That lady work so hard give her a raise
Your question is reasonable, but the main goal is to create a pillow cover that is smaller than the pillow form. If we added the amount for seam allowance (one inch) then the pillow cover would equal the size of the pillow form and it would not be a nice tight fit. In upholstery making you will find “no hard fast rules” instead you should do what works best for you. It is our opinion that a 1” smaller pillow cover (even after seams) results in a tightly fitting cover over a pillow form.
She is wroking really professinal..You can see all the work from the years on her hands... i'm impressed !!!
Deb is very skilled! Her hands are beautiful to me because I also sew for my job and mine show signs of my craft also! Great video!
Thanks for your positive comments!

This is one of the best tutorials that I've ever seen. The detailed instructions and actual assembly are excellent. Thank you so much for such good directions. I THINK I will be able to do this going step by step with you. Thanks!!

One of the best "how to" videos I have seen. Admittedly I had to rewatch the calculation part several times however the end result was a beautiful bolster pillow. Very concise instructions.

There certainly is great value in learning from professionals. This video is very well done and every step was so clearly explained. I had no questions whatsoever, which is unusual for me. Sewing videos require quite a bit of description and precise instructions. This video is great!

आपका स्वागत है!
.... a-do-rei!!! obrigada!!! TT
Your awesome! Well done 👍
I was experimenting with your measurements on my pillow form. The math did not fit the pillow. (5.5 -1)x 3.14 = 14.13 + 2.25 = 16.38 That was not near enough material for my 18 inch pillow form. When I went to your video with the bolster and piping the measurement part was perfect for my pillow. Plus the info to actually measure around the pillow helped. If I took my 5.5 and added 1 then x 3.14 it made the number measurement work giving me 20.41 then adding 1 inch for seam it then would work. When I soft tape measured my pillow it was 19 inches around. I am sure glad I didn't cut the material according to the directions on this video.
First, the finished cover is supposed to be SMALLER than the pillow form for a tight fit. Second, if your pillow measured more than 17 1/4" around, the diameter was bigger than 5 1/2".
MUY BUEN TRABAJO, SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO...

We are glad you liked the video.
Thank. You bro
i only needed the part where you stitch on the circles (from 8:50 on - step 4). i guess there is no easy way of doing it! i tried to make bolster pillows way back and failed miserably with that. this really helps... knowing to make the matching marks and knowing how not to stretch the fabric when you stitch around. thanks! : )
You are welcome!
