Hillary Diane Rodham was born in 1947, and grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. After graduating from Wellesley College, she entered Yale Law School where she met Bill Clinton. In 1974, at the height of the Watergate scandal, Clinton worked on the staff assisting the House Judiciary Committee with its investigation of the Nixon administration. She later joined Bill Clinton in Arkansas and they were married in 1975. She served on the faculty of the University of Arkansas Law School before joining the Rose Law firm in 1976. Bill and Hillary became parents with the birth of their daughter, Chelsea, in 1980. During her 12 years as First Lady of Arkansas, Clinton remained a strong advocate for the welfare of children and higher educational standards. When she became the nation’s First Lady, she chaired the Task Force on Health Care Reform. In 2000, Clinton was elected Senator from the state of New York and served through re-election in 2006. In 2007, Clinton began her campaign for President of the United States, losing to Barack Obama but ultimately serving in his cabinet as Secretary of State. She served for four years until running for the second time for president, becoming the first woman to accept a major party’s nomination for President. While she won the popular vote of the 2016 election, she failed to win the Electoral College and conceded the race to Donald J. Trump.

Her husband's infidelity & dishonesty about it were disturbing, but she handled it with grace & dignity, choosing to stay by his side as First Lady. Instead of being commended for that, there were some who saw it as a flaw. These are probably the same people who saw the behavior of the "First Family" we ended up with instead of hers as totally acceptable. Hopefully karma & the rule of law win out in the end!

I was always disgusted with how she was treated for staying with her husband after the scandals.

I dated a Wellesley student when I was at Harvard and spent a lot of time on that beautiful campus. There's a beautiful lake
called Lake Waban which is part of the campus and has a surrounding footpath. One can thus circumnavigate the lake, It is very isolated, in a forest really, as Secretary Clinton says but there are buses that run on the hour from Wellesley to MIT and Harvard. That's how students without cars can commute and their dates get out there and back.. Wellesley was called one of the Seven Sisters women's colleges , , Barnard, Vasser, Mt Holyoke, etc, don't know if they still use that name. Huge prestige, Katherine Hepburn and Ali MacGraw among it's alums.

Many Whitehouse staff members quit during the Clinton Era because of Hillary's abusive behavior to the staff. Then there is Watergate, Filegate, the Podesta emails, the fact that she charged the American people for every speech she gave at the time. She called American soldiers deplorable, and she helped assist the sale of American uranium to Iran. Hillary will lie for a vote, we both know it. Don't forget how American soldiers died in Benghazi because of her actions. There are many questionable deaths that loom around the Clinton's from Vince Foster to their many personal security guards. May they rest in peace. The Clinton Foundation had to be dismantled because it was found to be corrupt, of course Hillary knew nothing. Kids in Haiti went missing while they were under the care of the Clinton Foundation, and Hillary still has nothing to say about it. Then, there were the private email servers Hillary had set up and dismantled during her time in the Whitehouse. Hillary put the American people at risk and knew it. She tried to cover her tracks. You really should do your research on the candidates that you endorse.

One of the great things that she did was her advocacy for children’s health, I remember because I was working in social services and her healthy children was so beneficial to so many families including my own. What a big mistake we made (not me) in the election of trump who has done so much damage to our country, it’s just unbelievable. Mrs. Clinton is an exceptional woman.

I don't think she was doing that. Even a bad relationship has bright moments, and she's clearly a strong advocate for women. I really liked that the interview was focused on her. The grace Clinton showed in those moments about Bill made her shine so it reinforced the fact that this interview was about HER, former Secretary of State. I loved that.

I have much respect and admiration for Mrs Hilary Clinton. She is a wonderful mother and Bill is sooo blessed to have her. She is a forgiving woman. She put herself second and helped him attain his aspirations, even when he did crazy things that I am sure embarrassed her. But, she stood by him and went forward. She even forged her own path serving our country. May God always bless her.
Embarrassed? Surely you jest! Hillary Clinton could have cared less about her husband’s improprieties. I seriously doubt Lewinsky was his first conquest. I’m assuming you’re stuck on the “woman” slant being widely played in today’s politics. I also assume you know nothing about the Clinton’s “beginnings”. Start with Whitewater around 1978, go on to Vincent Foster’s suicide and top it off with the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Arkansas. She’s made and continues to make millions off taxpayers backs. Check out what she’s paid to speak at universities.

I like how fluently she speaks here. As First Lady and even later, as Presidential candidate, her speech was often labored, sometimes coming off as 'talking down' to people, as if we could not understand what she was saying. I suppose it was because she was so afraid of stepping on rhetorical landmines, but it caused people, I believe, to mistrust her, or find her insincere. I hope she continues this straight manner of communicating and that it keeps her contributing as a great leader in society.

I love her books. I’ve learned so much from them about strong values and leadership. I think Hard Choices about being Secretary of State is my favorite. It shows the importance of the job and makes you cringe to think of an inexperienced person being appointed to the job.

I have always had tremendous respect for her achievements and have always been dismayed at how very little people, even people who claim to support her, actually know about her life.

Did Hillary say nice things about it afterward?--sure, but she was only riding the coattails of Kennedy and Hatch, like hundreds of others in Government.
