I feel as though his designs are unique and well-thought out, yet they are wearable. It makes his shows more enjoyable for me to watch as opposed to some other high end brands where it looks as if the models are wearing art - intriguing but impractical.
This is because on runways you find 2 kinds of collections: Haute Couture and Prêt à porter. Haute couture is creatively pushed to some extremes while Prêt à porter is focused on being able to actually wear the clothes. And this is what Jacquemus do in his collections. I might be wrong on that one but I think he never did Haute Couture? If he did I’d love to see it!
Fashion shows are supposed to be show like a form of art n showcase of what a creative designer can do, like what Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs did in the past, but nowadays it's just streetstyle wearable clothes that feeds consumerism n the same thing over n over again n to create hype on socials medias or whatever. I still appreciate fashion as an art. U can buy wearable clothes at Zara or H&M.

Jayden Cutler because if an all white staff is using black/poc models as a way to show their inclusivity without adjusting the inclusiveness within their staff then it’s just performative pandering to black/poc folk
Relaxed and ethereal. Location, casting, production and collection are balanced. I figured since this is for next summer season, they really thought big on sustainability and longevity, that way the collection will have more impact and longer shelve’s life.

This was absolutely stunning! At first I wasn't sure but then understood how clever and stunning this was. Understated, different, refreshing, unpretentious, beautiful garments, a diverse range of models....Wonderful styling and photographic simplicity with the wheat and simple runway......
What am amazing show: clothes,location,models and even a wonderful way to social distance by putting the guests in their own wheat field “box” - Jacquemus has become one of my fav designers! His work is so lovely and fresh every time. Happy to say I just purchased my first dress from this house, just in time for summer! Aloha🏝🤙
