I appreciate your channel and everything you bring to it. I am intently listening to your videos and appreciate the angle to the Quran you bring.
I have always had a hard time reconciling many Hadith with the Quran and it's message.
People in the comment section calling you a bunch of names and accuse you of many things are not people of Aql. They are comfortable parroting what they hear but put no critical thought into what they are taught. To some the intellect is something which needs to be ignored and not utilized when it comes to Deen.
Muslims need to be better at being open minded and accepting of the opinions of others without using slander of labels.
I appreciate you for sure.

One sitting, pen and notebook. I have been schooled yet again. So many "WOW" moments especially in this episode. Fully understand your "emotional moments" in this episode in particular. That forbearing interaction between Zechariah and Maryam (ALLAH bpwt), came across beautifully, Alhamdulillah. I concur with your rationality concerning the forbearance of our beloved Naby(pbuh) towards Ayesha (ra). It fits so perfectly with his character.

Just started...not a shock to me after the last segment. I went back and re-read the exiting translations both in surah Maryam and al-Imran. Slept over and thought again. I guess some other listeners have similar thoughts and questions....the narrative will diverge significantly....May Allah guide us and help us seek constantly a better insight and understanding.

THEY LOOK MORE THAN LOST. Yet they are soo ARROGANT to acknowledge that they're wrong.. it's the unthinkable that has happened to the ummah and to the Deenul'Haqq of Allah. Sometimes I also read tafseer from various interpretors and highlight and mark the commentaries that seem way off and sometimes may find subtle differences. I think that in any case it helps you think and get to know how other people understood. I still respect all of them for their sincere efforts. That doesn't mean I agree with them totally. May appreciate some explanations here or there.
This channel provides a completely new perspective. At least it is new as at the moment we are not aware of any similar methodology. Who knows, a lot written material was destroyed and some of it may have been corrupted over the years plus there may be numerous other reasons. However, cannot ignore contemplating and following sincere new approaches.
Am I on Dr Hanny's bandwagon? No, I am not. I am on my own small wagon, but following Dr Hanny. I may check other wagons and take a detour, but I have to drive my own wagon while seeking my destination, InshaAllah.....😀

@@MarvelousQuran So you fix everything your problems by changing the whole history of Arabs legends Jewish legends apocryphal Christian scriptures myths in the Qur'an ignoring Muhammad and the Arabian culture of jinn and change the interpretations to fix Muhammad not knowing the difference between real history and Christian made up stories and Jewish legends made up stories; Arabian legends, this won't fix your problems if the jinn were people and not Arabian myths fantasy than Muhammad would've never explained them as being real beings, your fix won't work.
The main problem is this story of Jesus supposedly speaking in the cradle is taken from Christian myths, it never happened, Jesus didn't explain to everyone including the High Priest that he will create birds from clay and raise the dead also explain what people have in their homes, Zacheriah was an important High Priest Mary brings Jesus to everyone including Zacheriah the Scribes and Priest would've believed Jesus was the Messiah and a true prophet because they witnessed this miracle the Scribes would've also witnessed this miracle Jesus speaking as a baby as soon as Jesus created the birds out of clay, everyone would've remembered his promise they wouldn't threaten a child because the child created birds out of clay on the Sabbath, children aren't punished for not observing the Sabbath this is silly and doesn't make any sense, once Jesus fulfilled his claims after speaking in the cradle the whole of Jerusalem and the surrounding nations would've followed him but he was rejected as a magician a false prophet, so this made up story doesn't follow logic it sounds incredible but when studied correctly it's illogical fantasy made up apocryphal stories Muhammad learned thinking they were true.
What would you think if you were only taught certain apocryphal Christian legends and Gnostic Gospels? if your Gospel was The Apocalypse of Peter and it says someone else was crucified and Jesus was watching so it was made to appear to the people that Jesus was crucified but it was someone else, you would think it was the truth and everyone else who rejects these teachings scriptures are deluded from the truth, so God must be keeping them away from the truth, you would say how come they don't understand their scriptures explain that Jesus wasn't killed nor crucified? because the Christians had 4 different Gospels, but Muhammad had no clue except when told he accused these Christians of forgeries that's why he's explaining apocryphal stories like Jesus speaking in the cradle and Zacheriah casting lots these stories were apocryphal myths.
Jesus still isn't God and that's a fact, your own your own journey and will believe what you want to believe and will try to fix everything that bothers you because it won't make any sense but the truth is the truth Muhammad wasn't a prophet, he was an ordinary man who claimed revelation just like every other false prophet whose knowledge was limited and their information was wrong, when studied anybody who's not brainwashed and still in wonderland will eventually figure it out with constant study and not continue to just cover mistakes problems fantasy up, like Solomon supposedly claiming he would torture his messenger bird or slice it's throat this is made up Jewish fantasy legends just like those imaginary jinn that disappeared after humanity advanced into this age now all of the sudden jinn don't exist anymore except in movies or fake videos just like possessions everything made up all of the sudden don't exist because they aren't true the Christians won't be able to keep lying to everyone claiming they are healing everyone eventually that game will stop also.

