I'm not American and I know very few about either of the candidates, but I found her speech quite strong and respectful. She insisted on her values, but without insulting or showing disrespect for the winning side. Her speech wasn't filled with self-pity, but with hopes for the future and thankfulness.

The thing is that no civilised country functions with indirect democracy. What's the reasoning behind an electoral college? It doesn't seem to encourage voter turnout. For instance, someone from California willing to vote for a Republican knows that his/her vote will not count because it's a reliably blue state.

She knows what to say when to say it, she has the ability to negotiate any situation, its just she hasn't done it many times in Americas favor. I find it strange how polarized this election seemed. If you said something bad about Trump, people automatically assumed you liked Hillary. Same for Hillary too. In reality, they are both not that great candidates. Even though I'm only in middle school, I feel as if I did more research on the candidates than my own parents. If there were ever created an EU United States of Europe then, unless it operated a similar U.S. voting system-style of electoral colleges, it would soon collapse because of bitter divisions and unrealistic expectations (even if the election nominees were decent enough people and providing that a U.S. of Europe was desirable).
