"Things that never panned out" describes most of my life 😂
Ain’t that the truth.
😂Classic, The More I think about it, we are in a similar Boat!😂 keep it Safe out there
76+ me people feel called out Hahaha
exactly. except in my case its because my family made them not pan out.
I have to agree also
The Terex wheel loader would have been a great addition to your equipment fleet. It might have been a little too nice for you since it ran and moved without doing any wrenching on it!
Matt; once a week is about average, and if you are working alone even that is going to be hard to do. We appreciate everything you can put together. I personally enjoy your obsession with old machinery, it saves me a lot of money doing it myself. I used to live on the other end of your state (50 years ago) in northern Bucks County.
Really loving the “things didn’t pan” it shows a little more into the struggle of finding equipment and how hard it can actually be. I would love to see more of these even if it’s a short 5min video for every time it didn’t pan
Great idea!
I’ve only seen your wife in a few videos but watching the two of you together is priceless. Always makes me laugh
We need more of her "are you F'n crazy looks at you"
So let me get this straight, you passed on a front loader that started right up and was basically 90% good to go. Of course you did! It was too easy! Lol Merry Christmas!
Easy = Expensive :-) Matt loves the cheap ones that everyone else has written off.
I didn't hear any belt squeal on it either
10/10 I love these types of videos, not every video has to be a new project or even amazing. More content is what the people want. I also know Dan Smith, the guy who sold you the international truck. I love pretty close to that township yard.
He needs to generate content. Easy means not as much content.
@@dougherbert7899 yep, harder projects means more videos and more viewer engagement with tips and tricks.
Boy ol blue sounded like it earned lunch hauling that orange beast.
Noticed when the wife was going to look in the loader cab,you brought up the bees( having never seen a bee in the cab) & that put the breaks on her looking at the loader..Excellent game play
Merry Christmas Matt didn't expect a video today but what a great addition to the day
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@DieselCreek what an unexpected Christmas bonus matt ,would love to see you collab with NKNH on his 977 track loader ,Andrew camarata is also in the mix & after your collab with let's dig 18 who also coincidentally has a 977 it would be an awesome video .Thanks for spoiling us & happy holidays, catch ya next year 🎅👍
@@DieselCreek Merry Christmas to you and yours....
And thanks for the video!!!
You should have gotten that terex
But I have an idea!!!
A great goal for next year should be something most of us 80s kids wanted to do...
Hear me out on this........one word...
CONSTRUCTICONS...
.......IRL!!!!!!
YOUR WELCOME
I agree!!!!
Enjoyed the video as always
Was anyone disappointed when the wheel loader started so fast? 😆 Love the video. Merry Christmas Matt
That thing started up like it had run for an hour and was just restarted!
Way too easy!
it is a 2 stroke.......
That was impressive, and it only hunted for an idle for like three seconds and smoothed out.
The whistle and throat on old blue is something I'm gonna miss.
Hello mister Creek, im a crane operator and i am pretty sure if u put hand on a old 1960s Linkbelt Conventional boom Friction crane , or a 1970s American brand ones ( or any more recent ones LOL), you will appreciate and be amazed by these engineering ! Quite simple still. These 60s 70s machine are Still quite often operating daily in 2022 on compaction with like 55000 or 60 000 thousands hours on... Keep your eyes on. Often comes with Lot of spare boom parts its modular so can have boombutt and boomhead like 40 foots short boom but can add LOT of sections between can reach 100 ++++ foots LOL lot of fun to have with this.
Matt is the kind of person you are just waiting to get a phone call from and he's like, "Hey man, want to help work on some old machine I found and drink beer?" How could anyone refuse that offer?
Hahah, I’ve only got a couple friends that’ll take me up on that. The rest figured out how much work that is
I would work on stuff for beer 🤣
A pleasant surprise seeing this on Christmas Day! Of course we want to see more!
Merry Christmas Matt
Send them on thanks sir see you 2023 God spears lives
Yea he should upload every other day like dirt perfect
OK, am I the only one that zooms in to read all the stickers? That's one mighty good, eclectic collection!!!!!
Lmfao "it does look And feel bigger to me" "that's what she said" Clip 😂 to hilarious Matt 2:56 @Diesel Creek
You should definitely keep that old 6.0 liter for hauling buckets, skid steer attachments, tools, anything you can put on that flatbed. Good trucks you got sir. I love the grill on that F450 you don’t see it much.
