  • Rain, wind, snow and below zero temps. Hiking in Tasmania's Mt Field National Park we had a lot of different weather conditions packed into two days. We love trekking in Tassie in winter.

      Don't wait. You can see some great parts of Mt Field in a day trip from Hobart.

    Great video, any tips for Beginners doing this trek?

      Hi Dwhite White. Mt field can be an awesome spot for beginners starting out on their first mountain treks. It can be a very different place in the summer compared to the winter but regardless; I would recommend going prepared for bad weather. Also make sure you have a means to call for help if needed. There is some phone coverage on the highest ranges but its not reliable.
