Don't be fooled! These cheap pedals have some MAJOR ISSUES!

- Cheap knockoff Rockbros pedals versus the original One Up composite pedals. These pedals look the same, but I can assure they are not!!!
Now I'm all about finding a good price on a set of mountain bike pedals, and I've seen guys like Seth from Berm Peak test and ride knockoff pedals with no issues. But that's where todays video gets interesting, because I found some MAJOR problems with these cheap knockoff pedals.
While searching for the perfect set of pedals for my mountain bike I found the One Up composite pedals, but I also came across a very similar looking set of pedals made by Rockbros. When you look at them online you don't immediately notice any major differences:
And the one up pedals are actually on sale right now FOR JUST UNDER $40, but like any respectable Chinese knockoff brand, Rockbros offers there version of the one up pedal for an even cheaper price of less than $25.
But it's obvious that they stole the design from the one up pedals. Maybe they purchased a set and scanned them. Maybe they used a Chinese spy balloon (look up, hide pedals etc,).
Well I wanted to get to the bottom of this, and figure out:
What's the really difference between these two pedals?
And how are they offering these Rockbros pedals for so cheap?
And I started to notice some major differences right out of the box. Watch the full video to find out...

Cheap pedals breaking: "Trash, just as I thought!"
Brand name pedals breaking: "Must be a bad batch."
Could just be a bad batch. A lot of people like them.
@@JaredHoff loads of ppl has no issues with rockbros either, some riding them for years. Also my two cents: make shorter videos, keep it informative and flowy, 14 minutes of saying "rockbros pedals" drive humanoids crazy
I've been running rock bros for years as my feet are a size 15. I mean 7 years. Never had them worn out or break. Only one bend and it was a real bad crash. It could be hit it miss. But I've purchased many as we are a big biking family.
Definitely could be a one off set I got. I’m glad you’ve had good results with them. I tried to smack the rock with the same force on the One Up pedals, and was just really surprised that no pins snapped.
You can definitely see the difference in quality when you pull the pedals apart, but if they still last for a long time then maybe that doesn’t matter as much as I think it might 🤷🏼♂️
Not a one off loads on CZcams running them for years with no issues! Watched loads video's on them now and the flatter skinny type also ment to be great so makes you wonder! I'm going to purchase a set and see for myself best way
@@AFV85huh
For the price, the rock pros on sale are a no-brainer. Just take them apart and re grease them with marine grease or lucas red and tacky. Problem solved. As for durability, I can live with a 75% life span vs the one up's.
I had these one up's for 5 years, serviced them yearly. The bearing and bushings still seased and granaded during a group ride, my right pedal litterly flew off the spindle. This happened last week on a steep climb.
This is the problem with the bike industry. To many little components costing 2 to 10 times what they should be. Especially trivial stuff like grips and peddles.
Rock pros and other knock off companies take iconic designs from crank bros, one up, race face etc, and provide them at a fraction of the cost. Especially aluminum peddles that cost 150 on average while the knock off go for under 50.
Currently I bought another Chinese knock off brand off amazon for 25 Canadian. It's a nylon version of race faces aluminum affect peddle. We will see how they do till one up gets there blues back in stock.
The good thing is one up is slowly lowering there proce on these peddles. They used to be 69 Canadian, now they are down to 59 regular.
I understand costs of RND, but when you have the same product for more then 3 years and have covered these costs 10 fold. It's time to lower the regular price drastically. Especially on small components that wear out regularly like grips, peddles, chain rings, chains, and cassettes.
Definitely Rockbros pedals are quite good for the price.
A lot of people like them
I use these cheap pedals and after a 1,000 miles of gravel riding they’re still holding up 🤔
Perhaps if you’re riding trails or going downhill you’ll wear them down faster
These would be fine for gravel 👍
I use Pedaling Innovations catalyst pedals for support. I use the long pins for grip, in snow that's a must.
Aston MTB did a video comparing the grip on a normal pedal to them side by side on the bike.