Now, this was a great Christmas gift. A Diesel Creek vid on Christmas day! Not all projects end up working out, but they make great content. Merry Christmas Matt and family!
The 6.0 scream and turbo at 26:05 is amazing! 😂
Love the sound of that 6.0 pulling that orange truck! ❤
This is the one I've been waiting for ! Merry Christmas Matt and the rest of you guys 🇺🇸🇬🇧🎄
Ya I didn’t do much recording that day I was too busy sulking haha… this is all I had 🤷🏼♂️
@@DieselCreek I know the feeling 😉 I appreciate you taking the time
@@LordMuck yeah boi, here he is, you little rip Dawg 👌🏻
@@timfagan816 Have a great day Tim 👌🏼
Merry Christmas Lord amuck, appreciate all the Content you have given this Year. For that, Thank You Kindly Sir, I’ll catch you on the next one. Keep It Safe Out There Sir
We are so used to seeing you "win" when it comes to recoveries, it's kind of sobering to see the fails (I mean-- look at the dragline recovery!) Looking forward to a new year with lots of "wins"!
Merry Christmas Diesel Creek subs and fans. There’s a line in a movie “ I don’t know miho maybe she’ll be smart enough for both of you”. I think Eva knew it wasn’t enough wrong on the wheel loader for the Diesel Creek channel. Hope you can go back and get the crane. That would look sweet at The National Pike Steam Show.
That detroit Diesel just fired right up on that terex Loader impressive what a nice old Gem 5:10 @Diesel Creek
Matt’s holiday blooper reel or “things that never panned out”. Sure to become a holiday classic 😂 “wherever the dipstick may be” Merry Christmas to you and yours sir. 🎉
Just wanted to say thank you for putting this out on Christmas day. After a long day of running around spending time with family I get to come home and relax with a nice new diesel Creek video. Your wife is a gem and I'm sure you already know that. This is why Sunday is usually my favorite day of the week
Amazing Sticker Collection there Matt Kinda looks like my tools Boxes Lol 😂 0:25 @Diesel Creek
Man that was awesome! Even you just going out and trying, it also gives us a glimpse into what else you actually had your hands on. And if I’m being honest, my favorite part of the video was the ol 6.0 towing that orange international! That turbo whistle and exhaust note was beautiful! 😍
You're one of my favorite CZcams channels. I'm interested in how you manage to film all this, I understand there's a lot of work behind it. What if you make a low effort video explaining how you do it? Equipment you use and so on? Behind the scenes!
For nerds like me, it's interesting to see the craftsmanship behind it. For others, it may enlighten them a little about how much it takes. This is only a suggestion, not a demand, I'll watch whatever you put up!
Oh man that was so smooth getting the SugarCreek truck in thst trailer Matt so smooth 😂😮 23:45 @Diesel Creek
Of course we want to see more! Merry Christmas Matt (and Miss Eva). I didn't expect a video today but what a great addition to the day
Love you guys keeping it real, and I think I can speak for most of us, we need more of Eva. She's a winner. Merry Christmas to all.
Merry Christmas, Matt! Thanks for all the great videos you’ve shared with us.
“That’s what she said”!!!
I love the drop in video clips!!
Thanks for the great channel Matt And for sharing a chunk of your life with us. Here's to a great 2023..
Merry Christmas to you and your family ! Great as usual , always like seeing old machines come back to life !!
What a great way to end the year. Reflecting on things that could have been, next year will bring more finds for the new shop. I’m looking forward to seeing the next project that you can’t live without.

The crawler crane needs a redemption. Part 2 with some big iron to load it! Merry Christmas Matt!
Gotta love having your own plate on the forks and bucket, that's cool stuff
Enjoy your passion for fixing these old machines. it is sad to see them abandoned in a field. What a good feeling it is to get em running and working. I enjoy the stories of how you find them as much as you fixing them! Thank you for this video today! always look forward to seeing a new video Matt! Merry Christmas! ps...at 25.42 the sound of your ford pulling out and up that hill....MUSIC!
Truly enjoy your videos and appreciate the time and effort you must put into it all.
Merry Christmas !
Ditto!
Well there's your problem - that Terex started right up!
Thank you Matt, this video was a welcome surprise.
I wonder what more footage your keeping from us. 😛
Your doing a great job of entertaining us and striking our interest and have us graving more.
Merry Christmas Matt! Thanks for all the great content and I wish you all the best in 2023!
