- We put three civilians through the ACFT Army fitness test to see if they could pass. The Army Combat Fitness Test, or ACFT, is the new standard for physical fitness in the Army. Watch Eli, Bianca, and David as they’re put through their paces by our host Sean (retired Command Sergeant Major), and secure their place on the ACFT score chart.

Are you trying to ace the ACFT or have you already nailed it? Maybe you’re here looking for tips to conquer the newest Army combat fitness test. Watch our civilians take the test and get tips from Sean as he breaks it all down.
The ACFT standards are designed to maintain combat readiness across the Army. ACFT events are included because they do just that, testing the physical capabilities of soldiers to increase resilience, enhance toughness, and prevent injury.
The ACFT events include deadlifts, the standing power throw, hand release push-ups, the sprint-drag-carry, planks, and a two-mile run. Each of these ACFT Army events comes with its own criteria for performing the exercise correctly and for passing the event.
ACFT scores are measured on a chart that scales based on age and sex. The new test and its scoring were developed by analyzing over 630,00 scores, a Congressional assessment, and historic data from the APFT test and APFT standards. You can find an ACFT calculator here (www.army.mil/e2/downloads/rv7...) to check out your own personal Army ACFT standards.

These civilians are about 100% more physically fit than what walks into a recruiting station on any given day... Just saying... Seasoned personnel are capable, however even personnel that were considered APFT 300's under 3 event system, are struggling mostly with the order of the events. Good on the Army for taking out the Leg Tuck cuz it was getting the best of them... Finally, got to be coolest retired CSM, I ever seen and heard. Most smoke 3-packs a day and yell at neighbor's kids to get off the grass and get a haircut.. lol
You absolutely can swing the ball on the ball throw
For the record, you can swing on the ball toss. It is not a ground to throw movement. It never has been
Bianca is fire!
This was cool
Fun video, thanks!
These are some very fit civilians lol the ACFT kicks the natty guards butt, especially those who have desk jobs.
It says you analyzed 630,00 scores. Is that 63,000 or 630,000?
How have I lived at the beach so long and never known that VeteranLife was right there 😂
Where can I get a sled like that for hard ground?
