      Cheers, I think my Audi leaked the same place as yours. Turned out to be the fuse box seal!

    I also found on my neighbours 52/03 plate where the boot joins by the rear window in the valley and the rear quarters join there’s a little gap in the join which we found also let’s water in so a little bit of gasket seal fixed that

      Yes mine leaked there also, another leak source to add to the list!

    I'll have to check my rover 75 mein Rover75 ist 1999 model with v6 177ps HP and has a lot of work already done to it, the only slight problem is that have is the rear suspension and I think is the rubber bush from the trailing arm

    I have a bad leak here too. Was it rain water getting in or road spray? Mine is clean rain water.

      It was clean rainwater coming in.

    Yes probably so but could still be possible to seal around the air duckt

    You don't really have to take the rear bumper off because if the part is accessible from inside

      The tabs to release it are on the outside though.

    So you did not seal the chrome thingys and did not seal the rear tail lights

      See other video for the rear light sealing. Chrome strips already sealed by a previous owner. Boot has been bone dry ever since.

      @@split_pin have you found tail light fix, chrome strip tightened and air ducts sealed has resolved the problem. Trying to sort my 75, used gorilla sealant on the tail light gaskets but still getting water in the boot. Hoping the chrome, air ducts sort it. Also going to buy some captain tolley boat sealant just for good measure. Any advice would be great!

      @@SensibleCarGuy I'm now getting a very small amount of water ingress into the offside boot area, I'll need to investigate where that's coming from.

    • @split_pin
      @split_pin  Před 3 lety

      Mine does have a sunroof and caused the previous owner a fair bit of grief. He had to replace all the carpets after repairing and modifying the sunroof drains to stop them blocking.
