      Watch out for all those pesky drones with their EMPs! On most bases, you will find your HoJ's battery being jammed. However, despite this, I still recommend it greatly! Don't forget to dive into teleported soldiers or knock them to the ground. Otherwise they might pull a knife on you, when you try to hold them up. For extra style points, hold them up using the water pistol. If you manage to hold up all soldiers on the FOB and destroy all cameras (or the generator) and drones, nobody will be left to confirm visual contact with you, meaning an alert becomes impossible unless you purposefully go out of your way to get soldiers back up on their feet or a defender arrives. Have fun!

      @@FeixMan Oh my lord, I have ~200 FOB victories and I never thought that the Generator would knock out cameras, I just thought it killed the lights ... damn I feel stupid hahaha! Haven't run into any EMP's yet, just recently ran into Sleep Grenade Drones, holy shit they are brutal lol. Any opinion on the best Security settings / what is hardest to infiltrate? Obviously it depends on what equipment you've developed so far, but I've been running Long Range Lethal. Non lethal is good because you can't sleep grenade them, but the fact that they have to come fulton you out means that you can stand on a crate and they can never get to you. Seems to me Lethal is the better option!

    • @FeixMan
      @FeixMan  Před 4 lety +3

      @@techdeth Sorry, but I'm afraid I can't comment on what's the hardest setting to infiltrate. The meta has evolved too much since I last played the game seriously. Like, I have a big, fat defense that, back in the past, was even a challenge for the best of players. But now people just run through it with Quiet and a holographic shield generator and reach my core in less than 30 seconds.
      I don't think camping on containers on non-lethal bases works. It used to work, I remember that, but I think they patched it. If the soldier's pathfinding can't seem to get to you, you will just be auto-fultoned. You can still camp a little by sitting in unconventional spots, causing the soldiers to run long routes before getting to you, but you can't do it indefinetily anymore. My base is lethal btw, but non-lethal has many advantages too.

    • @FeixMan
      @FeixMan  Před 5 lety +4

      If your R&D team is the only team that's needed, you could try to relocate staff from other teams over to R&D. Open the list with your R&D team and move everyone with a low rank to the waiting room. Then just open the list containing all personnel, sort it by R&D compability, and mark every high ranking member, who isn't on R&D already, and put them into R&D. The R&D level should rise and then you can try to start development on your desired items. As soon as the development started, you can can auto-sort your personnel again, as this will not abort the development process.
      Otherwise you'll have to grind more and kidnap more high ranking personnel.

    • @FeixMan
      @FeixMan  Před 3 lety +3

      1) Develop the S-1000 shotgun if you havn't already. We want the non-lethal option, called S-1000 AIR, as it fires bursts of air. I don't remember anymore whether that was a seperate development project, or just an option avaiable from the customization menu. You'll have to check that yourself. Anyway, take that gun with you during FOBs and you'll be able to quickly take out soldiers, who spotted you, before they can trigger an alert. Headshots are obviously more effective, but a shot to the torse will do. Remember to check if they're still conscious after having been knocked over. If they are, they might get up and trigger the alert. Simply fire another shot at them, that should do the trick.
      2) Use decent camouflage. I think for FOBs, grey squares are best, if I recall correctly. Although I personally like to go nude. Less defense, of course, but you get a nice score multiplier. Same goes for attacking during the day.
      3) Hand of jehuty is worth its weight in gold. You can so easily eliminate guards with this. Mark them, get into 30m range, pull them to you, lay down on your back and hit their legs (or dive into them) and point your gun at them. They will not give themselves up and because they're not standing, they won't try to attack you with their knife. "Interview" them to gather more information, such as marked guards or cameras on your map. You can clear out an entire base like this. If you additionally destroy all cameras and drones, an alert state is effectively impossible. That's mostly for showing off, though. Or for safely and comfortably gathering materials.
      4) Keep at it. FOBs are considerably harder than Singleplayer. If you notice you fail a lot at first, don't worry, that's normal for most people. If you keep at it, you will surely soon see success AND more income than investments.
      Feel free to ask any questions.

      Are you sure you're replicating the dive correctly? You can not be crouch-walking inbetween dives as this would raise your visibility to the enemy. You need to chain every dive into the next, only bridged by the necessary animations. That would you appear as if you were laying down constantly.

    No alerts. Setting off the proximity sensors sends an alert. It's near impossible not to send an alert I've had perfect runs and still a defender shows up.

