Just unpacked my dulcimer after 10 years of storage and not playing! I'm wondering about the strings. Would you recommend changing them to new strings? It was dry storage and never opened during that time. Also, how does a DAA vs DAD tuning differ for beginners? Does each produce a different sound and are certain songs needed to be tuned to either style?
