Everyone does stealth their own way lol. You could say that going in ghost and coming out undetected is stealth. You could also say that going in and killing every last person and all cameras to remove all witnesses is stealth.

This vid was awesome i recently played the game for 80+ hours trying for platinum and 100% completion and I now own 3 FOBS 1 is fully upgraded and my mother base is fully expanded as well Im trying for 4 full FOB and all S++ Staff members and completing all the development projects. this game is still awesome 8 years later

Back in 2000 I've exploited demo version of MGS on Ps1 so much that I've discovered Nikita rockets stored on the back of the truck :)(after few tricks with changing locations). I was just 15 yo and I was already keen to spent like 50 hours in a fucking demo ver of the game :)
I was always exploring that stealth game world to it's maximum, checking all the possibilities around. I've also played Thief, Splinter Cell series... all on hard difficulty always looking for a challenge.. Recently I've discovered that and Holy Shit... I'm thinking to steal that nuke without triggering a single alarm. Just for giggles. Like in the movies.. Anyway thanks for your video man! Awesome gameplay. Opened my eyes a bit more :)

I got into MGS late, because I didn't have a Playstation as a kid. When MGS V captured me on PC, I bought a PS3 and played the entire MGS series. Fantastic games! Even the 2D titles were impressive!

I used to be somewhere within top 200 on the worldwide leader boards on PC. I played with number 1 a couple of times though.
There's a surprisingly huge amount of depth to MGSV and I really enjoyed playing FOBs. Teleporting doesn't work anymore, unfortunately. If you havn't already, check my channel for more MGSV videos.

Here I am failing to stealth lvl 20-30 FOB's while being as slot and stealthy as possible and this man just fucking dives his way through the whole thing like it's nothing.

You’re going to have a rough time catching up to him if you want to take him down. Try using grenades or gas to trap him. Venom Snake used to be a hero fighting for nuclear disarmament, but now he’s just another mercenary working for Outer Heaven. Good luck Snake!

Gameplay-wise, the original MGS is quite a different beast than MGSV and so are most of the titles in the series. That said, I have played and beaten most of the games, including of course Metal Gear Solid!

God damn I just got into this game, have like 42 hours in it, and majority of my campaign missions consist of me doing decent stealthily and then getting spotted or some random guy comes out of nowhere or quiet just decides to shoot a man with a helmet. A few of my mission I managed to do setalthily, but when it comes to fob, I normally do okay stealthily, and then I'm spotted or I make it to the end and someone sees me climbing the stairs to the point lol. Any tips for new players?
Don't worry. I started just as small and clumsy as you. Additionally, there's a huge gap in difficulty between the campaign and FOBs, as FOBs are considerably harder. If you try to master them now you may also ruin the campaign for you, as the good loot you can get from FOBs can make many of the campaign's missions trivially easy. I'd recommend finishing the campaign first, then going for 100% and while doing so, experimenting with different play styles, not just stealth. Because FOBs aren't just pure stealth. If you have to defend your base, you'll need combat skills too, for example.

