- CQC Skull Soldiers (Mist, Armor, Camouflage) and learn pro tips on their behavior and hidden secrets in the game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Note that Puppets and Quiet are considered Skull Soldiers because they were sent by Skull Face. All of them share the condition of having parasites infesting their bodies, so they have super powers. Video shows what these special abilities are and ways to deal with them. Examples are using weather modification to clear the sky of mist, or making it rain. The Water Pistol is also useful as a weapon to disable their attacks and see funny dance animations. Quiet even has special rainbow healing dance when she is injured to critical level.

Who Knows there will be a mission where you get code talker
Just beat that mission and you can get the suit
To power the suit you need parasites you get them by extracting skulls
You will get different parasites bases on what type of skulls you kill
Armour skulls give you armour parasites
Camo skulls give you camo parasites
Mist skulls give you mist parasites
Sadly no teleportation

1 You showed Quiets Rainbow Healing, which I never saw in gameplay.
2 Eli got his arm smashed, and I love it when his smart ass gets whipped.

It’s interesting that both Quiet and the female skulls like the rain, could be that they are a better or worse version of Quiet, because in games characters that are alike and are the same gender in the same game series, in the same game.

Aidan Wright actually, when doing mission “A Quiet Exit” in the heli before you land, it’s explained that when she was burned, Skullface put Parasites in her to save her. But she has the English strain of the parasite virus, which is why she doesn’t talk until the end of “A Quiet Exit”

To be fair, big boss took out the entire team that ended world war 2, the same group that has enhanced superhuman abilities including a thousand year old man who invented sniping followed by a metal gear AND a crap ton of othrr machinery, fairly sure something like the skulls is rather....manageable as i would say

Until you realize that Venom Snake is not the Snake who infiltrated the USSR, but it was Naked Snake.....So in reality it was Naked Snake who defeated the Cobra Unit and not Venom Snake....though I would say Venom is quite good at his own leagues.....

Venom and Big Boss have the same skill level, it would be obvious if you notice your enemy is suddenly doing worse then usual.

The mist unit is more "special" than I remember it being, and all this video does ia solidify how badass all the people who went under the name Snake are.
Solid Snake, Venom Snake and Naked Snake are all badass for being human beings that achieve the impoasible, and Raiden from MGS 2 was pretty cool too.

It's more like Skullface thought Quiet was a failure of an experiement and decided that he could use the Parasite Therapy to make 10 more or however many just like her only they would not fail him or turn against him. They'd be his total and complete puppets to use whenever he pleased
Not nice, except if you bring Quiet with you, she killed 2 of them for me
@@anamggss she gets sent to med bay after getting shot once in extreme though... i just go alone and use noctocyanin and snipe them or mark them and go around and climb the cracks bc they are quite a pain in the ass. I usually take 3 of them out (fulton them for thr parasites) and sneak around the 4th one bc if there's still one alive it won't be considered as them defeated and the soldiers guarding Code Talker won't be on alert. And with the 3 out, there's only 1 sniper around controlling the puppet soldiers (and puppet soldiers are 100% easier to run away from than real conscious soldiers and don't start an alert phase) when you're carrying Code Talker and she's in the area before the waterfall, so you can just go the other way and call pequod to the other LZ and not bother with her. S rank guaranteed and an easy way to get the Wolf codename if you still don't have it as well

Fun fact: You can walk past Skulls inside a box. I'm not joking. I tried it on accident since I was trying to get past the skulls on the bridge where they 1st appear (I didn't know that you can change the landing zone to not trigger them at the time) but somehow it worked and I literally just walked past them in a box. I was wearing Solid Snake, so I don't know if they have night vision or anything, but I was good.
I still like my high powered and high penetration sniper rifle against the skulls especially in Extreme Mode it is a life-saver! Against the Skulls in normal mode they don't stand a chance and it makes collecting the parasites easy.

I was fighting Quiet the other day and she landed in a spot filled with water and there was a rainbow. I didn't know what the hell was going on, never seen that before. I thought she was mesmerized by the rainbow and that's why she was dancing.
wow had no idea u could counter those skulls, always running my ass off shooting at them so never noticed and wouldn't of ever expected that u could even do that, that's dope.

When I saw quiet in the first time, I said to my self "A female sniper?"and 10 seconds later I was calling artillery strikes and laying fire when I see her again and again and after all of the explosion and gun shoots, I said "maybe I'll save." lol
You can completely skip the first encounter with the mist skulls by swapping the RZ
I hide behind a rock and when they pass i got to the LZ :D
+JJOOKER i hid under the bridge, for a while and when the 2 other mist guys came i ran back up to the bridge and RAN LIKE HELL with miller on my back, i was scared when they first appeared, and new i was out gunned

Trying to CQC these skull soldiers is tough becuase they switch between shooting and getting close to you. They dont seem to shoot at you at all, did you do something?
Dango Unchained I think if they just stand still and don't try to run they will cqc you. if you get too far away they will start shooting.

The mist skulls and the armored vehicles (i mean in open conflict not in stealth where you can just fulton extract them) are the hardest enemies.

@@edepot It's a wrestling move in which you hit the opponent's neck or upper torso with your forearm while running (in wrestling sometimes the opponent flips from the force,yeah i know that wrestling it's fake).
When u call rain in metallic archaea and they get stunned, if u attack them, do they resume their attack or keep doing the "rain damce"?
If I remember correctly, they get interrupted and start to attack you (warping too)

Nah if you press it the wrong time you get hit you need to press when the game show... and dont run its dont work in skull if you run...

I passed the first mission by spam throwing empty magazine at distance. It didn't really distract them but stop them from coming closer

I've thought they are all the same, but one way you can find out if there are differences is to check how much of the damage bar goes down for each CQC type on each of the Skull Soldiers. Are you saying certain type of CQC lowers more or less their damage bar?

When I got first fight with armored skulls,I was using Quiet Back as a companion and thunder 11 mk1,I killed all 4
the best weapon to deal with mist skulls in the brenanan-lrs-46 (my favorite weapon)

It's a good idea to listen to the cassette tapes because a lot of stuff is explained in there, also things that might help you in your missions
