Few questions:
1. Does the STB requires bluetooth speakers or tv's internal will work?
2. Have/Can you to try to use STB with some other broadband or mobile hotspot.

1 - No tv speaker will work
2 - i have not tried that but I am sure we can use it as it gives the options to choose the network
So if I take a postpaid connection for 6 months and after that I don't want to use jio internet but want to keep the connection and devices. Is that possible or they don't allow that.

Hey there, thank you for your help till now. I just wanted to let you know that I migrated from Prepaid to Postpaid on 30th Oct. As I already had a JioFibre router (security deposit- Rs1500), I didn't have to pay an advance for 6 months. I just went over to the My Jio app's Fibre section & applied to migrate over to Postpaid & paid Rs706 in advance. I instantly got a confirmation message that I was migrated over to Postpaid & then I received a free STB coupon in the voucher section. I had to manually redeem the coupon from the voucher section & was prompted to choose a date & time for the technician visit for STB installation.
This was much more convenient for me rather than having to surrender my current JioFibre WiFi connection & freshly reapply for a new connection with STB which would have needed me to pay 6 months in advance. (BTW, they said that the security deposit would remain the same & I would get the same refund of Rs500 if I ever surrender this new Postpaid connection.😁
Cons which I found:
1. Couldn't completely uninstall any of the apps- I tried to uninstall some of the unwanted apps like Netflix, Amazon, JioJoin & Shilpa Shetty's Yoga app from the Jio Store app & as well as from the settings. Well, initially they did disappear from the main Home screen but once I powered off & powered back on the STB everything came back on the Home screen automatically. It was like I never did anything in the first place. This happened every time.
2. Video stream freezes up: On auto-connecting any type of speaker device via Bluetooth like Home theatre, Neckbands or Earbuds while any content is being streamed (Live TV channels/CZcams or any content). The stream freezes up. The interface remains active. Everything can still be navigated but at that time no content or video can be streamed. Every content just buffers. The only fix to this issue is to completely switch off & on your STB.
The STB only works with Bluetooth speakers when you auto-connect the Bluetooth speakers at the very beginning while the STB powers on for the first time (during the time it plays the intro ads).
Note- The speakers were all separately paired from the settings or else they won't connect automatically.
Except for the two above, my experience was superb. This was a big upgrade for me as I used to use a cable HD STB. The service use to stay down most of the time & the quality of the HD channels were not always up to the mark. Hence, the new experience is great for me.

I wanted to ask one thing. Whenever you open any Sony channel does it asks you to select from which profile you want to open Sony liv app or it just opens Sony liv app and starts playing that live channel.
Yes it does ask randomly some times