love how easy you make it loook i just opened FOB and died after one minute first attempt so trying to learn something here. can anyone tell me where you must be before times running out I've seen other videos opened some kind of door and got message infiltration successfully. but what level are these doors and are they on every platform or only command ? please anyone know answer respond thx
Don't be worried about you having a hard time. There's a large discrepancy between the challenge and needed engagement asked by FOB missions and those of the standard campaign, resulting in a huge difficulty spike. It's normal. You'll get better at it with time.
The primary goal of FOB missions is to infiltrate the core. You do that by passing through the door which you mentioned. Every platform has such a door, wheter it'd be a command platform, a R&D platform or any of the others. Three things to keep in mind, though:
Platforms can be upgraded by the owner, causing them to have several decks. This is why I have to cross several bridges in this video, because those connect the decks with each other. The door leading to the core is always on the main deck, while you always spawn on the deck furthest away from the core. Thus, infiltrating FOBs upgraded with several decks is much more difficult than infiltrating single deck FOBs.
Second, the design and layout of the main deck depends on the platform you're attacking. The command platform, for example, has a large tower in the middle, with a few structures surrounding it, and a spiraling walkway up to the top, where the core is. Meanwhile, the R&D platform has a huge, open space, where many material containers are stored and only has a much smaller structure in the back, featuring large ramps.
And last but not least, the door to the core closes during an active alarm. The security alert does not trigger the closing of the door, but should you be sighted by the enemy, causing a combat alarm, the door will immediately close. You will have to hide from the enemy until they lose sight and give up searching for you, causing the alert to end and the door to re-open, or you'd have to attack and kill all enemy units, which would have the same effect. Be careful: Enemy soldiers can request back-up, causing additional soldiers to spawn on the platform.
By the way, me placing a wormhole teleportation device behind the door serves to secure my infiltration's sucess, even if I decide to investigate the platform further to steal resources and unfortunately trigger an alarm. With the device already placed behind the door, I can teleport into the core even if it closes. The device is high-level gear, though. It requires beating a certain Event FOB that isn't always avaiable, if I remember correctly. You'd also have to be careful not to accidently enter the core when trying to place the device behind the door, because that would end the mission. Not a big problem, since that grants you victory, but now you can't go back to steal more resources.
All of that is a little too advanced for you, at least as of now. I'd suggest you travel to your own motherbase and run around there. Get familiar with the general layout of your platforms. This way you'll have a better orientation when you try to infiltrate enemy FOBs and things get serious. By the way, in the FOB mission screen, there are also so-called training missions. Here you can attack your own FOB, or those of friends. It's just "simulated", though. You don't receive anything for winning, but in return you also don't get punished for losing. It's a great way to practice FOB infiltration.

No, I don't. Even back then, when I still played, I didn't have all of them developed and by now, some new ones have been added too. Although I do have most of them.

Do you still play? I just got back into MGS. Played on console when it launched, but am just now getting heavily into FOBs on PC.
I personally do not play anymore. After about 800 hrs, if I remember correctly, it kinda just fizzles out for me. Although I am very curious to go back and check it out now and then.

Some people's fobs have quit and there isn't any troops/resources at some. Theres still people playing. 2 days ago I had someone defend a fob I was invading. Theres a couple of hackers. One fob I invaded said it didnt have anyone on it or nukes so I did it for easy GMP, but the fucker proceeded to have 4 nukes, all S++ on all skill troops, and maxed out gear. Theres also another hacker who had all their troops be girls in bikini's with maxed stats. The fob scene on pc has less players but isn't completely dead.
I also hear that konami was also hiding nukes on the fob invade choice screen on pc but it might be a myth.
I just restarted the game on a new profile. Knowledge where and what I did wrong first time round.

Absolutely 10/10, god tier skills shown in this video. As a massive MGS fan, I fucking *wish* I could say I was this good at the game. But, also as a massive MGS fan... I wouldn't call this an example of "perfect stealth." I'd say "no alerts," but that isn't the same thing as "no alarms," or "no detection," when it comes to this series, which is all taken into account when you want to use the word "perfect." Perfect stealth is ghosting the entire base, leaving not a single trace that you were even there until you're long gone. You destroyed cameras, set off alarms, caused CP to place all fire teams on alert, and even got one dude to straight up open fire on your general location. But again, that isn't to say you aren't amazing. Like... holy shit, dude. I believe your place on that leaderboard, lmao! Are you still up there in the ranks? Still play at all? Might have to check out your other videos...
The "perfect stealth" in my title refers to a bonus given at the end of missions. It is literally called "perfect stealth" and even though I didn't ghost the enemy base, I did get said bonus, hence the title.
I still have the game installed in case I feel like returning to it. But I don't play on a regular basis anymore. Currently too occupied with Left 4 Dead 2, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and Tetris 99. Working on 100 wins on that last one.
Regarding MGSV ranking, I used to be in the top 300 world wide, maybe even top 200. I don't remember anymore. If I had to guess, I'd say I'm still in the top 500. The meta has totally changed, though. I recently played and got robbed by a guy, who I mistook for a cheater ; but he was simply using advanced tech that wasn't avaiable yet back when I played. Added him on Steam and we had a nice chat.
Oh, I see! Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. It's been years since I've touched the game myself, so I admit I rather embarrassingly forgot that was a thing, and missed it while watching your video.
I am curious, though? You mentioned that you mistook the guy who robbed you for a cheater. What constitutes as "cheating" within the FOB community? Because I've since watched a couple of your other videos where you quite literally glitched your way out of the playable area in order to gain an advantage on your opponents. Made for some very hilarious content, if I'm being honest, but personally I would count that as cheating, lol.
And if any of what I am saying here comes off as condescending or vitriolic, please be assured that I am simply curious and eager to learn more, and not trying to disrespect you in any way, shape, or form. Again, you're one of the best players I have seen. Thanks for the informative and responsive reply btw!

