Great video, keeping it at 10 mins too, it’s actually potentially a very in-depth topic.
My Bruder abs I just started a business together. We do house painting, lawn care, landscaping, etc. I need to create bids, invoice, do ach, create agreements/ contracts, keep track of potential and existing clients, etc. Sounds like Plus will be best, but open to your thoughts 😀
I'm still extremely frosted about their move to the SAAS model and it is bending small business over backwards with their pricing. I moved from QBD (Professional Services Edition) to QBO (Essentials because that is what my company could afford) and lost a boat-ton load of functionality. Complaints fall on deaf ears at Intuit. They have abandoned their core market.
I TOTALLY understand the frustration!!
Hi Jamie! Would you recommend the Simple Start Plan for people who are just starting out & don't have a business licences? Or at what point would you think you should start considering Quickbooks? I'm still debating a license but I also am terrified of Tax Season lol
Hey there! So regardless of whether you have a business license, taxes are still required to be paid off of any profit. Business licenses are really more about telling local authorities that you have a business but they don't impact the IRS or taxes. If you are making an income, you'll have to report for taxes. You could definitely start with Simple Start, or if you are just starting, you may just want to keep a list of your income and expenses until your business is up and running and avoid the monthly fees. You could snag my P&L template for a one-time cost if you want to use that ;) jamietrull.com/profitloss
@@JamieTrull I’ll have to check it out!! thank you!!! 🤍
Hi I am a barber / barbershop owner and I have a transportation company! Which package would u recommend?
This really depends on your unique needs. I would recommend weighing the pros and cons I outline in this video to make the best decision, but I really do love Quickbooks plus.
I am currently using the desktop version to handle simple bookkeeping for over 20 companies. If I switch to online I will have to pay for each individual company which is quite expensive. Are they discontinuing the desktop version? Do you have any other recommendations? Any other cloud basedrecommendations? Thank you so much.
Here is a video you can check out about Desktop czcams.com/video/wpgR69fIA2w/video.html
@@JamieTrull thanks- but i would still need to buy QB online for each company which would run $5000/year
@@bshubo I am literally just starting out and looking to do simple bookkeeping for multiple companies, and I have this question as well. I did not realize, (until yesterday when I downloaded QBO), that each company will need a subscription. Any advice????
Great video! What is your email? I'm interested in learning more about the reduced pricing for payments. Do you charge a fee to set this up?

Great video maam! I have a partnership, just me and my wife. We have a CZcams channel along with one product selling on Amazon fba. We currently use excel. I am thinking simple start. Let me know your thoughts if this is the right choice for me. Thank you so much for your time!
You can always start out with Simple Start and then upgrade or downgrade as needed. I would check out the features comparison and just make sure it has everything you would want! I will say that Simple Start is geared more toward service vs. product businesses, so you might just want to make sure it has what you need.
Don't use any version of QuickBooks unless you only import data from a web app. They started removing that ability in versions 2019 and older all together and 2024 means a world of hurt for anyone with an existing general ledger.
That includes trying to import a generic CSV to an existing ledger.
To qualify my statements, I have spend the last two months fighting with clients and lawyers over QB choice to go webapp only. And staying on an unsupported version won't save you, even though you bought the software with the ability to drop it in through the .exe, they removed it. 2020-2023 desktop is the only versions that can still perform local imports, for now.
