Panda is not for everyone. To be successful at work environment, you just need to work hard and stay consistent. I’ve been working at panda for 2 years and I started back of house. I am now a chef which is basically assistant manager but focused more in the kitchen area. It’s all about your mindset when you work. I work 10-12 hour shifts, no breaks. I can honestly say I love my job, yes there are times where it’s frustrating but that’s part of life. I have a kitchen help who works 4 doubles and does dishes and sides all by himself. Doesn’t complain ever.
Yeah I work at panda too, I’m kitchen help/ front house. I have a positive team so work goes by fairly enough. I do think wage should be raised though. I personally feel like we aren’t getting paid for what we work for, I get paid $14 per hour and work my butt off having 8-9 hour days. An the other day I saw I could be working at Walmart only having to where a vest and a hat putting stuff away and allowed to be on your phone here and there AND YOU GET PAID $15 PER HOUR !!!!!!!!! Like that what really pisses me off about Panda Express. Where I have to work my butt off and others don’t and get more pay. But yeah I agree with you, it’s only usually me and the cook in the back, all about doing your stuff at the right time and knowing your stuff. So we Rarely ever get behind.