"Islam has been built in the mainstream with tafseer that is soild, with the efforts of great pious ulama. All new tafseers of today has been debated by the ulama and then buried in the graveyards of bathil." So wrote my friend when i tried to introduce the concept of rethinking the quranic interpretation and translation as made available by Dr Hany. It is not easy to move out of the comfort zone and face the existential crisis.

I have just watched the first 75% of the video and feel I had to comment. Amazing interpretation, totally different to what I have ever heard. I have kept an open mind throughout what I have watched and tried to control my inherent bias. Have to say that this is the truth and this type of scholarship is what is missing today, most of our leaders/scholars just repeat what others from hundreds of years ago have written, and say there is no room for reinterpretation or a new intepretation of these verses and this attitude has led to our demise and loss of honour as we have stiffulled our own growth and knowledge and we blame the west for our misserable lot in life. The real reason is that we stopped trying to understand and stopped relying on the word of God and instead chose to rely on the words of fallible men, and not even our contemporaries but people from a bygone age who were clearly limited by virtue of the age in which they were born. Brilliant stuff. Keep it up.

Indeed this is the most impactful segment of all the episodes. I had moments of rejoice, moment I cackled, moments my mouth dropped, literally I found myself snapping in agreement, I had moments of pure joy, moments I had tears in my eyes. This segment was indeed very powerful and enriching especially the 8 lesson, specifically regarding beating wives. I changed my view few years ago regarding Aishas' age of marriage. I laughed when Dr Hany mention about the private parts of the heaven and indeed it makes more sense. May Allah grant us the ability take this message and this understanding of the Quran to our children, parents and communities.
Dr Hani should present his knowledge to sheikh Muhammad al Yaqubi. He is of the bloodline of our beloved prophet. It's odd that this knowledge was given to Dr hany but not those of the prophets bloodline.
We also have evidence for jinns but Dr hany says Jews of old were the jinns Quran talks about. And apparently our prophet also was given another name. It was dhul qarnayn. Wow, just wow🌃
@@beasix9384 Does Allah gives knowledge according to people's bloodline? What's odd is Muslims not keeping an open eye and be welcoming to interpretations. I am not saying that all the things Dr Hany is saying in all his videos, I am agreeable to it. I do my own research and will accept the interpretation until I am satisfied with it because that will be between Allah and me. What I know is one word can have multiple meanings and the meanings vary depending on the context. Why don't you refute the process it took to Dr Hany to reach that interpretation? I am not being a spoke-person of Dr Hany but the least one can do is refute the process because if the process is wrong then so should be the results.

Alhamdulillah, Thank You Dr. Hani for confirming what I had been thinking was right in the last important messages of this video. I am just overwhelmed with joy as I have always felt that Islam is a religion that gives respect to people, equality and freedom but keeping the morality, like in Surah Al Nisa, Surah Al Mariam but mostly people were and are not ready to accept it. Even the stories of Prophet Muhammad (saw), he as a leader to our Ummah would never do anything against what is said in Quran and much more I want to say but I'm short of words and happy many of us could see the truth.