While the large majority of comments underneath my videos are positive, which I REALLY appreciate, some of them express dissappointment about me not "ghosting" as they expected after reading "perfect stealth", when it's literally jargon from with-in the game. Maybe some unfortunate naming on the developer's part.
What is to be considered cheating is of course a matter of opinion. Yes, I did some really funky stuff teleporting around the map like crazy. But while this certainly wasn't intentional by the developers, it still made it into the game. I did not alter the game in any way or abused any tools to achieve the teleportation. What I'm trying to get at is that ANY player can do this. I even did TWO tutorials (one in video form and one text-based on Steam) to educate people on the glitch, so they could try it for themselves. I only find that fair. I was certainly exploting, but whether that should be considered cheating, well I'm not too sure. There are, however, people who are literally hacking the game ; using third-party, external tools, for example, to immediately put all of your soldiers to sleep. There also used to be a base which featured a number of explosive mines considerably higher than the maximum number possible in-game by normal means. Which meant that any player who'd try to infiltrate this base would immediately crash. This base was basically unbreakable and so were its nukes, making complete nuke disarmament impossible back then. That's what I personally would consider cheating.

I see. Yeah, again I apologize for the basic oversight. Your video popped up in my recommended after years of you having released it, so my mind has been off the game for just as long and I simply forgot that was actual jargon/specifications for your run.
As for the question of cheating, I was more talking about where you were under the map, rather than the teleporting (which I thought was simply clever af by the way), but your response still answered my question all the same.
I agree with you. Exploiting a glitch that anyone can pull off with a little practice, no different from getting good at the game itself with a little practice, is nowhere near the same as using, say, cheat engine to win, or hacking the game as you said.
That being said, I would argue that not everyone would have learned of this glitch, through your videos or otherwise. Certainly not in the moment, as shown in your video where none of them were the wiser for it.
THAT being said, lol, I also think it is the responsibility of the devs to patch out such glitches if they don't want people using them, so it's all shaky ground that I don't fault you at all for simply walking.

@@Stormocity Me going underneath the map was a direct result of the teleportation glitch. You can't choose where to teleport to, it depends on where you execute the exploit. In most cases, you just get thrown into the ocean and die. But at this particular spot, you get teleporter into the map's geometry, which grants you access to all sorts of shenanigans. All of that, though, has been fixed, which is for the better. So nowadays I enjoy exploiting the shit out of Left 4 Dead 2, because that game is so much more broken!

Why do I find myself jamming to the track in the beginning?

I don't know how it is nowadays, but back then when I played, the game was very active and bringing nukes into your possession meant you'd have to expect with an attack of your command base immediately.
If it still is like this, use this to your advantage! After receiving nukes, stay in-game, wait in the helicopter, and surely enough you'll soon get the emergency mission about your base being infiltrated. Now just go there to defend, immediately fulton/wormhole your nukes out and your set. Even if the invader reaches your core, your nukes are safe already. And after having been invaded, your base will be protected from further invasions for a set time, allowing you to safely leave the game.
Make sure to return to the game before your protection ends. Instead of waiting for that to happen, drop your protection yourself. Then, soon afterwards, the next attack on your base will occur. Repeat as described above and regain your protection.
This becomes more effective when you have more nukes, because people can only steal 4 nukes at a time from you, meaning that the rate at which you can lose nukes is quite slow. If you have a full arsenal of nukes, it'll take infiltrators like a week to get to all to them.
Just play on a regular basis and you will be fine!
Apart from that, just make sure you have a good defense level on your base, decently placed mines, and a lot of friends, because those too have the chance to defend your base. Just in case you're not around to do it yourself.
