Nick is a genius. Keep a bunch of research so when the game is a bit dead and there’s nothing to do, you can make a bunch of videos clearing them.
I had fun with my friends. The problem, for me; was that it seemed lack luster compared to the previous Tours. The last three years we’ve completed a dex, had a collection challenge each hour to keep us interested, and waaaay more shinies. The fact that the only “collection” challenge was the photos of the lake trio and then the Regis candy rewards were hard to do because the lack of those particular types in the wild, it was mostly an exercise in frustration for me. My friends and I mostly checked out of really paying attention halfway through. You seemed to have a lot to do, mostly because you didn’t complete your research from the previous week.
Like I said, I had fun being out with my friends, but the event wasn’t great for me. 🤷♀️

Lol, I was about to come say that this could generously be called the 2nd biggest event of the year.
Got my first ever Shundo as an Origin Palkia!!! Could NOT believe it, still stoked, but it didn't have Spacial Rend, thankfully I got another one with the move to use when needed but otherwise a new favorite for the collection for sure!! I also finally caught my hunted Pokemon being a shiny Gible, which I finally found on the last spotlight hour of the last day! Wasn't great but I love him lol And I got a great IV 3 star Gible from the shadow research that I powered up instantly! This was the first big event I've been able to take part in since my wife and I picked the game back up late last year and I am really stoked to be a part of this community!
Hell yeah man, welcome to shundo club. I got my shundo Ho-oh 3 years ago now, and almost got another shundo in this event, a 98 IV Shiny normal Dialga.
Everyone I talked to complained about seeing few if any shinies, I got one over the whole weekend...
4:34 pretty sure it's just your phone spying on you. Typically if I repeatedly talk about wanting a specific shiny pokemon I get it within a couple days

I got one shinie Uxie and that’s it, I was playing for about 3 hours each day too
12 shinys in 12 hrs play over the weekend. Seemed like rate was about 1/60 for me.
shadows being in research was such a W.
Out of 11 of us for 2 days straight from start to finish only 1 guy caught a shiny Dragon period and it was a Dialga. 1 caught a Hundo Palkia and I'd say my top rare is a 0% Uxie and a Shiny level 1 Uxie. Shiny spawn rate seemed to be straight up disappointing but I did manage to win in the amount of Shinies total

This is my favorite generation of pokemon. The fact I have all the ones from this event, though no shinies, I am so happy!

One of my favorite parts of the event was the fact you didn't have to buy a ticket for boosted shiny rates
Recommended, use Roar of Time effect when an event has 3 hours incense and lure modules such as community day.
If Niantic didn't shut down double scan radius from player character then activate Spatial Rend we have quadruple scanning radius for Pokemon in the wild and spin Pokestop or Gym photos.
If Origin Palkia and Dialga return to raid during 2024 Pokemon Festival, so may signalling their boss Arceus will coming to Pokemon Festival 2024 in Pokemon Go.

For someone who is as close to a professional Pokémon trainer as it gets, and considering he endorsed the Go Backpack kickstarter a few years ago, Nick sure does forget a lot of essential trainer items, like a phone charger 😂😂😂
Saturday morning just before the event started, I pulled in at the preferred local spot for Pokemon Go, and before I even got out of my car, two other players pulled in right next to me. We ended up with a group of 9 players (plus a couple's kid walking with us and a different couple's infant in a stroller) walking around, catching and doing raids. It was the biggest group I've gotten to play with in a good while, and the weather was perfect.
I'm glad you're not stressing about the game as much. Because seeing you not throwing Pinaps on your shiny Legendaries, and leaving your charger in the car while you're phone was dying, had me tripping 😂😂. Good that you enjoyed the event 🎉

I really hope these special dalga/palgia bonuses are gonna be back cause I failed spectacularly - I'm a rural player and wider spawn area would've been amazing for me. So I read up on each choice... and then accidentally picked the time stopping one. I'm so mad hahahah

I’ve done 72 raids and no shiny dialga 😅 But sometimes it just eludes you! Lifetime I’ve done what, a hundred Kyogre? And no shiny yet. Thank goodness for trading!
I got 13 shinies total for the two day event. Day one was mostly wild/research shinies with a hatched tiny shiny Riolu. Sunday was raids with a wild H-Growlithe in the mix. My only miss was not getting a Spatial Rend O-Palkia. I'll trade for that later on with a lucky trade.

did 85 origin only raids over the weeknd and got 8 shiny origins!!! hatched 5 shiny regionals, got 19 random wild shinies, and 2 perfects. great weekend!!!!
After 7 years! I FINALLLLLY GOT MY FIRST SHUNDO!!! &&& it was an origin forme dialga from a raid inv!! Ahhh I'm a lil too happy lol I have quite a few 98 shinies but not a SHUNDO!!!
I was able to catch 2 of the 3 lake trio shiny in the wild back to back

I only got 8 Shinies total from both days. But I got Shiny Origin form Dialga! From the second raid I did too. Also got Shiny Hisuian Decidueye. And somehow I caught 3 wild Azelf (not including the reward encounter).
I chose diamond. did 115 polka/giratina/dialga raids. 4 total shinies. my hound polka origin had spacial rend though. how freaking lucky!!

This was a great event. I played with my sons, one got shiny Pikachu with Lucas hat, another got shiny Hisuian Sneasel I got shiny Uxie. All of us has Dialga & Palkia in our inventories. We are happy.
I also got a shiny azelf, thinking they were guaranteed to be shiny. The others were not lol.
for the entire day on Saturday I got one shiny Pikachu and one shiny wild Mesprit (first shiny) with terrible stats. That was the entirety of the shiny I got with all the rewards, wild catches, raids, etc that I did. Sad face,
The variance in shiny luck was wild. I got 3 shinies over the course of both days, playing for a few hours straight each day.
Friends ended up in the 14-20 range, including a shundo.

I did pretty good on the last day of the event I caught 27 shinies in total hatched 2 shinies which was bonsly and also a shiny parinard. Caught couple of pokemon in the wild and got 2 shiny origin dialiga back to back and then later got me a shiny palkia with both shinies having there special moves. Hatched a chatlot which is cool cause I didn't have it in the Pokedex yet so that was dope the only shiny I wanted most out of the event was shiny spirtomb which I knew I wouldn't get shiny freaking hates me but one day I'll get me a shiny blue ghost.
It's weird how we've gone from everyone constantly having their charger on them with the vigilance of a soldier keeping a canteen on them, to now it's something we casually forget like sunglasses. I quit playing last year but I'd already noticed it then. And it wasn't so much that battery life had improved as it was just not always having the screen on.
Event was alright got a 15/15/14 origin palkia but it didn’t have special rend

Crazy weekend for sure. My girlfriend got 2 shiny legendaries from 12 raids and I got 3 from around 40
I've been off go for over a year and I came back shortly before the event. I managed to get all the cool shinies except origin palkia but origin dialga is beautiful and made me realize how much I missed the game. Sadly don't like how pricey the game is now. 😅

Legendary shiny rates seemed to be low for the event. I did like 80 dialga/palkia raids and only got one, many of my friends who played with me had similarly low odds. One guy did 100 and got none

Looking for help. Bought Diamond Ticket, caught shiny Origin Dialga Sunday night but it doesn't have Roar of Time. All my other 11 that I caught do. Filed a report with Niantic but haven't heard back. Has anyone else encountered this probelm? Did you report it? Was it resolved? Thanks in advance for any responses.
