Hello!
We're David and Chloe from Norfolk, England. We've been together for 10 years, and engaged since 2021.
Over the years we've been together, we have been lucky enough to travel and explore many parts of the world. However we never feel like we have enough time in these places and would reluctantly fly home and return to our 9-5's.
A few years ago, after returning home from a trip it clicked - maybe we could create a way to travel for longer.
We started saving as much as we could and by June 2022 we'd hit our saving goal, sold our furniture and left our house and jobs ready to travel the world, with 18 months at our disposal.
This channel will document our adventures as we make our way around the world over the next year and a half (and who knows, maybe even longer!)

RETURNING HOME after travelling the World for 605 days!!
Following a lovely few days with Chloe's parents in Madrid, we then joined David's parents for a few days exploring Northern Spain.
Our short tour of the north included visiting Sanillana del Mar, Armintza, San Sebastian and Castro Urdiales.
We then made our way to France, where we had planned another family reunion - this time with David's brother, Sister in law and Niece and Nephew!
During our week long stay in France we explored La Forêt-Fouesnant, Bénodet, Mont Saint Michael, Sword Beach and finally Douville.
It was then finally time to head back to the UK, 605 days after we set out on our travels!

Back in Europe, Meeting family, Exploring Madrid & Watching the Tamborrada!

After over a year and a half of travelling it was time to finally head back to Europe! Our destination was Madrid, where we were meeting Chloe's parents. We were so excited after not seeing them since we set off in August 2022! In this video we see some of Madrid top sights, including the Royal palace and Plaza Mayor, as well as seeing the The Tamborrada which only happens on Palm Sunday.

Jeddah Old Town during Ramadan (Al Balad)

In this video we head to the old town in Jeddah, otherwise known as Al Balad. We head there in the evening whilst the majority of Muslims break their fast, due to it being the Holy Month of Ramadan. Once there we explore the historic streets, go shopping in the souks, drink Arabic coffee and eat dates and honey cake, and visit historic sites like the Old Gate.

Join us as we fly from Southern Africa to Saudi Arabia. In this video we arrive in the Saudi city of Jeddah during the holy month of Ramadan. After checking-in to our hotel (Signature Hotel), we headed out to have a look around the local area and find something to eat. We ended up in the Cenomi Mall of Arabia eating Yemeni food for the first time. Check out the video to see what we thought of it!

We've finally made it to the end of our Southern African trip! After exploring Namibia and Botswana, it was finally time to head back towards South Africa. But before we took back the car, we visited the South African capital of Pretoria and relaxed at - - - - park, where we camped amongst lots of wildlife - including Ostriches!

In this video we've made it to Sossusvlei, Namibia. Sossusvlei is a salt pan in the Southern Namib desert, which happens to be the oldest desert in the world. From Addo, we headed down towards the famous Garden Route. The garden route is one of South Africa's most scenic stretches of coastline. The route has multiple points if interest, including South Africa's most southern point and the wine regions in Stellenbosch. This stretch of coastline is also home to large colonies of South African penguins, which reside at Maggie's Bay and Boulder point.

Hello! We met quite a few solo female travellers in the Stans, and all of them said they felt safe. Everyone on the trains were very friendly, especially when we travelled third class. I hope that helps. 🙏

Just found your channel! I did the border crossing as well (last April so similar time). However, it was due to a flight having to land in Eastern Turkey we had to get a coach across the border!

My first trip up Sani in 1979 and many times since. There were only gravel roads and the pass itself followed a slightly different and steeper route in the 70/80's. By the way, it is pronounced "Lesoothoo" with an emphasis on the "H".
Apparently they are going to tarmac the actual pass this year too. The tour guides we spoke to were disappointed as less people will rely on them. Appreciate the tip. I bet your trip in the 70s was wild!
They have been talking about tarring for years, the opposite view is it will facilitate trade between the two countries and uplift the local Basotho in the eastern part of the country. My fastest time up the pass (from border post to border post) was 9 min 58 sec during 1982 Roof of Africa. My slowest time was 42 minutes on a Vespa scooter in 1987. Around '87-'90 I rode a Honda 500 to the Thabana Ntlenyana peak about 2km north of Sani (tallest peak in Africa south of the equator). Hope you have fun in Southern Africa!@@davidandchloe