Heck yeah! Thanks for taking time to comment 👍🏻
Great info, I've bought 2 rockbros pedals in the past but this comparison has totally got me thinking towards investing in a reputable brand next time, thanks for sharing!
Glad to have helped. I know a lot of people still ride Rockbros, but I won’t ride them anymore.
Great review - subscribed. I'm a beginner rider of a recumbent bike; legs are stretched out in front of you. I don't like the clipless idea, and I've heard others say the MTB pedals with pins will help prevent recumbent bike "leg suck", where your foot slips off the pedal. Can I ask some really simple questions? Can you use the One Up pedals with normal running shoes? Do you feel the pins through the soles of the shoes? Do they damage shoes after a while? Finally, my wife has a 7 1/2 shoe; are the One Up's too big for her? Many thanks!
Thank you for subscribing 👍🏻 I’ll do my best to answer:
Running shoes can work short term, but the soles aren’t stiff enough and they will wear out and get chewed up by the metal pins.
One up pedals should work fine for 7 1/2 shoe, but there are so many good options and it’s such a personal preference.
These are my favorite shoes. Ugly, but I love 5 ten shoes.

@@JaredHoff Thanks Jared, I've been enjoying your other vids - I like how you get right to the point and don't waste time! Learning quickly . . .
I had my one up composites which I have used almost every day for about a year the other day just to see if they needed to be serviced. When I pulled out the spindle it looked exactly the same as the brand new on in this video. The grease had no dirt in it, there no signs of dirt or any moisture inside the pedal. I was thoroughly impressed and decided to just reassemble the pedal without doing any service to it. For the price the one up is hard to beat. I’m sure that other name brand pedals such as race face Chester would hold up similarly.
Definitely 👍 I’m currently working on a video reviewing aluminum pedals. So good to hear long term reviews like this.
@@JaredHoff yeah it’s pretty great
Would you know the comparison between the one up vs Crankbrothers Stamp pedels ?
Both are great pedals. I like the large platform on the crankbros, but the one up pedals have a great shape and pin placement. It really allows you to get max grip and yet still be able to adjust your foot placement when you need to.
Hi do you locate the Blackspire brand on pedals, is it good?
I’ve never heard of Blackspire
Don't get those Rockbros pedals unless your life isn't that valuable to you. I bought them as a stop gap pedal to get me to the end of the season a couple years ago and the right pedal spindle snapped in half as I was going uphill. Had it been while I was going downhill, yikes.
Never again. There's some things you can maybe save some money on, pedals, helmets and handlebars shouldn't be one of them.
Totally agree with ya. Especially after doing this test 😬
Just an FYI I used the one up rebuild kit bearings to replace the bearings in my Rock BROS pedals. Unless they recently changed the bearing size the one up bearings do work. Keep in mind the though the igus bushing that comes in the one up kit will not work with the Rock BROS. Also the bearings in the one up kit were basically the same unshielded bearings used in the Rock BROS.
Buying the rebuild kit no longer makes sense though, this was during the pandemic when nothing was available. Now I'd never buy a $15 rebuild kit for $25 pedals.
Thanks for adding the info bro! These type of comments really help people who are trying to make the right decisions 👍🏻
@@HindsightFPV 😂 I hear ya. I think that’s one of the things people usually say about Rockbros. No rebuild kit needed,,, just buy a new set.
I have a pair of aluminum rockbros pedals. I have used them for two years with no issues. I also have a Chinese brand called excelsior which are a knock off of the raceface Chester. I used them for a few months and broke or bent several pins. I replaced them with the Chesters and have ride them for several months with no issues whatsoever.
I honestly think it’s hit or miss. The Chinese companies do no R&D and pump these out quick, so some get lucky but I definitely noticed the difference
got the rockbros. So far, no problems but i replaced longer pins on arrival. Thanks for the heads up on the crappy stock pins.
👍
Dudes first complaint he says was a red flag was the box was broken.....😅bro that's from the delivery service not the company or the pedal itself😂
You’re not wrong. However, quality of the box and the cheap cardboard it was made of also helped.