Good Morning Matt and Merry Christmas!!
More of this stuff Matt...More!👍🤗
I liked the T-9/ Superior crane. One of my employers branches either does or did have the bigger model. Still on a T-9 chassis, but a sectional boom up to 60 feet long. I ran it at 42 foot of boom to set up piling so we could grab them with vibratory driver. Even had to repair a breakdown in the crane clutches. I think it was scrapped, but I am not sure. We called it Godzilla!
Matt, you are living my dream! Thank you for all of the awesome videos. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Enjoyed the content Matt, it's a good reminder that win, lose or draw everything takes time. Thank you for your efforts for 2022 and looking forward to what 2023 may bring. All the best 👍
Thanks for sharing your "could've, should've, would've" video. I think we all have experienced something like the situations you showed us with these experiences. I know that you'll find additional equipment in the future that you will "adopt" and bring home to receive some tlc or at least you'll put them back to work again. I'm looking forward to your next posting, as always!
Another great video! Merry Christmas to you, Eva, Meatball, and Roscoe!
That old sugarcreek truck came from just a few miles from where I grew up. I always assumed it came from up my way. Merry Christmas To you, the Mrs, and the dogs!
Where at in Sugarcreek did you grow up?
13:10 "It's easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission". 🤣
Merry Christmas Matt to you and all your family- and all the best for the new year . Love every video you do so this is an absolute bonus - cheers from Tasmania
Seeing the old Terex machine reminded me of when I use to work for a company, EUR Datacenter in Mechanicsburg PA, that's no longer in business. But 30 years ago, we installed "dumb computer" equipment in the offices of companies like LB Smith, Cleveland Brothers and Highway Equipment, in the Harrisburg area and all around the state and east coast of the US, from Massachusetts to Florida. And the data was entered into these terminals and send back to my company where it was stored in main frame computers. This was before the days of desktop computers. Wow! Have times changed!
Marry Christmas matt. I hope you and your family have a good Christmas. It was a nice gift to get a video from you.
Merry Christmas to you and your wife and family. Good to see the things that didn't pan out. Let's everyone know you don't live in a perfect world either. It's the attempt that counts sometimes.
Such a good wrap up Matt, the behind the scenes stuff is sill interesting to a lot of people, so yeah... more like this please. You don't always win 'em, so these "Didn't-quite-make-it" videos are still relevant and interesting, Merry Xmas.
Ten thousand thumbs up Matt. Thanks for your hard work. Next year will be good for you. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Happy new year too.
that was really kool Matt!! Merry Christmas to you and your wife, oh and the pups!!!
merry christmas matt you and your wife you have great content i look forward to new year and more garage stuff / equipment
33:51 Return of the wiper-arm, back for revenge! Humor aside, thanks for the look behind the curtain!
Would love to see another video like this! Shame about the WWII crane, would've been an awesome project.
Still, better to not wreck your trailer/get in a wreck over it! Some things just don't pan out, and that's okay.
Oho, a big snow-track machine of some kind? Intriguing! Oh, oh dear, those are some large gears laying there...
I look forward to seeing if anything comes of that potential project! Could get complicated, but it'd be awesome!
Keep on Keepin' on. Appreciate the work you put into your restorations, and enjoy seeing how much fun you are having along the way.
Your videos are always great fun to watch!
Have a great New Year!
I don't think Eva was too impressed with the Terex matching her shirt. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
That was a great collection of odds and ends .. keep it up. I bet you could put together a collection of bloopers also! 🙌
You seem to have the same great asset that has helped me stay out of trouble. A wife who is not afraid to say no and to ask the right questions. Bless you both this CHRISTMAS and wish you another great year together.
Love this video, it shows how hard you have to work for each pice of equipment you show on the Chanel.
Hope you show more videos on the shop build it looks so close to being finished.
pity you couldn't get hold of that international dozer Matt , if it's still there , any chance you can go back and grab it with something else , or maybe get it loaded on a truck somehow and get it transported to you ? it looks sweet , Happy New year to you Eva Roscoe and Meatball , and thanks for the content in 2022
Holiday Greetings from No. Vermont - a great collection of miscellaneous videos. Entertaining and interesting, thank you for digging it out of your hard drive. BTW - WB equipment accessories are awesome and well worth the price, plus made in the USA with really high quality steel and finishes.
