do the same, and it did not help...
Now that you mention it, yes.
and what really helped him is exiting in a left curve from the last helix, resulting in being shot right into the next curve
Track limits?
That helix is just brutal, race day will be wild
The time split from coming out on the right hand side (moving into the helix) versus the left side (moving away from it) is absolutely outrageous.
That's what i thought the moment a first saw it.
The spacetime distortions in the Hazers' otherworldly homeland continue...
Starry has been other-wordly, feels good to see as a long time Team Galactic fan.
Starry always delivers, Cosmo's got to pick it up if we wanna have any chance of winning anything
Wasn’t it Pulsar who used to race in M1 along with Starry?
It'll be really interesting to see how these helices go with more than one marble at a time!
Yeah that's just what I was thinking too
We've seen what happened to Mocha. Could be dangerous to arrive there being behind in a group.
Just bought me and my wife our respective team jerseys a few days ago. Her- Team Galactic
Him- Savage Speeders
We shall see who's who on race day...
do you call her Starry, now? :D
Check out the insane strategy that Clutter from BoC pulled off at 6:08!
The optimal path in the helices is a bit tricky to sus out; the turn before it makes it easiest to enter on the right side with speed, but entering through the left side ensures that the exit angle is optimal for the next turn.
Clutter entered the right side to avoid awkwardly braking to get to the left, but JUMPED THE BARRIER to make it over to the best path for exiting! Their coach, who would've only been able to study the track a short time with how secretive the Hazy Monks have been about it, must have recognized that those helices would be one of the biggest setbacks this course has to offer, and flawlessly came up with a strategy to beat it! I don't know how viable it is to perform it in a real race, but Clutter went for it and pulled it off beautifully!
That was a spectacular performance from Clutter. Especially the way he entered the helix was genius! #LetChaosReign
#LetChaosReign !!!
"Welcome to Starbucks."
"Hi, yeah, can I get a Venti Stranded Mocha?"
Always amazed by the turnout on Misty Mountain. As a Hazers fan I've thought about going to a couple races but that mountain is no joke. Mad respect to those who make the trek
The helix is perfectly implemented. If you take it correctly you get the apex of the next turn perfectly right, if you take it the wrong way you will be very slow at the next corner. Love it.
I'm conflicted because I love these events, and watching them makes me happy, but also I'm a green duck supporter, and watching these events makes me sad. 😄😩😄😩😄😩
Starry really brought it for qualifiers! Let's carry that energy to the main event! #ReachForTheStars
I am continuously impressed by Team Momo's performance. They really try! Also great job by Clutter this time. 👍👆
Overconfidence is their biggest downfall (and sharp turns). Hopefully Momo remembers this and applies himself to the race Sunday, instead of getting complacent with his ranking this time.
If Q2 is anything to go by, the helices will cause at least 1 DNF tomorrow.
If a marble gets stuck then another one might free them, though I can see several being lapped tomorrow.
Yeah Starry!
I like how this is expanding the Marble Universe and each team’s hometown, expressed in special arenas and locations (like Misty Mountain for the Hazers and the special Crazy Cats’ Eyes arena and its cat/pitman theme)
*Egyptian, this a typo lol
Greg Woods is the man. Thank you Jelle and crew!!
Nice home performance by Hazy.
Lets get them on Sunday, Wisps. #willofthewisps
The comeback is real! A win followed up by placing is just what the Hazers needed to get their mojo back
It may just be the graphics, but the timing on some of the finishes seemed off. 3:45 you can watch Mallard cross the line and then the time doesn't stop for another half second after that. Whereas later in the qualifying, for example Hazy at 6:00, the time is stopping exactly as the marble crosses the finish line. Maybe the times are accurate and the graphics were off, but it was really noticeable with Mallard.
Hazy you’re up front just focus on what needs to happen and lets hope for a solid race
"We were led up the mountain by what seemed to be a team of monks"...
Talk about lore
That helix is going to play havoc when they have all 20 marbles rolling in at once. I’m predicting at least one marble is going to get thrown clear off the track.
As always, I’m blown away by the quality and creativity of these videos. Go Galactic!
Clutter just leaped over the helices like they were nothing! What althleticism! Balls of Chaos this is your moment!
Starry continues to show why they carry team galatic. Awesome qual, can't wait for the race!
- Misty Mountain
- Cerulean and Momo both high in the standings
- A DNF
*flashbacks intensity*
Also holy hell Starry is absolutely insane this season, hopefully Cosmo gets better too
And is it just me or did the Ducks' time keep going for like half a second after they finished? And then it also happened to Starry but it was shifted back by about 0,500
Yes, Mallard got added around 0,5 sec to his time, which was odd
This is 3rd time now. If you watch replays of qual's on the first two GP the ducks are not running bad in comparison to other teams then all of a sudden 17th? 14th? and now 16th again. I bet someone in the JMR team hates the Ducks. That is why they are recruiting "trusted" people to join their team.