On the opposite end of the spectrum,,, when you order PNW components it comes in a fancy high-end leather case king box that’s never broken. 😁
I have used both. For recreational MTB you will not find any major difference. Both will last a long time without any maintenance. I can`t comment on the performance on more aggressive terrain.
Definitely both good for most riding. I think as surprised how the pins sheered off the Rockbros though. I like to push my limits and ride the gnarliest trail I can find, so it’s One Ups for me 👍🏻
Considering i'd been lazy to change my ancient (with bike delivered) Wellgo lu-a54 for the last ... a lot more than 10 years, until one of the bearings finally gave up the ghost and that the first pair of composites went bust inside a year... there's not much to be said about composite anything in a pedal. And they were proper, from a respectable brand, bought from one of their dealers (not gonna name and shame, i understand that not all experiences are the same). As far as i'm concerned, aluminium is the way to go, composite or plastic... basically the same as far as my riding tendencies go. Without the crank arms protecting them (mine originally came with 12mm of meat from the outer part of the thread and i welded an extra pad when they began wearing down) i feel they would've broken even faster. Composite materials are great... just not for pedals... well, maybe for casual riding, like going to a park and riding down a flat trail/commuting.
👍
Excellent content. Keep up the good work. This channel should take off.
Thank you 🤙🏻 that means a lot 👍🏻
I have had both. The rock bros held up to 2 seasons of downhill park riding until I bent the spindle on a weird crash. With the one ups down to $40 again I’d keep buying those.
Definitely a good sale price on the One Ups. I think the benefit to these cheap knockoff pedals is that they drive the prices down or at least they seam to have with the one up sale
The rock bros have at the screw end extra thread showing thats the only complaint I've heard of with them having the longer spindle for the size of the shell peddle, all depends on if your just commuting or mucking around to really thrashing it im still in 2 mind's with them there built like old oddessey peddles and they were amazing! Just older system thats being used on them i think
For commuting and such, these pedals are perfect 👍
One up, pnw components or stamp 1? Thanks bro
I like all three, but One Up takes the cake 🍰
I have a set of ROCKBROS "aluminum wide platform" that I bought during a Black Friday Amazon sale. They looked sturdy and beefy and with the deal they were just around $30. Granted, I put them on my back up bike so I only have about 10 rides or so on them. I'm sure I clipped them on the rocks a few times and they seem to be holding up OK. You have me very concerned about the pins now, lol! I don't think any of mine sheared off yet. Dang, what are they made out of...butter??!
They are definitely made out of inferior materials. I’m a military guy with a lot of intel on how china operates. They copy reputable brands, skip the product testing and engineering, and offer you a discount price (which is only discounted because they copied the original),,, sorry for venting. Some people ride the Rockbros with no issues, but I don’t 🤷🏼♂️
I wouldn't worry about the pins shearing off unless you're rock striking continuously. I ride AZ rocky tech and they shear off just as often as my race face pedal pins. I usually have to replace a few a year and the AZ riding season is 12 months long.
the pins could be zinc. Cheap and very easy to work but soft
I just put a set of Rockbros on my peddle kayak. Given that this service will be much less rigorous than on a mountain bike, I expect them to work out well.
Heck yeah! Got to do what’s right for you, and can’t beat the price.
You should try the Kona wah wah 2 composite pedal, great platform with lots of grip
I’ll look into that 🤔 👍🏻
I have those same One Up Pedals and also a set of Rock Bros. The One Up have stayed and I don't use the Rock Bros at all anymore. The Rock Bros got pretty chewed up quickly. Wow the pins breaking on yours is really concerning! The One Up feels sturdier, they're still on my Spark after more than a year with no issue. Same orange color and everything! I'd recommend them. Another good one is the Race Face Chester Pedal, I gave those to someone else though. DMR Vault Pedals are on my Switchblade as I ride that bike the most.
Heck yeah! Some great pedals options there. It’s hard to fully explain the difference, but you can definitely tell the One Ups are made better. And those pins snapping was crazy 😯
@@JaredHoff Yup. Everything is getting cloned these days - guitar pedals, colognes, clothes. Usually the originals are where the quality is at.