Dr hany in 1:57:10 you explained about the overlooking of the word "maa" should (and shouldn't acording to others) change the meaning. Recently I encountered the issue of quran variants, especially the so called parchment of sana'a palimpsest that is claimed (and promoted by the orientalist) of having additional words or different letters. What do you think about the issue?
The writing was claimed to be an erased manuscript of the parchment which replaced by the correct ones, the Uthmanic manuscript. Here we can just conclude that the erased manuscript is wrong and the story ends. But is there a further and firmer stance regarding this matter? if yes, what it is? Please tell us, thank you.

@Astroker 2 which basic knowledge are you asking for? Huh Ibn Kathirs guesswork? Who under his Tafsir of Baqara verse 29 enlighten us That the Earth earth🌍 rests on a huge fish 🐠 and when that fish moves; it causes earthquake?
Or Baghawy who stated that on the back of this fish there is a great rock whose thickness is greater than the width of the heavens and the earth and above this rock is a bull that has forty thousand horns. On the body of this bull are placed the seven earths and all that they contain? Is these the basic knowledge you are talking about? Or is that of Imam Suyudi who claimed that hour (Qiyama) will establish 14+ hundred years after Hijra? My Brother there are tons of guessworks and moonlight stories in contemporary our Hadithbooks and books of Tafsir. It only takes senses to sense it! We need a reform!
Jinns are Jews that followed the scripture of Musa and our prophet was dhul Qarnayn. As for what you mentioned, how do you know they weren't allegorical?
And given that we still have some of the prophets bloodline still on earth, such as sheikh Muhammad al Yaqubi, why wasn't this knowledge given to him instead of Dr hany?
Is the sheikh following lies and if so, why isn't he being guided to Dr hanys way?
Also, jinns are real entities that exist in parallel and we have evidence for then on countless videos from around the world..
Dr hany says jinns as per the old traditions of the Arabs don't exist.
This is where I got to say that he is absolutely wrong in this case..jinns are beings that exist on the higher dimensions and their world is superimposed onto ours..it's that simple.. but not according to Dr hany.
@@beasix9384 Talking about this one is supposed to have the bounties of Allah not this one is clearly a work of Shi’ites and unislamic. During the emergence of the prophethood of our beloved in Mecca, history documents that Abal Hakam (Aba-Jahal) and the other icons of the then Mecca used to wonder “why would Allah chooses Muhammad for this mission while we are much more powerful than him?” And at the end of the day it became obvious to everyone in Mecca that it was all due to his qualities (SAW) and Rahma of Allah [look Jumu’ah:4] that our Beloved was specifically given that mission by Allah.
And besides Dr Hany never declared prophethood. Your Al Yaqubi too never did. So why would you be on the seat of Allah Astagfirullah to judge or assume that’s how should Alllah do? And these implies that if it was your Al Yaqubi with such expositions, you would follow him blindly.
And for your information no body follow Dr Hany as he has never asked anyone to follow him. We only endeavour to follow Al Siradal Mustaqimm. If the evidence Hany presented never convinced you then fine. What convinced us might not necessarily convinced you. But speaking Mr this is supposed to be given Rahma of Allah is a height of ignorance with all due respect Sir.

I can't believe what I am hearing. I an elated. This is a treasure that has been eluding me for so long. I just cannot believe the old story of a virgin birth of Eassa. I have a feeling it has something to do with Zakaryia but afraid to ask anyone. There must be some mistake in translation. I hope this is the correct translation as it logical and make sense . I have just listened half way through I am taking a break as it already very late. In sha Allah hopping to continue tomorrow. Bless u all those who have been toiling on this project. Wowww… they belittled the prophets in their translations… but Alhamdolillah, that … we are alive at this time and that Allah chose us t to be part of those to whom ‘Jannat’ has been revealed... Now that we know the truth… we will live with it ‘in Jannat’ forever InshaAllah and those who are outside will never understand the beauty that Allah has kept from them…

