  • YONEX is quickly becoming one of the most popular brands in tennis not only because of their racquets but their strings as well.
YONEX has designed Poly Tour Rev to rival Babolat RPM Blast. For many who know and those who don’t, RPM Blast has a cult following of users not only because it is the string used by Rafa Nadal but also because of the playability and amount of spin produced by the string. Poly Tour Rev goes toe-to-toe with its rival RPM Blast and in some areas does better while in others RPM still reigns supreme.

Would be interested in an overview of all the Yonex strings in the poly tour line. A lot of reviews online but with a lot of conflicting opinions...

It may take me some time to playtest all of them but I can definitely do that

It's a good string, for like 3-4 hours. After that it feels dead and unresponsive with lack of control....

I can definitely see that from playing with it. I think I got a little bit more life out of mine but I can definitely tell the drop off from when I first strung my racquet with Rev

@@brodytaylor2020 I mean this is general problem with prob. 80% of co-polys on the market. They play great for the first few hours, but then drop off a cliff...

Yeah, luckily like you said there are some out there that can keep tension longer so that people feel better about paying to use a polyester

@@brodytaylor2020 Yes, but most of these strings that hold tension well are really stiff and uncomfortable... Lynx Tour, 4G, Tour M8 are very demanding strings...

Agreed. What’s your opinion on Tecnifibre Triax for tension maintenance? I haven’t got to use it myself yet but have had a few people talk to me about it so far

Your videos are informative but lack hitting footage to convince the audience. We all know different levels of the players react to strings and racquets differently, it would be nice to know your level of play and what type of player you are, so the viewers know if your opinions apply to them or not.

Thank you for the feedback! Having the hitting footage does help people to understand if what I am saying does apply to them and I have had some videos with that in the past.
My phone does not have enough storage on it to record and keep both the hitting and the actual video itself so that is why I’ve opted to post without any on court shots