    • @FeixMan
      @FeixMan  Před 2 lety

      There are several kinds of alerts in the game. The one which notifies the defender and allows them to come protect their base is the security alert. Triggering security alert as an infiltrator is basically unavoidable on higher level bases, since the moment you spawn on an enemy base, an invisible countdown starts, which when reaching zero triggers the security alert. Almost every action you perform on the enemy base also shortens the countdown, including the simple task of progressing over the bridges. On bases with the highest levels, the countdown is so short that spawning on the base immediately triggers security alert, meaning defenders could arrive as soon as you start infiltrating.
      The security alert is not being taken into account by the game for the "no alert" bonus at the end of the mission and neither are the audio alert noises transmitted by the proximity sensors after triggering them. Only the combat alert, which requires visual contact/confirmation of the infiltrating agent by enemy forces or cameras/drones, ceases the no alert bonus to be applied.

      The video is about three years old now. Back then when I still played MGSV and made videos such as these, Quiet wasn't playable in FOB missions yet. The same goes for Revolver Ocelot.
      Snake's robotic arm is incredibly useful, especially if you equip the hand of jehuty. That said, you will have to deal with EMP drones often if you wanna use it, especially on higher level bases.

    • @FeixMan
      @FeixMan  Před 6 lety

      Mithilfe der Leertaste den Hechtsprung machen und Snake landet auf dem Bauch.
      Möchte man nun einen weiteren Hechtsprung machen, muss man für gewöhnlich erst mal in die Hocke gehen und kann dann erst wieder springen. Doch es gibt einen Weg dies zu verkürzen.
      Sobald man auf dem Bauch gelandet ist (oder sogar schon kurz vorher), die rechte Maustaste drücken um eine Waffe zu ziehen (zum Beispiel ein Gewehr). Sobald das Fadenkreuz auftaucht, in die Hocke gehen. Sobald Snake beginnt in die Hocke zu gehen, die rechte Maustaste loslassen und erneut die Leertaste drücken.
      Springt man wie oben beschrieben, kann man viel schneller springen. Dies liegt daran, dass man eine andere Aufsteh-animation erzwingt und diese sogar abbricht, was deutlich schneller geht als normale Hechtsprünge aneinander zu reihen.

    • @FeixMan
      @FeixMan  Před 4 lety +2

      There's several factors which determine whether you'll be easily spotted by snipers:
      - Are you positioned in such a way there's an direct line of sight to the typical sniper spots (mostly the towers)?
      - Are you standing, crouching or crawling?
      - What kind of camo are you wearing?
      - Is the base already on security alert and guards thus more observant?
      - What rank are enemy snipers?
      - Are you attacking at night or at day?

      I usually use swim suit for mobility but wen I’m stealing s++staff I use sneakin suit and I always attack at night I get caught right wen I’m pulling them

    • @FeixMan
      @FeixMan  Před 4 lety +2

      @@izzal639 If I remember correctly, sneaking suit only masks the sound of your foot steps and your heat signature from night vision goggles. It doesn't have any other benefits regarding stealth. I think it's more effective to use a camo which fits the setting, because it actually hides you better. I think this also works when going naked.
      Why not just stay out of sight completely? Hide behind a container, for example, and lure guards towards the edge by throwing empty magazines. Once they're in reach (30m with the fully developed hand of jehuty), just grab them.
      Alternatively, just incapitate the entire base. Pull guards towards you, lay down and hit their ankles or jump at them to make them fall (as standing guards sometimes try to knife you), and put your gun towards them. Don't forget to ask them questions, because some of them mark their comrades, which is useful.
      A guard like this will only ever stand up again when the base is on alert. If you incap all guards like this, and deactivate all drones and cameras, it is literally impossible to trigger an alert unless you case guards to stand up again (by knocking them out and waking them up again).

      I hope your S1000 shotgun is equipped to fire bursts of air? If it is and you add a scope of your liking to it, it's one of the most valuable tools in the game!
      There's also a gun that fires rounds which emit small sleeping gas clouds. Extremely useful as well.

The term "no alert" refers to a bonus given at the end of a mission. I completed the FOB mission with said bonus, which I mentioned in the title. Everything good on my side. Meanwhile you go on to count events that have no relation to the no alert bonus and pretend to be smug and all-knowing. Just because you know what the word alert means? Wow, dude, you're capable of using the English language.
      Also, why should I be salty? Because some random CZcamsr who doesn't even know how MGS V works thinks he's in a position to critizise my skill in the very game he does not understand? Yeah, sure, buddy.
