Visiting RORKE'S DRIFT - Where 150 British troops fought over 3000 Zulu Warriors!

The battle of Rorke's Drift happened on 22nd January 1879, and involved around 150 British Soldiers defending against over 3,000 Zulu warriors.
After an intense 12 hour battle, the British eventually won. Efforts in the battle led to the awarding of 11 Victoria Crosses.
A museum stands on the grounds of the battle today, and features memorials for both the British and Zulus who lost their lives.