Dr hany i want to ask you regarding this segment.
1.you said that the baby who speaks in the cradle as we assumed is yahya not isa as. But if you read surah imran from verses 45 to 46 just two verses its very clear and its mention with the name of isa as so i need the explanation of these two aayat.
Second you said that it was not the angel who comes in the form of man its zakariya and he blew something in the ear of maryam but its very clearly mentioned about ar rooh as far as i read the holy book rooh is consistently with jibreel as if you read the verses how adam created its the same verses used which used with maryam as in the quran.
At-Tahrim (66:12)
وَ مَرۡیَمَ ابۡنَتَ عِمۡرٰنَ الَّتِیۡۤ اَحۡصَنَتۡ فَرۡجَہَا فَنَفَخۡنَا فِیۡہِ مِنۡ رُّوۡحِنَا وَ صَدَّقَتۡ بِکَلِمٰتِ رَبِّہَا وَ کُتُبِہٖ وَ کَانَتۡ مِنَ الۡقٰنِتِیۡنَ
And [the example of] Mary, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity, so We blew into [her garment] through Our angel, and she believed in the words of her Lord and His scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient.
As-Sajda (32:9)
ثُمَّ سَوّٰٮہُ وَ نَفَخَ فِیۡہِ مِنۡ رُّوۡحِہٖ وَ جَعَلَ لَکُمُ السَّمۡعَ وَ الۡاَبۡصَارَ وَ الۡاَفۡـِٕدَۃَ ؕ قَلِیۡلًا مَّا تَشۡکُرُوۡنَ
Then He proportioned him and breathed into him through rooh(jibreel) and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.
If you read surah qadr its very clearly mention the difference between malaikah and rooh.
Al-Israa (17:85)
وَ یَسۡـَٔلُوۡنَکَ عَنِ الرُّوۡحِ ؕ قُلِ الرُّوۡحُ مِنۡ اَمۡرِ رَبِّیۡ وَ مَاۤ اُوۡتِیۡتُمۡ مِّنَ الۡعِلۡمِ اِلَّا قَلِیۡلًا
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little."
یہ لوگ تم سے روح کے متعلق پوچھتے ہیں کہو "یہ روح میرے رب کے حکم سے آتی ہے، مگر تم لوگوں نے علم سے کم ہی بہرہ پایا ہے"
Maryam (19:64)
وَ مَا نَتَنَزَّلُ اِلَّا بِاَمۡرِ رَبِّکَ ۚ لَہٗ مَا بَیۡنَ اَیۡدِیۡنَا وَ مَا خَلۡفَنَا وَ مَا بَیۡنَ ذٰلِکَ ۚ وَ مَا کَانَ رَبُّکَ نَسِیًّا
[Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful -
اے محمدؐ، ہم تمہارے رب کے حکم کے بغیر نہیں اُترا کرتے جو کچھ ہمارے آگے ہے اور جو کچھ پیچھے ہے اور جو کچھ اس کے درمیان ہے ہر چیز کا مالک وہی ہے اور تمہارا رب بھولنے والا نہیں ہے
The aayat "min amri rabbi" is consistently with ar rooh if you see and if read the above aayah in which jibreel as clearly saying that he descend not except by the order of your lord.
Dr. Hany somewhere you may be correct about the links you have given like mary and zakaria may be husband and wife and surah luqman is about no other than zakariya and his son yahya and may be isa was yahya brother but the tafsil you presented about we need more clarification.

What floored me was at the end, the “multiple deaths, multiple lifes” of Yahya as. You said “chilling”, I felt that chill when you interpreted the aya correctly.
How many other prophets had had the same punishment visited unto them? An Indian subcontinent prophet, maybe?
It could be inferred that the final dearh of Yahya as was a lot closer to Muhammad saw then we had ever previously thought.

I'm interested in your tafseer methodology Dr Hany. I agree with this new and fresh interpretation. Meanwhile, I come across Surah Al-Anbiya 21:89&90.. the old interpretation is still playing in my mind especially when I read the word 'zaujahu' in 21:90 which means 'his wife' in most tafseer. Would you clarify this?

