How to Make a Bolster Pillow Cover

One of the final decor elements in Ellie's Bedroom Makeover was to add decorative pillows. We thought that Bolster pillows would add a perfect touch to her French country daybed. While we both have done quite a bit of sewing through the years we had never made a bolster pillow, but we discovered it's easier than it looks. Just follow along with our step by step tutorial with video and see how easy it is to get professional results.

Hello! Why do you cut the fabric on the biase when preparing the piping? Does it make a big difference if you don't?

Hey Molly, thanks so much for watching! Yes it truly does make a difference to cut on the biase! It will allow the fabric to stretch better which will make it easier to work with and go around the corners. Hope that helps.

We actually found our pillows at a thrift store and made new coverings. You could try an upholstery shop, they usually have better quality foam, batting, etc. than the typical fabric, craft stores
