As a survivor of the central pens on the Leppings Lane terrace at Hillsborough I know first hand exactly what happened that day. I gave a statement to West Midlands police and as a result was told I would need to give evidence at the Coroner's inquest, my statement no longer exists so I can confidently say I have first hand knowledge of a cover up! The behaviour of the print media in printing lies went a long way in facilitating that cover up with headlines like "THE TRUTH" in The Sun and people should never forget that, never forget that most importantly people died, but also many survived and have suffered in silence for decades and for some that suffering become too much and they have taken their own lives! The behaviour of the establishment, the judicial system and the media should never be forgotten! DO NOT BUY THE SUN!!

You never hear of the Ibrox stadium disaster which killed 66 Rangers fans because the authorities took responsibility for their deaths. The Hillsborough families have had 30 years of struggle to get the truth and justice. Hopefully they can rest in peace finally.

It’s coming up to 30 years since that fateful day! Everything, inquests etc take such a long time must be torturous for the families and friends affected

  • @TommyBahama84

Im a Liverpudlian and a Red. I fully support the families' fight for justice and vindication. However, I can't bear listening to the likes of Peter Hooton, Brian Reade, Tony Evans and Richie Greaves going on and on about that terrible day - same old mouths thriving off it. Liverpool as a city and a football club needs to stand up and look to the future and take it's place.