I am assuming the Rock Bros pedals would be just fine for gravel cycling.
Most definitely 👍🏻
Im riding on a set of crankbrothers stamp 7 large red splater limited edition loving those padals you have tons of grip and amazing suport en suppelness
I’ve had those pedals before, but not the splatter. Such a cool looking pedal 🤘🏻
That sheering off is pretty crazy ... had that happen recently to my composite PNW Components as well. Was pretty disappointed, cuz I love PNW. I also realized that the creaks I'd been hearing were coming from those pedals. Replaced with my old aluminum cheapos and the creaking is gone. So ... all in all, I'm in the market for new pedals. And wonder if ANY of these composite pedals are good for the durability of the pins and the creak-factor. Maybe I just got unlucky with my PNW purchase. 🤷♂
Definitely could be a bad batch. I’ve been running my PNW composites for a few rides now and smacked a rock hard yesterday. No issues 👍 Love ‘em
@@JaredHoff And no creaking huh? This was pretty disappointing, TBH. I'm typically a PNW fanboy, so I'm sorta not sure what to do with myself. LOL
I'm sure the plastic on your Taiwanese pedals is TOTALLY better than the plastic on Chinese pedals, great video. PS, they made your fancy carbon bike in China and you still ride it.
We all have to do what’s right for us and our wallets, BUT these pedals are definitely not the same. Quality control! I’d rather spend a little more to make sure I’m getting a good quality product.
@@JaredHoff Bro they are plastic pedals, you ride them until the bearings feel rough and then you toss them. Too much thought put into this.
@@JaredHoff I'm all for not riding Chinese crap, but at least be consistent. Your entire bike is literally Chinese crap.
Just bought some RockBros pedals and grips for a cruiser-style city bike. I'm sure they'll be fine for that. I wouldn't put them on an expensive bike.
Rockbros are perfect for that type of bike 👍🏻 great price, and look good.
The pins are simple little allen bolts you can get at home depot for either pedal. I have tried various ebay/Amazon pedals over the years with multiple bikes with out issue. I have bent pins on rocks though. But pedal and the spindles have held up fine. And while you mention materials the pedals them selves are made of, you dont actually know what either is made of.They are all made in the same country. The One Ups may have a nicer mold but you cant tell that under your shoe. And after you struck a rock they both were scraped up. Ill pay money for a good fork and tires. But pedals..they get scraped up pretty quick.. Ill save there :)
I hear ya 👍🏻 I’ll stick with the One Up pedals, but I know others have had good results with knockoff pedals as well
@@JaredHoff if you ride here in AZ it doesn't matter if you ride Rock BROS or a $150 pedal because the rocky tech trails around here will eventually bend or snap every pin off given the opportunity. You can get 100 replacement pins on Amazon for around $10,theres a response they make them replaceable.
I have had these same pedals on my full suspension rig, as well as my hardtail with ZERO issues. It sounds like you are quite biased in your review. Even your tone of voice changes when you speak about the ROCK BROS pedals. I'm sure the One Up pedals are bad ass, but the ROCK BROS are pretty damn good, too. Just my opinion, as it is yours. Thanks. The spy balloon was awesome! LOL
You’re right 👍🏻 I did film this after doing the test, and already knowing the results I had so definitely biased. I know a lot of people have used these pedals and like them. But I’m definitely sticking my with the One Up pedals. Spy balloon 😂
@@JaredHoff Thaks for your honesty, man! Good review! Keep riding!
For the money grab ROCK BROS people.
Listening to this bloke I'd choose the Rock bros purely because its so obvious hes just waffling on as much as he can that rock bros are terrible when really they're basically the exact same thing as oneups for half the price, oh the packaging came damaged must be a terrible quality pedal 😂
Did you watch the whole video and see the quality difference? I agree that a lot of riders would be fine with Rockbros, but I ride pretty hard so having good quality parts is what I need. But to each their own 👍
Aren't the "pins" just M3 hex head screws?
