News report years later here: • Waylon Jennings walks ...
Waylon Jennings is the last person you'd like to delay
Who could really sit through any amount of Dr. Laura honestly? Waylon was a BOSS
She's an absolute pill, good lord 😩
And Dr Laura wasn't on for 7 minutes. She went on at approximately 4 minutes, and stayed on until approximately 28 minutes. I don't know what the tentative plan for Waylon was, but if he was going to sing a song, talk about specific topics, I sure this stuff is pre timed, and once he figured out that there simply wasn't enough time, got up and split. Good for him!
I gave up hope after 5 minuted of her, shes a disaster
I remember when this episode was on. You just don't delay Waylon Jennings.
I loved watching this show in the late 90's. Tom made whomever he had on sound interesting. I kept hoping that he would have another show, but it never happened. So glad to watch these again.
One of the many reasons why Waylon was the King of Outlaw Country......
Tom handled it like a pro. I loved the bump shot going to break of the empty chair.
Tom Snyder was the Late-Night TV Talker's G.O.A.T.
Dr. Laura wasn’t popular after this
keep TS coming, love this. Thank you Don
Don, I would give this two thumbs up if CZcams would let me. Please keep these TS classics coming!
You just don't delay Waylon Jennings..........
The six minutes of call-ins at the end of the show were more interesting than Dr. Laura.
Dr. Laura had a lot of good things to say about everything and she should have had her own segment on the show. She went on for more than 30 minutes. Good for Waylon for leaving. I would have left too.
I don’t think their was enough time for all those questions. Tom didn’t realize he only had 10 minutes left
They can put a man on the moon but they can't make dentures that don't click.
There is no doubt that Mr. Snyder was, in many ways, ahead of his Time. He was a remarkable Broadcaster, and truly a terrific gentleman. Thank-You for sharing.
Funny how you remember things. I saw this broadcast.
Don't mess with TEXAS!! tom.
This episode was bull because they didn't let waylon jennings go on because they kept on talking to stupid dr. Laura
Yikes
33:00 😅
Turning a negative , into a positive . Alright Tom.
The Bee Gees walked out of their interview from Clive Anderson the year before in 1997.
for a different reason though. no sense of humour either. who needs them fckn squeaky jesus and the ugly spud twins. tainted their big hits seeing them being all precious.
Can you imagine what these no talent losers on late night would do in the same situation?! Tom was always a professional and a class act
Don, I see the pixelation/artifacts dancing around in the background in darker areas. Is it due to lossy compression? I guess there'd be loss or blurring to try and correct it any more in the digitization process.
Addressed in another thread here.
Right. Read it all. Saves for time. Expediency means more videos for us. Ill take that as a trade anytime. Audio/video nerds like to yap about this kind of thing. Thought I might help. If not, continue as always. Your video and sound quality are as good as I've seen for this. Its a treat to see it in broadcast quality.
In spite of Waylon walking off, the show turned out okay with the callers, even though you can tell from Tom’s eyes he’s torqued about it.
Good thing I’ve got my colortini for this one.
Edit: Why did he walk out?
Explained by Tom in the broadcast and in the video linked in the description.
The lady basically used up all his airtime and he got sick of waiting
How many of the Tom Snyder late late show do you have
All of them, though one or two are incomplete due to news bulletins.
@@dongiller what dates ?
@@philipciccone7280 October 4, 1995 (Orson Bean, Fran Cook); July 17, 1996 (have Kevin Pollak, missing part of Mary Karr and all of Harry Knowles); and September 13, 1996 (Lea Thompson, David Brudnoy). Plus several I had marked as “redo” when repeated. Maybe poor cable reception at the time. Not sure until I pull out the tape to digitize.
@@dongiller Do you have the October 3, 1995 episode in reaction to the OJ verdict?
@@1TexasTV I taped every LLS but have digitized very little. And once I do, I’m no longer able to upload additional Dave-owned or -licensed content.
Couldn’t one of TS’ producers have tracked Dr Laura down in the parking lot & hurry her back into the studio for a couple more segments?
I think she already got an extra segment out of it, with Waylon leaving after the first segment.
Goes against propriety 🤷🏻♀️
track her down in the car park? it's tv . . . not a mob hit, mmmkay?
@moaning Stop moaning; it’s a figure of speech!..
Don, what a delight!
6:50 dr laura driving me mad however 😅😩
Dr. Laura Ennui