@@slimysand I highly doubt that. The JMA takes the sport seriously. It may well be a miscalculation on their part but the position given is appropriate.
@@janrupertalfeche8959 not really sometimes they made very baaaad decisions
An okay performance from Rapidly. He really struggled to build speed through the first sector, but his navigation of the helices is just so clean--I'd argue the cleanest and most consistent of anyone in the field! If he can figure out that first sector we'll be golden
#SpeedIsKey
4:04 Roldo is hiding under the finish line.
Me before the event goes lives: “Let’s go O’Rangers, Thunderbolts, and Balls of Chaos!!!”
Me after the event goes live:
more like O’Inconsistent team
Thunderbolts got me dead
A disaster of a performance for us Thunderbolts fans, not the lead we wanted but we can always come back…….right?
@@brserk2244 of course. They always do
I love the Misty Mountain events! The whole vibe is great.
Jelle, we love your marble runs God bless.... Keep doing the good work mate💪
I just want to say how fantastic your videos are! My youngest child has additional needs and is medically complex. He LOVES your content so much! He is only 6 but functions developmentally at a younger age. Thank you for creating such brilliant videos.
I think my Green ducks team needs a radical change in summer😅🦆🦆🦆
Wuspy-- let's improve on that P18 on Sunday!
God, I hope so. I love the Wisps, but Wuspy's runs have been pretty disappointing so far. :-(
Obstacles in the track design. A save way to eliminate CCE in Q1...
i prefer the old three stage qualifying system.
@@SamSitar same have to say
O'Rangers too.
@@RushFan-2112 ouch...
Why do I get the feeling Starry's going to try to do the "On your left" strategy against Clutter on Sunday?
I look forward to it, the two seem to be enjoying a friendly rivalry this season
@@KCSutherland We'll see what happens on Sunday then
Track in the forest, with a large ramp coming off sector 1

Jelle, your dedication to your craft is just mind-blowing. You're delivering not only high-quality marble races, but you have built a whole universe around it. The mist on Misty Mountains, the monk bringing them up... It's just chef's kiss, perfection! :)
Good to see Starry out again, almost never disappoints.
Let's hope Starry can prove itself again in the race.
#TeamGalactic
I loved this race last year. Hopefully this'll be an exciting race with lots of meme potential!
Eagerly awaiting my MoMo jersey!! Good luck marbles and stay safe! Those helices look tricky.
They're made of really good quality, I have one for Minty Maniacs. Hope you enjoy yours!
Great atmosphere with the slight fog - barely visible but still sets the tone for what was (and hopefully will be again!) a very dramatic race! The Green Ducks are really off form this season - I've made charts on how well everyone qualified and finished in S1+2 (thinking about it now, I'll have to start up again!) and the Green Ducks only qualified outside the top 10 on 5 occaisions (with a possibility of 20 outings for the team), which shows real consistency.
I think the helices are a great addition to stratify the marbles in what should be a great race! #HazeAmaze
HAZE AMAZE! This is OUR year
Very dominant from BoC. Let’s keep it going!
Those helices are going to be tricky and chaotic for these marbles. Can't wait to see what happens there.
this actually put me in a panic that Formula 1 was this weekend and I forgot, but its next week, whew...
Great video as always, JMR! Love the new Misty Mountain track!
6:09 That was actually quite clever from Clutter,. By jumping over the red boundary on the right, he could align himself so that he'd finish the zig-zag with a left-handed turn, resulting in a much smaller speed loss in the following u-turn.
Clutter really seems to have a solid strategy of dealing with the helices. I wonder if they'll be able to maintain it without falling over the edge.
The fog effect! Brilliant!
Please don’t ever stop you’re the main reason why I’m getting through school. Also my friend group and I have a fantasy league 😭
Oh man, that was fun.
A whole race with those curves!!!🤩
this race is big, hazy. let's get it done.
yeaaaa, hazers for the WIN
Outstanding pole run there (shan't spoil it). We can definitely see who's a clear favourite going into this tricky race! Good luck to all marbles, and stay safe!
What a race, & it's just the qualifier! I am loving that we're seeing different teams doing well - it shows real parity in the sport. Good luck to everyone on Sunday: may the best marble win!
Way to go Team Momo! Really qualifying well this year. Love to see it #MomoStrong
Really happy with my boy starry. I think we are going to get some good points on Sudanday
What does a green and a orange sector mean?
It's clear, that a purple sector means "fastest overall".
I kept on thinking that green means faster than your personal best and orange worse than it. But they've not set a time on this track before, right. So on which times are they related to?
Purple: fastest out of anyone so far.
Green: faster than the marble in pole position, but not the fastest out of everyone.