Not all pins are equal. They are different lengths, width and made from different metal.
Great comparison and great test on these pedals, going for the official one up pedals.
Thank you! I’m definitely sticking with the One Up pedals as well 👍🏻
Good review…good video. Great work.
Thank you 🤙🏻 much appreciated 🤙🏻
I have the exact same rockbros on my hardtail, had them for a year on the full sus, and they are still holding up. Just had to service them once. They are good enough for an average rider, but I tell ya', I've done some abuse on the rockbros, and they are just good enough. Plastic pedal will break eventualy, even the name brand ones. I'll have to say, that I had some fooker before, and they are way better than the rockbross, three bearings inside and the plastic can take abuse.
PD. I have some Crank Brothers Stamp 2 on my full sus now, and I'm happy with them. But that's since my budget increased a couple of years ago. Before that, rockbross and fooker were just good enough.
I was really surprised to see no grease on the Rockbros bearings and nothing protecting it from water and such. But I’m glad they’ve worked for you 👍🏻 mountain biking is expensive. Definitely got to find deals where you can.
I'm using cheap pedals, like i have now is Ragusa cheap pedal. cheaper than RockBros. But in my opinion, if your taste of ride is more like enduro, downhill, trails. Then do not buy cheap pedals but the good quality pedals. But if your taste of ride is "ENDUROAD". ENDUROAD meanings an mtb biker who like riding bike in the national road. Cheap pedals is the best choice.
Definitely agree with you 👍
I bought two one up aluminium handlebars and two bash guards from a local shop and they all came in a clear plastic bag... I was thinking that they did that to save packaging, I also noticed the one up pedals are displayed on a wall with a simple cardboard card style label with zip ties. I was thinking "how about when you buy direct?" Here's my answer: different packaging...
*Some chinese pedals on Amazon have pins that look like torx heads, these ones are pretty resistant, I was bummed the thread of those pin didn't fit my favorite set, so I settled for the Chinesium crap and change them often to avoid failures 😂
Word 👍
This highlights some of the cost savings (lack of lube, cheaper molds, loctite) but there are no design flaws and the material is acceptable. Rockbros do a good job of finding a balance between absolute garbage and wayyyy overpriced brands coming from factories overseas. Often they use engineers and molds from the same factory producing S-Works stuff.
For sure! I’m riding the PNW Range composite pedals right now and liking those and not too overpriced
Really good video!
That you 👍🏻 that means a loy
2 sets of the cheaper pedals (with bigger axles that don't fall off) for the price of one - up. I'm sold thanks champ.
👍 it always comes down to personal preference. Got to do what’s right for you
This guy clearly wanted to hate these pedals, griping about threads and refined feel. Is he riding barefoot? These are going to get bashed into rocks and covered in mud. These are the only pedals I’ve ever run since I got into mountain biking 6 years ago and never an issue. If One Up, Race Face and others are gonna give you the China product they should also give you the China price.
i just toss anything better than stock save a bunch of money and im still pedaling !
I hear ya 👍
ROCK BROS are good just grease them when you purchase do maintance once in awhile. never have a issue.
I’ve heard a lot of people say the same thing. I just think it depends on the type of riding you’re doing.
1up composites are outstanding.
For sure 👍
Why are Rockbros knockoffs? Are they identical to 1up? Clearly not. Do they claim to be 1up? No. If they are similar, in color, Then are race orange pedals knockoffs? All companies make similar pedals, similar size, similar looks, why do you only call rock bros knockoffs? Now I’ve owned many bikes from lower end to s-works, currently have 3 pairs of 1up alloy pedals. Absolutely love ‘em. But one of my 1up pedals broke a spindle during a smash. Do I think 1up are bad quality? No. I also had rock bros before, absolutely love them too. I never broke my rock bros, so should I conclude that rockbros are better quality than 1up? With your logic, every smartphone after iPhone is an iPhone knockoff. I’m ranting because I happen to know some people who work at
Rockbros, they too try to deliver quality products while staying competitively priced. Anything wrong with that? Why do you have so much prejudice and hate for them? Because they are good and cheap?