Thanks for the year end cleanout video! Always fun to see the stuff you're up to! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Nice bonus video for the Christmas holiday. Wraps up the year well. All the best for 2023. 👍👍
Your wife is funny.
It's always fun to reminisce, about what you could have had.
Enjoyed it.
Wouldnt it be "noise to money" since the noise (running the machine) should be making you money? :) Merry Christmas and thanks for another year of entertaining videos!
That Bucket is Sweet Matt and it also had your Logo welded On it very nice 😮 19:32 @Diesel Creek
Thanks for the video Matt. Was a fun watch. Have a great Christmas, and a prosperous New Year.
Your adventures are always captivating. I eagerly anticipate your next video. I love to watch you resurrect old machines. For me personally, it is peaceful -- therapeutic even -- just to hear the sound of the machines moving. Even during fast frame. You explain well what you're doing and your enthusiasm is catching. As with everyone I watch, I'm content without the music. However, I'm aware that I am just one person and may not represent the majority. MERRY CHRISTMAS Matt & Eva!!! ONLY ONE person, whom has ever lived on the planet, is synonymous with Christ --- and THAT person is Jesus. Remember the TRUE reason for the season ... and a word to everyone: NEVER X Christ out of Christmas. Thank you Matt for these past years of entertainment. I love your new dream shop. I can't wait to see you put up those massive steel columns and travel rails for the building crane. I am extremely curious where you intend to cut a section out of that crane without compromising load cap. I am eagerly looking forward to your next adventures in 2023. I pray God continue to bless you & family without limit --- in Jesus' name.
Well, this was a pleasant way to bask in the warm afterglow of a nice Christmas morning. There I was with my family, wearing my brand new Diesel Creek t-shirt that my wonderful wife gave me earlier, and we all enjoyed watching the story of these loose ends. Thanks for the “bonus” content. Keep ‘em coming! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the Diesel Creek family!
Matt,
Love the Joy sticker. I grew up in Franklin when the plant was still churning our mining machines. We used to play on them as kids.
I appreciate the content you produce, and I'm in awe of the quantity and quality of your work. The big Utah channels I like all have photographers and editors. You can't possibly be expected to produce more without sacrificing quality.
Merry Christmas to you and the Missus.
Thanks for the excellent present, Merry Christmas Matt, to you and Eva, Take care! Looking forward to Diesel Creek 2023!
You get into the most interesting thing's I have ever seen. Love the channel and all of the equipment thanks for all the years of work you have put into it I hope for many more from you.
Thanks Matt, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
That Ford 6.0 with the old International on the back pulling hard! One International engine pulling another!
Great holiday special! It’s ok to change things up and try different stuff. Matt you worked hard to make that footage and that’s why we’re here each week, to see what you’re up to. 👍🏻
Merry Christmas Matt really enjoyed seeing the bits that got away so to speak and well up for more! Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2023! 👍
DANG, Matt...I love how old blue plays you a song when she gets up on the pipe. Sweet music!!
A nice trip through history .. all things for a reason, those future projects didn't pan out for a reason ...
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🇨🇦
Merry Christmas to u and ur wife and thank u for all the hard work u put into for videos for us. We truly appreciate it
Enjoyed it!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Merry Christmas Matt!!! Hopefully the wife, you and the pups have a great Christmas!!!!
Love for that crane to magically appear at the new shop. Deserves a chance if you could fit it in. I'm a fan no matter what! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, thank you for the videos, without you we wouldn't be here seeing what you do and the new adventures you journey though. More isnt always better.
Great Video. Loved it. Yes! do another! Thanks for a great 2022. So happy I found your channel this year. Just bought 8 Hyperlite highbay lights for my shop on your recommendation. The staff were very helpful. I should have them in my shop in a couple weeks. Thanks Matt!
Prayers are with you friend. May you be blessed beyond measure and the New Year be the best for you and your family Matt. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
Any mechanical footage is good footage. Keep em rolling Matt. Happy 2023 to you and Eva.
Good luck in the New Year Matt. Thanks for this years entertainment.
Can’t wait to see what the new year brings Matt. Thank you for all the knowledge and laughs from a long time subscriber 👍🏻
It’s actually great to get a glimpse of your proto-projects which didn’t pan out for one reason or another. Super-interesting!!! Thanks for sharing!
Merry Christmas Matt, keep 'em coming!
Thanks for the bonus footage and video. Stay safe and hope your 2023 is a great one. Peace
