A dollar store buy I've made extensive use of is getting one of those foam pool noodles, cutting it in half and duct-taping either half to the inner sides of my kayak where my knees touch. This allows for padding and extra leverage. The "legit" side pads at the store run for $20-50 bucks. I've had the same noodle taped into my cockpit for two seasons at $1 buck. 🤙

While you are there look for a spray bottle. You can put water and vinegar into the bottle to wash the fish smell off your hand after dealing with a cuda.

@@AliexFolgueira No, any other spray lubricant is better. PB Blaster, Silicon Spray, or anything other than WD-40.
@@AliexFolgueira Sure, go ahead and WD-40 if you like cracked dried out seals, and gummed up moving parts. I for one would would never use WD-40, I've been a mechanic for 30 years, and I can tell you fosho, that WD-40 is the worst thing to put on anything you own.