Definitely didn’t make this video to offend anyone. Glad your friend at Rockbros is about making quality products 👍
@@JaredHoff I'll probably laugh at them too, there is always a balance between price and quality. If it was up to me to decide, changing to stronger pedal pins would definitely be a big jump in quality without increasing cost much. If they did upgrade to better pins in future, they probably need to thank your video for bringing it to their attention
@@JaredHoff by the way, I don't know if you heard about the story of the rise of Giant bicycles, the world's biggest bike manufacturer. When they made their 1st batch of bikes, they were all returned due to not meeting quality demands. Now what do they do with returned products? Sell to Africa or other poorer countries for cheap and recover some cost? They didn't. Instead, the owner put these bad quality bikes in the middle of a street, and complete crushed these bikes with a bulldozer. He publically announced that they will never make low quality bikes again, and later they became the world's biggest bike company
I think the one up is way better. 15 bucks is not worth it. Great video
For sure! Thanks bro 🤙🏻
Why would you need thread lock with aluminum into plastic, it’s not going to seize. I agree pay the manufacturer who does all the R&D.
The thread lock just keeps that dust cap snug. It doesn’t contact the spindle or bearing
Nah there's absolutely no need for thread lock on that end cap. 1. it's not detrimental to the performance of the pedal and 2. It's literally the same principle as a nylon lock nut. The threads on the aluminum cap have plenty of bite into the nylon. I've been in these pedals for almost 3 yr without issue.
Had smiliar pedals from mzyrh on aliexpress, three years of downhill abuse haven't serviced them or anything, held up fine lol and crashed three times
Heck yeah 👍🏻 always good to find a good price, and get something that holds up. I was really surprised at how the Rockbros pedal pins broke off so easily though. I’m definitely sticking with the One Ups
Dude they’re the same shit. All the pins snap off.
I stand by the comparison I did and seeing both pedals side-by-side. You definitely get what you pay for.
I have tmac pedals
Now can’t ride anything else 😂
Nice orange 🍊 parts 😂
All about that orange 😂 if I get another bike, it will have to match with the orange parts 👍🏻
Heard alot good and bad things about Rock bros just seen a set they have a carbon fiber axels wouldn't trust carbon axel peddles from a big brand lol
Oh man, I definitely would not buy carbon fiber axel pedals 😬 lol
Ironically, Rock Bros can't handle rocks.
😂 oh man, I missed the opportunity to add that pun
Rockbros is solid cheaper pedal..not bad for my riding style.. it's perfect for Xc dude......🤪
Awesome 👍 gotta do what’s right for you, and cheaper prices are a good thing.
Knock off now with the new and improved snap off pins.
Yup 😂
I had other rockbros pedals and they were horrible. I replaced them with aluminum sixpack pedals I bought at the shop at discount for only 10 or 20€ more than the rockbros because the model wasn't continued. It's now my favourite pedal ever. Reliable, has tons of grip and I feel good because I am supporting a local company that does really cool stuff. Sometimes a few bucks more is really worth it and less noticable in the wallet.
We germans say: buy cheap, pay twice.
Keep up the videos👍
But cheap pay twice for sure! My favorite pedals are a set of $180 Chromag Daggas, but I know that’s too much to spend on pedals. I think the One Up composites are as cheap as you need to go. I wish there was something they could do to stop Chinese companies from selling identical copies of there pedals that could potentially fail 😬
Rockbros that’s EMBARRASSING !
