*Tom Snyder was the ultimate conversationalist interviewer. An irreplaceable legend of broadcasting.*
Great storyteller, a witty guy. Unlike most late night hosts, he was never a stand up comic. He was a newscaster in NY, LA and Philly.
Thanks, Kevin. I've been enjoying Tom. Back in his day, my schedule never allowed me to see & hear the man. But thanks to you, now I can. And from a quality standpoint, Tom's caliber of expertise dwarfs today's latenight.
My favorite interviewer. Of all time!
MISS TOM!!!
I would like to see the documentary from '74 with Snyder and Walters. There was an interview they did back in '81 that was great.
Miss You Tom 🌈 R.I.P.
I Love with all my heart. So nice to hear that. God bless them.
Love this interview. Never knew Tom smoked too!!!
I miss you tom
Barbara is looking good here at 65!
Two Broadcast Legends sitting down together one last time. Epic!
Do you know where I can watch Tom Snyder’s interview with Barbara Walters, Tomorrow Show, S1 E60: January 28, 1974?
I MISS BARBARA WALTERS BEING ON TV! LEGEND!!!
BW WAS A LEGEND IN HER OWN MIND
With all the admiration that these two had, I wonder if Barbara would have been the addition to “Tomorrow: Coast to Coast” had she not left for ABC News. Obviously there’s a few years between both events. But, if Barbara would have been there instead of Rona, would the show have done better?
which local station is this from?
Channel 11, Tacoma/Seattle.
@@Rob_Kates And KSTW was the CBS Station from March of '95-97 before KIRO returned to CBS in '97. KSTW carried Tom Snyder in early '95 because KIRO was losing the CBS affiliate and became an affiliate of UPN.
I wonder what Tom looked like on extremely windy days.
I imagine he always wore a hat.
I must add that when I hear Barbara I think of Gilda's impersonation on SNL - "BabaWawa." (:^D Her diction is lousy. Anyone hard of hearing would struggle, big time.
She does her "Miwton Bul" impression here.
In those days, Barbara could not say her Rs and Tom Brokaw could not say his Ls. NBC News was home of the speech therapy failures.