I have been saying this go to Ibn Kathirs Tafsir of Surah Baqara verse 29 where Ibn Kathir enlighten us That the Earth earth🌍 rests on a huge fish 🐠 and when that fish moves; it causes earthquake. Again he enlightens us in 68:1 and tells: It was said that Nun is the great whale who is underneath the seven Earths. Where did the greatest physicist Dr Kathir got this info?
Furthermore, Al-Baghawy, may Allah rest his soul - and a group of commentators stated that on the back of this whale there is a great rock whose thickness is greater than the width of the heavens and the earth and above this rock is a bull that has forty thousand horns. On the body of this bull are placed the seven earths and all that they contain. Again Suyudi in his book. He even stated a fix date that Kiyama is gonna establish. He said around 14 plus hundred years after Hijra. The same Suyusi who claimed Mahdi would advent 1200 years after Hijra. Guesswork and hoaxes!! The same idea of ibn Such kathir’s guesswork made Binbaz to issue a fatwa in Mamlakat Saudiyya that “who ever believes that the earth is not flat and the sun is not rising and setting, such person is Kafir and his blood and properties are violable and his wife would be automatically divorced”

This is what I've been telling myself for years since my frequent reading of alQuran, Allaah is too kareem and waduud to go against the fithrah He has created in human's heart, in this case woman too. His words are of just and kareem, can't be otherwise. Alhamdulillaah Allaah gives this clear and relevant undestanding of His ayaat in alQuran through Dr Hany which cling perfectly to my heart. You cannot rely solely on one's persons opinion on the meaning of ayas im the Qur'an.
Especially if it negates all the gathered knowledge of 1400 years ago, the interpretation the early islamic scholars were brought in.

Salaams. Its would be nice to know the exact book you read from. The Quran I read from is the "noble Quran" translated by Muhsin Khan and the English is just so different from what you read. The English language does not do the arabic justice at all, but your translation is closer. What Quran is it? So that I may follow along better.

Salaamun Alaykum Dr Hany, Im particularly intruiged with ayat 3:43 “O Maryam! Practice silence for the sake of your lord, and prostrate and bow with those who bow.” If I were to remove the statement "with those who bow" from the ayat gives me a different understanding. Its like Allah is telling Maryam to do those acts like them so she wont be seen as an outsider. Then, my mind went to the event of Isra & Miraj (as this prostrating/bowing is connected to salaah, I think)... Im now questioning if that event actually occured and to think that our prophet dare to negotiate with Allahh to reduce the 50 daily prayers to 5...... im now thinking that these Baaudah and Hawariyeens may have a hand in this... especially when I see past enjoinments with other prophets was in the mornings and evenings meaning only 2... Also is Maryam Egyptian? if she is from the west of where Zakariyya is, presuming that he is in Jerusalem. or am I doing the Al Aajilah interpretations again?

Thank you for pointing it out I have been doing research on this for while I was looking for principals which Dr Hany highlighted plus very similar interpretation I have been looking into.That is why I am praising him. All we need is to follow methodology principals. Understanding of these principals lacked coherency with me Dr Hany has made it clear in my mind & put a structure around my understanding & thinking, but your observation is correct.

In my case I feel I have understood quite a bit, I am also looking forward to the other 2 series. Plus I have watched his previous videos to familiarise my self with the methodology. Again in my experience you have to watch his videos few times to get the grasp of the topic.

When I re-read sections of surah Maryam, I was still thinking that the similar ayats regarding birth, death and coming back to life referred to two different people....🤔 Now, I see it refers to one person, i.e. Yahya (AS).
THERE IS NO YAHYA MENTIONED IN THE QUR'ANIC TEXT HERE.

This ayah refers to Yahya (AS) as the previous ayat talks about him.
9:33 Peace was on me the day I was born, and will be on me the day I die and the day I am raised to life again.
In the existing tafseer this ayah in first person has been attributed to Isa (AS) as the next ayat speak about him. However, if all the preceding ayat refer to Yahya (AS) - note ayah 9:30 he said: ‘I am a servant of God. He has granted me the Scripture; made me a prophet;
This should be Yahya (AS) speaking...this is my understanding so far.

Can you please *explain the difference between SLM and SJD?*
I understand SLM as in Islam, to mean peacefully and willingly surrendering.
While SJD as in Sujood, to mean submission. But, what is really the difference?
Also, please add Alif-Ta-Ayn to that list (as in obey).
And in the Quran we read (according to my understanding) about the disbelievers being told to make SJD on the day of judgment, but they cannot do it on command then and there. My question is, if SJD is always to mean submission, then how do you make submission on command, right here and now (if being commanded)?