For sure!
good compare vedio
Thank you 👍🏻
Your conclusions are quite subjective to say the least. From the fact that Rockbros need hammer to remove spindle while 1up can be done by hand, you can also conclude that Rockbros have tighter seal unlike the cheap 1ups. While using cheap composite materials instead of alloy, still charging crazy prices compared to rockbros. I don’t mean to bash 1up, I love them. I just love rockbros pedals too. And reading the comments section, a lot of people actually like rockbros too. If you keep calling them knockoffs with no apparent legal evidence, they do have the right to bring legal action to you though. I don’t work for rockbros so I’m not speaking for them, I’m just speaking from a legal perspective
🤔 You don’t think they knocked off the one up design? Interesting 🧐
@@JaredHoff if you talk about similarities and "borrowed ideas", clearly they do seem similar to one-up. thing is that, Dior and Prada copies Chanel, Samsung and Apple copy each other's ideas too. Would you call them knockoffs of eachother? Probably not. Why? because they are big names. Idea borrowing happens in the bike industry too, like most enduro frames are going the high pivot route. Is there anything wrong with that? The point I'm trying to make is that Rockbros isn't counterfeiting other brands, they didn't call themselves "TwoUp" either. In that sense, Knock-off is quite a strong word. Your video is quite comprehensive in pointing out the weaknesses of Rockbros, which could help them make better products in future. You do see that their market proposition right now is price, which is significantly cheaper than north american composite pedals. so getting the most bang for the buck would be their main concern.
@@JaredHoff a few hundred years ago, German engineering were cheap copies of British engineering, fast forward a few hundred years, german engineering is seen as great quality. in the bike industry, Japan copied US, then Taiwan copied Japan, then China copied Taiwan. a few decades ago Taiwan was the cheap knockoff makers, as of now, so many global bike brands have their R&D and manufacturing in Taiwan, and China is trying to catching up too. Chinese people don't like knockoffs either, nobody does. it's just a developmental process.
@@JaredHoff speaking about the spy balloons, that's a communist dictator's political act, not an act that has anything with rockbros. not every German was a nazi, not every Chinese is a communist. You are a good bike youtuber, not a political channel. You may be surprised to see how many chinese people hate the communist dictatorship more so than you guys in the US. Yes they spy way more than just using balloons. they use spys to infiltrate and steal US technology, which is not knockoff, that's complete stealing. they have recon bases in cuba just to "surveillence" US. I don't even wanna begin talking about politics. If we start talking about politics, there are so many channels out there just for that. Your channel is bike related and your viewers watch you for bike related contents, so I'm sure they'd wanna see you keep it that way.
Rockbros have bad batchs just like any other us branded us pedal
You have to look at the pedals side-to-side. You’re definitely getting what you pay for
and don't buy rockbros mtb gloves, these are crab..
I hear ya. I’ve been riding with some Tasco winter gloves and loving ‘em
This is clearly a biased review lol! You must be employed or sponsored in some way by one-up
Has a consumer, it’s good to see these type of reviews. I’m not a Mountain biker, but I do a lot of cycling, but I’m looking to get some flat pedals for commuting. I’ve seen a lot of rockbros stuff online, I need to be aware of the pitfalls of paying for cheap knockoff.
Well done
Glad to have helped. You can see companies like One Up having to offer sales to keep up with Rockbros, so maybe these knockoff brands help drive prices down. But you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to cheap Chinese products.
@@JaredHoff why I liked your video is the process of looking how they are made, because to look at them you would think there the same. So for me not knowing I would pick the cheaper set. But you changed my mind.
Jesus... the music... i can barely hear you
Thank you for the feedback. I’ve been trying to improve on that in my recent videos 👍
one sent from china, of course its going to dinged up... and off the bat you judged a book by its covers.. i guess you rather pay for box than the product
After reviewing pedals a bunch and getting to know the guys making pedals there’s a huge difference between China made and American mountain bikers who make these components for us to ride. Guys like Trail One and PNW really care about the quality control and making a product they can be proud of. But at the end of the day,,, do what makes you stoked to ride bro!
Incompetent review and oneUp oriented judgement. There is a Quality-for-the-Price. That's it.
I will politely disagree with you my friend. Have a great day 👍🏻
Should not buy the knock offs because of the fact that they are so lazy and talentless, they have to almost copy the original exactly. How pathetic. Its a pedal, you can't even draw up your own shape? I don't know why people buy this crap. You are taking your money away from the company that actually designed a good product for you, and giving it to idiots that have done 0 work and are thieves. What a trash company.
A little harsh but I agree 👍
