The prankster caller most probably was turned into a mouse because he broke Fae's unspoken rules. Just like a lot of doomed clients.

13:29 it's Whiskers The Cat. Another company email mentioned him and asked employes not to feed Whiskers. They clearly buy (or stole - because one of the clients had the cat with exact the same name) him to kill underpefroming mice ex-employees.

I love the balance of horror and comedy in this game. It doesn't take itself too seriously but some of the concepts are quite terrifying and the voice acting really enhances it.
With the artifacts, it’s less of an “could” and “if” situation on starvation, and more of a “definitely will” one, because if I’m not mistaken for that entry, there isn’t exactly a way to save children or small animals who are encased at all.
Yeah, cause the solution was to remove the artifact safely or to call to remove it, and use Memory Wisps to help with grieving easier

According to the Fae run organisation you can't save a victim- but that is the same organisation that pretty much attempts to gaslight both staff and callers into accepting that they either have to live with a new roommate or buy a new house.
You probably could save False Artifact's victim by breaking it but either there would be consequences to it (look at the consequence call from the guy who had a mole problem) or Fae don't want you to harm this particular type of criptid.

Its weird that the company cat is named Whiskers, the same cat one of the callers tells us she had. Either they named a cat the same, or after helping her, her cat gets taken. Or maybe she got hired?
It's not too uncommon a name I think. Sorta like Spike, Fido or any other stereotypical name for a dog. Or another for cats could be Mittens or Fluffy

Make sure to get the viewer interested by showing examples after the first description. If you say a caller speaks in gibberish, play the clip of the gibberish. Use the audio to assist us, the viewer, with understanding the concept. I’ve seen the game, but not everyone has. Otherwise, great video.
Maybe I'm just an a**hole but I find it pretty cringe when people try to tell other people how to do their job like they know what's best and how things should be done. Especially when the person they're telling is in some form of entertainment field.

I think I'm agreeing with the original on this one, it can be quite frustrating to watch when the person is saying "the audio is spine chilling" but what you heard and see was no where close to what is being described, it help immerse you in more if the viewer have an example to go off (i do know he gave example across the videos, but there weren't alot of release when he's building some events to us)

My only problem with this game is the lack of Metamorphosis being an important plot point,it seems like a big deal in the demo game but not in the full game

It was a huge inspiration. The art book you unlock after completing the game talks about this.

I mean, if you're receiving a package that gives you support for a Common Hobb, and you've got black mold, and you call back to get mad that you got the wrong help, instead of screaming why you received help for something you don't know exists... it's safe to assume these common people know these things exist. Never mind people call despite the commercial talks about metamorphosis (pronounced meta - morph - o - sis), it's clear this is normal in this world, Star. You're really off on this one in multiple places.
I'm not too sure, because there's a guy who has a Common Hobb problem but he calls back saying how ridiculous the instructions and overall everything is. He completely disregarded them, leading to the Hobb undergoing metamorphosis.
To add further, many people call the number slightly confused after the police refused to attend to their case and referred them to the number instead.
What are you talking about? Most of the people complaining about mistakes are shocked about what's going on. If you've paid attention, the instructions say the customers will only be sent instructions that they need to know. The information about the creature is only given to employees. Duh, that's why you need clearance for every stage.
No, the callers don't know there is a supernatural element at play.
There is a lady who calls about a strange tree covered in a black liquid suddenly showing up in her shed. She suspects her son joined satanistic cult and that this is the result of that mischief. It's clear she doesn't suspect *real* supernatural phenomena. Same goes for callers who call about Fae Flu or False Beet- even in consequence calls they are confused, panicked and want further help without realising they are doomed.
There *are* humans in the game who know about the supernatural to some extent- policemen, doctors and some of the victims' relatives who have unspecified professions (look at Autumn Vines caller). But that isn't common knowledge. In fact, people unknowingly buy houses of either victims of the supernatural or people who dodged danger just barely and the buyer ends up in dicey situations thanks to the lack of knowledge (Cellar Grotto caller is a great example of that.
So there are fae that are essentially mimics, are false artifacts an actual thing?

Prank caller was probably not a human (one of his calls had interaction with soneone who found him in the background).
He was most probably just a normal guy with a voice changer, as it turns off when hsh finds him. Also, he gets mouse’d

@@chonky4205 basically, a better version of Pokemon on PC (IMO) - has many mechanics from Pokemon games, but reworked and redesigned (for example, opposite elements in battle - they are not simply stronger, but apply buffs\debuffs). Cozy RPG. Amazing music and style, world is rich on quest-lines and also big boss fights feel reeally cool in this game
Idk how to compare it to Palworld, to be fair, as I only watched it on streams a bit. But Cassette Beasts definitely are closer to Pokemon games, than Palworld is

You didn't point out the connection between 8:39 (Missing persons report) and 18:45 (The true form of the witch, the kidnapper) which basically summarizes what they do:
1- They abduct children, in this story, it was "Mike" first, the pervious employee, and then it was you "Robbie" Why children? I'm not quiet sure but maybe because children learn faster or for whatever reason.
2- They put children to the test which consists of many stages.
3- A child either passes and becomes one of them or fails and is turned into a mouse.
4- mice are neglected and left to their own fate.
This makes the game even more disturbing, not only are you turned into a mouse, but you are just a kid.
The previous employee and the player are not the missing children. They were never kidnapped, just two people who didn't know what they were signing up for. Plus, if the player was a kid why would they be the same height as carol in the good ending?