Orange: not as fast as the marble in pole position.
Huge opportunity for Hazers, with the rivals all behind
Good luck to all the teams!
Oh man, I remember my time as a Misty Mountain Monk.
Really gave me a new perspective on life.
At the elice the way the marble take the exit seems to be vital. Meaning coming off using the "lane" that steers towards left (which is the actual direction of the corner) retains much more speed and momentum
Proud of Cerulean's bounce back in qualifiers after a bad first week
Hello to Jelle and your amazing team! Whoa boy, it's been a moment since I checked back in here! Got a job, lost the job, got another job, and now with less stress, I'm happy to cheer on my one and only Minty Maniacs! Not watched the video yet, though...we have a not-so-hot track record when it comes to qualifying 😅
Edit: Go Minty Flav!! But poor Mocha 😢
Clutter with the advanced chaos strats of skipping most of the helices.
That's a great atmosphere at this venue yet again. And as the mist unfolded and gave way to new sightlines, that unfurled a completely revamped track. The circuit clearly has gotten more difficult to navigate for those marbles. So it's no surprise what happened in the Q2 race, not spoilering it. Also, from what we've seen here, the home team have done a great job with this track, turning it basically upside down. Also, it looks very much like Hermann Tilke was not involved in rebuilding this marble racing circuit, even though that new first few turns kind of remind me of the final few turns from his version of Fuji Speedway. But hey, there is another mountain reference!
Hopefully bolt can get some points in the race (it’s gonna be a rough one)
This is finally the year that Chaos will reign! What a performance today from Clutter!
🌪Let's go HAZERS🌪
It's gonna be so exciting!
Clutter loves Chaos
What an interesting track!
If this qualifier is any indication, Clutter is gonna be lapping people
Man, Orangin took a bad hit in the chicanes...that cost him those precious seconds.
YES CLUTTER THAT'S PEE-WAN, PEE-WAN.
Time to convert this pole into a race win #LetChaosReign #BallsOfChaos
Love ur vids
Just when you hope the thunderbolts will do something, they love to take a nosedive
starting to worry about speeders, hope they recover from all these not-so-good races. you are the best.
BoC!!! Staying at the top and in the hunt.
Poor Mocha, they finally got a chance to get to Q2 and they get stranded.
This is a great track. Didn't see a lot of the first section though.
Those double helices will make for an interesting race with a lot of position changes.
Also, can someone recommend a good mechanic for Mocha?
mechanic for Mocha?
@@PoffHistory Yes, if they were driving a racecar, they would definitely need some serious repairs.
@@AlphaPWNY True, Chocolatiers ain’t doing good in this Marbula One season
I don't think the mechanics are to blame for Mocha's sudden stop, though to be fair, the helices took a lot to get through. Savage Speeders weren't making it any easier either, leaving Mocha to stop near the apex to avoid a collision. Who knows how things will go during Race Day, let's hope they get things sorted by then!
*sigh*
All I'm saying is that Mocha looks like they've had an accident and need to make repairs before the race...
I'm guessing their (nonexistent) wheels might need replaced.
6:09 look at that, cutting straight across the helices
I remember the devastating hit that knocked out our darling clementine last year. Hoping for a good clean race this year
It's so sillily stoopid to do q sessions for this, and I'm here for all of it 🎉❤️🎉❤️
Sorry for not being able to watch live, but the orangers are gonna win this season I’m calling it
Let's go, Minty Flav, that's how it's done!
Predictions:
1. Hazers
2. Balls of Chaos
3. Green Ducks
CCE - “am I a joke to you”
I don't know, Midnight Wisps have been doing great lately and I think they've been training for this race all week.
@@bababababababa6124 I think CCE will make their move in the race but qualifiers they will hold back
@@TheCaptainRommy I’m a limers fan but without them here i’ve been supporting the Wisps so I hope they do well
@@bababababababa6124 I was right 😂
The entry to the helices made all the difference in Q1 today, could cause a proper mixup on Lap 1 as well
Oh heck yeah this is looking to be our season! #LetChaosReign
Nice to see my Big three in the top ten

Welp, Aryp you have done well, we'll see tomorrow race. The helix and the final turn section will be a giant killer.

#GoTeamGalactic
Good Luck to all Teams.
A special good luck to the O'rangers
That's right. We need it
Brutal helix, tough to make any passes, that stretch will be interesting.
I just noticed a problem with the green ducks qualifying time. The green ducks seemed to finish at around 21.3 seconds, but the timer keeps going until 21.8, which is said to be their final time. I'm not a green ducks fan, but in account for my mom who is a green ducks fan, please do something about this.
Theory: the Hazers are actually Ghost Marbles conjured from the great beyond and given physical form, and the monks who have to lead everyone up here are the ones responsible for conjuring them.
