I watched another video where that accountant said no more enhanced payroll after July 31, 2024. He said you'd have to go to online but you can get a stand alone just for payroll. All I use is desktop payroll for my office. It sounded like you said one can continue using enhanced payroll after July 31, 2024. You do explain things very clearly, which I really appreciate!

I purchased a 2024 Desktop and almost immediately began receiving the alerts!! It said that I needed to purchase a subscription. I am so confused and quite upset. I don't use payroll, but I do use the file transfer feature

Hello, I can't stand QB, which I've had for years, which is also why I'd like to switch from QB desktop to another desktop software that's designed for that purpose, so it's seamless, easy migration, almost identical, with built-in shipping manager, etc.
Is there such a thing, & if so, which is the best?

Thank you for this video. I have QB Desktop 2021 non subscription based and I use the payroll feature, but manually. Will I still have access to manual payroll after 5/31/24 without upgrading to 2024? Thank you in advance for your reply.

You will still have access to manual payroll, however, if Intuit makes changes in the future with Windows then you may not be able to access it if you don't upgrade now.

Unfortunately, there aren't any official channels to get Non-Subscription versions of QuickBooks Desktop. I'd also recommend being cautious when dealing with 3rd-party resellers when purchasing QB Desktop.
