To everyone commenting on the brush he uses on his paint, I had the same reaction at first. Then when he started using it I could tell that it was a "window brush". It has extremely soft bristles and won't scratch rue paint. Ever use a snow bush on an ice scraper to brush off your car? The brush he is using is 1000 times softer than that is.
Meguiars Ultimate Wheel Cleaner...same as the Iron X. Only $8 at Walmart. PH balanced, works great for those small rust spots and rims. Turns purlpe/red when its oxidizing the metal. Rinse off with no damage to paint, rims or your hands. Yes, it has a smell as it "eats" the iron from wheels or paint. It rinses off. Get some.
Thank you works really well, but I use a bug/sponge rather than a brush. Excellent product that removed all the little rust spots off my new white Altima. Thanks for posting!!!
Worked great on my white Santa Fe! Rust spots all gone! Used a soft toothbrush though. No need for a large brush. Will be following up with wax and waxing more often.
works 100% I'm 62 and never seen this shit until I got my white truck, I about shit when I saw this crap all over my new truck. I used a nylon crochet kitchen hand scrubber, worked great, ty
great video! so glad you tried things before me. This is what you tube is all about. I choose yo use a micro fiber cloth but I can see you didnt scratch your clear coat with that brush. Yea it looked dingy too. Your brave for that one. Thanks for the info!
Thank you for posting this video. This is a work truck, as I also have. I won;t use the brush on my wife's new car but I want to get the (yearly) job over with so I also use a brush. As to the cause, although it is in the line of fire of the front brakes (nothing in the front fender) I can't rationalize it is hot brake dust. Hot particles would hit my slightly protruding rear fender well and be it the worst but this is not the case. Why is the tailgate just as bad as the other affected areas--Could it be particles from pads or rotor attaching the vehicle during wet weather. In my view the particles attach the ultra thin clear coat and rust while on the surface etching into the clear coat. The road salt helping it along. Their are some car manufacturers who make the clear coating impervious to this rusting issue.
If that were a black truck you would see the scratches from the brush, bad idea the thinner removes your clear coat, take the time and use the clay bar or pay someone or get proper tools adapters for a drill and so on

I use quick detail spray and a Mr. Clean foam sponge. The spots come off easily. Then I follow up with a spray wax. Works great.

geez I would never touch my paint with that brush
Some .brushes are very soft!
@@laragreene8328 still, don’t use it.
@@laragreene8328 that type of brush can be great for the wheels though.

claybar is tedious but you do it a spot at a time and wax, eventually you'll get them all without too much effort
I tried to clay bar mine and it won't budge
Great way to scratch paint on a car.

Clay bar isn't getting the rust off for me
Props! 💯💪
Anything in the UK as good as this?
use alloy wheel cleaner iron remover works in minutes!
Tried Iron X. Didn't get it off for me. It's like baked on
did he just call that brush clean? LMFAO
What if my car is grey-silver !?!
You don't RUB in circles
Guys it's a work truck, I doubt he gives a fuck if it has little fine scratches on off a brush lmao
Just buy the iron x and skip the Starbucks for a week. Lol
Or use Eagle One Black-PlastiCoat Wheel cleaner, very reasonably priced!
The detailer tried Iron-X. Didn't work on my brand new charger for baked on brake dust
